The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 295: Chapter 295: The Bold Thoughts Every Man Has_1

Carson Flores remained silent.

After all, there was no way to clarify this matter, a typical case of the more one tries to explain, the more confusing it becomes.

Although Shirley Miller felt somewhat ashamed and her face was blushing furiously, she didn’t turn and leave. Instead, she composed herself, adjusted her neckline naturally, and continued to treat Carson’s wounds. Even some of Carson’s unusual reactions seemed to go unnoticed by her. How she truly felt inside, only Shirley herself knew.

Carson felt quite embarrassed and had no choice but to look away, attempting to ease the awkwardness in the air and the inadvertent stirring of tenderness.

After Shirley treated all his wounds, she stood up, put the ointment back in the medicine box, and asked, ”How long will these wounds take to heal?”

Carson turned back around, his smile slightly unnatural, ”I have a good physique, so in three days at most, they should be healed.”

Shirley nodded, ”Alright, I’ll help you change your dressings every evening.”

Just as Carson was about to say something, Shirley cut in, ”You’re not allowed to refuse.”

Carson’s words got stuck in his throat: ”Uh... okay then.”

Shirley seemed to want to say more, but was feeling very flustered inside: ”You should rest early. I’ll be going back now. Call me anytime if you need anything.”

”Okay!”

Carson escorted Shirley to the door and couldn’t help but laugh at her flustered yet feigned composure.

Shirley reached her own door and turned back to see Carson laughing at her. Her face became even more embarrassed. She glared at Carson and quickly went inside.

Returning to his room, Carson leaned against the headboard of the bed, reflecting on the interaction they’d just had, and the corners of his mouth involuntarily curled upwards.

She caught me looking by accident, and she wasn’t even angered.

It seems her feelings towards me are truly casual now.

While Carson was pleased with this thought, he also considered Samantha Tate, with whom he had a stable relationship, and suddenly felt worried.

If Shirley truly wanted to stay married and continue life with him, what would he do?

Sister?

Sister-in-law?

Faced with this dilemma, Carson’s mind involuntarily conjured the bold idea that any normal man might have.

Why not... have both?

Carson felt a surge of uncontrollable emotion. After all, the thought was too exciting.

Although Shirley and Samantha were only very distantly related, far beyond third cousins, and they looked almost identical, like twins, the very idea that both could be with him... was too thrilling.

Before, Carson had never considered this possibility, but now that the idea had taken flight, it was like a wild horse that had broken free, impossible to control.

I’d be called a scumbag, right?

With Shirley’s character, would she slap me across the face and leave, disappearing from my world forever?

It feels quite possible!

Ah, it’s nice to think about, but I dare not reveal it, or else I’ll be hit, and in such a way that I won’t even be able to fight back.

Carson decided not to let his thoughts run wild and started addressing serious matters.

Carson picked up his phone and added Kylan Martinez and Remy Johnston to a group chat.

Carson: ”The Miller Family just laid a trap for me, luring me into an alley on my way back from the hotel, where three of their Grandmasters tried to kill me.”

Kylan: ”Are you okay?”

Carson: ”Taking on three by myself was tough. I sustained some internal injuries, but nothing serious.”

Remy: ”You took on three Grandmasters from the Miller Family by yourself? That’s intense. I heard that Peter Miller is just a step away from becoming a Great Grandmaster...”

Peter Miller?

Carson raised an eyebrow. He remembered the name very well. The man who had once hunted his father, fought with him, and inflicted serious injuries was none other than Peter Miller, a fact that Peter himself had admitted. As for the true story, only he knew.

This was, in fact, Carson’s primary target for the trip.

Carson: ”Even if I were fierce, I couldn’t withstand three people. I got beaten to a pulp, but luckily, I had called Lydia Howell to back me up in advance. Two against three, we held them off and took the chance to flee.”

Remy: ”The Miller Family is pulling out all the stops here, sending three Grandmasters at once. But Carson, you’re really something else. Three on one and they still couldn’t finish you off. What’s your next move?”

Carson: ”I’m just seeing your consultation results, then I’ll decide what to do.”

Kylan: ”My dad has preliminarily convinced the family to agree, but we need to talk face-to-face about the specifics of the cooperation.”

Remy: ”The Johnston Family is more or less in the same boat, needs a detailed face-to-face talk about how to act, how much force each side will contribute, to what extent, and the distribution of benefits afterwards. The Johnston Family actually had some opposition, and the final agreement was due to the expected benefits. After all, we don’t have direct conflicts of interest with the Miller Family.”

Carson: ”That’s as it should be. Blood brothers still have to settle accounts clearly. Since this is a multi-party cooperation, we should agree beforehand on the effort and benefits to avoid ill feelings later. Allies today could become enemies tomorrow.”

Kylan: ”Agreed. It seems the heads of the families should meet secretly to discuss.”

Remy: ”My father has the same idea.”

Carson: ”Alright, then I’ll contact the Firzgerald Family to set a time, and we can all meet up.”
