The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 358: Chapter 358 Don’t Ask About the Relationship, It’s a Friend If You Ask_1

The little girl screamed as she tumbled down from the air, and at the same time, a young silhouette appeared beside the railing, moving with incredible speed.

However, no matter how fast the figure was, it could not outpace the falling girl.

Carson Flores’s body pushed off the ground, darting forward, then he stepped on the nearby railing, propelling himself skyward, reminiscent of the night he rescued Ye Wen from falling off the building.

Unlike that night, Carson Flores was now a Great Grandmaster, stronger than before, and the height the little girl fell from was only about four stories, roughly twelve meters.

Carson Flores soared upward, and midair, he gently extended his arms and caught the little girl.

Carson Flores acted gently, hugging the little girl tightly, reducing the momentum of her fall, securing her body, and then bent his knees slightly, letting himself fall towards the ground below before landing steadily on the grass.

Carson Flores glanced at the little girl in his arms, relieved, and was about to turn away when a figure flashed in the corner of his eye, and someone appeared in front of him instantaneously.

So fast!

Carson Flores’s pupils shrank as he looked up to see a woman in her late twenties, beautiful, with her eyes fixed on the child in his arms, still showing traces of lingering fear.

”Mommy...”

The little girl, clearly terrified by the moment, reached out her arms to the woman, crying for a hug.

Carson Flores handed the little girl to the woman, who took the child and gently patted her back to comfort her while quickly checking for injuries, and finally relaxed after confirming there were none.

The young woman’s gaze landed on Carson Flores, gratitude in her eyes, ”Mister, thank you for saving Ranran.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”No need to thank me, just happened to pass by... Children at this age are active without a sense of danger, it’s best not to leave them alone.”

The young woman nodded, ”There are railings all around the platform, I just went to get some water, never thought she could squeeze through... Mister, are you here for the conference?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Yes, here to broaden my horizons.”

The young woman asked, ”May I know how to address you, sir? Which Sect do you belong to?”

”Carson Flores.”

Carson Flores replied honestly, ”I am unaffiliated, my master is Andrew.”

The young woman nodded, ”Mr. Flores, please come in for a cup of tea.”

Carson Flores glanced at the tearful little girl and declined with a smile, ”There’s no need for tea, keep her company. She must be quite scared from the fright, I better be going!”

Carson Flores bid farewell briskly and turned to leave.

The young woman watched his retreating figure with gratitude and admiration in her eyes.

He didn’t even inquire about her identity or take the opportunity to make connections, just turned and left gracefully. Such temperament was indeed rare.

She decided to have someone look into him, as it wouldn’t do not to repay his kindness.

Carson Flores, on the other hand, didn’t think too much of it. Saving a lovely little girl put him in a rather good mood. After strolling around, he returned to the hotel.

Just as he was about to head upstairs, someone suddenly called out, ”Carson Flores!”

Carson Flores turned his head and saw Preston Rhodes, whom he had met once before, also the brother of Camille Rhodes. Beside Preston stood a serious-looking middle-aged man and an elderly man with white hair, who seemed to be from the Rhodes Family as well.

Carson Flores turned around and greeted with a smile, ”Mr. Rhodes, hello.”

Preston Rhodes looked a bit surprised, ”Are you here for the conference too?”

Carson Flores wouldn’t divulge his primary purpose of searching for Johnny Gross of the Yueyu Sect and replied with a smile, ”Nothing in particular, just here for a visit. Have you just arrived?”

Preston Rhodes nodded and introduced, ”This is my father, and this is my great-grandfather from the Rhodes Family...”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Mr. Kaden, good to see you, and good to see you, old sir.”

Kaden Rhodes and Paxton Rhodes both had a slightly odd expression; they remembered Camille’s mockery of them very well.

If it wasn’t for that incident, Kaden Rhodes would certainly take on the airs of an elder and might even pressure Carson Flores, but after being doused by Camille’s icy words, how could they dare to act superior now?

A bona fide Great Grandmaster!

A Great Grandmaster at the age of twenty-seven!

Kaden Rhodes smiled and extended his hand proactively, ”Mr. Flores, you saved my daughter a few days ago. I had the bodyguard invite you over to express our gratitude, but there was a misunderstanding. I hope you don’t take it to heart.”

Carson Flores shook hands with Kaden Rhodes and replied with a smile, ”Mr. Kaden, you’re too kind. I consider Miss Rhodes a friend; it’s only natural to help.”

A friend?

Kaden Rhodes inwardly smiled bitterly, seeing his daughter had a clearer view than he did; Carson Flores really didn’t regard the Rhodes Family highly.

All this formality in addressing him as Mr. Kaden, the distance it implied, both understood what it meant.

My relationship with your daughter is between me and her. Naturally, I will help her if she’s in trouble, but beyond that, the Rhodes Family should not expect more.

As for what kind of relationship it is, do not ask; if asked, it’s friendship.

Slept together?

Can’t one be friends after sleeping together?

Kaden Rhodes, after all, is a wealthy man, and his daughter is the apple of his eye, but now he felt like a mute person who had swallowed a bitter pill and could not voice his discomfort.

Who asked for the daughter’s willing consent?

Just then, another group of people entered the doorway, and Carson Flores glanced to the side. The smile on his face instantly became a bit colder.
