The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 281: Chapter 281: How Is It, I Didn’t Let Brother Down, Did I?_1

Henry White was stunned.

Harper Miller’s face lost its color, while Samantha Tate’s eyes danced with excitement, her excitement was boundless.

She just knew it would turn out this way!

Rodney Compton hit the ground hard, coughing up another mouthful of blood. The look he gave Carson Flores was now filled with undeniable terror.

He had been so wrong!

Carson Flores was no fool, nor was he a naive hothead. He was a tyrant dinosaur, a master of concealing his deadly fangs!

Carson Flores looked down at Rodney Compton, who had managed to get in front of him, and without another word, delivered a vicious kick that broke Rodney’s shinbone.

”I’ll let you keep your cultivation because you’re just a hired hand working for money. Remember to be grateful for my mercy,” he said coldly.

Rodney Compton groaned, but he bit his teeth without screaming in agony. Fear, reverence, and relief were the only things visible in his eyes.

As a cultivator, he didn’t fear broken arms and legs, since they could heal, but what he feared the most was losing his ability to cultivate. He was used to being a skilled cultivator, and the psychological impact of suddenly becoming an ordinary person was truly devastating.

Carson Flores turned his head and grinned at a terrified Harper Miller, ”Miss Miller, it seems you need to make a phone call. This friend of yours didn’t handle the situation very well...”

Harper Miller looked at Carson Flores with horror, still speaking harshly, ”You crippled my dad’s bodyguard, the Miller family won’t let you off the hook!”

Carson Flores walked up to Harper Miller and stared at her coldly.

At first, Harper Miller could meet Carson Flores’s gaze, but within three seconds, she dropped her eyes in fear, her voice trembling with terror, ”What do you want to do, think about the consequences!”

Carson Flores turned his head and smiled, ”Samantha, she just said she wanted to swell your face, what do you think we should do?”

Samantha Tate’s face lit up with eagerness, ”Beat her up?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Should I do it, or should you?”

Samantha Tate gave Carson Flores a sweet smile, ”You’re the big hero; it wouldn’t look good if word got out that you hit a woman. Let me handle this!”

Worried, Carson Flores asked, ”You’re not planning to start a hair-pulling face-slapping brawl in front of me, are you?”

Samantha Tate quickly tied her hair into a ponytail and snorted, ”I’ve had some practice!”

Samantha Tate walked up to Harper Miller, grabbed her hand, pulled her forward, then sidestepped and shouldered her, giving her no chance to resist, and executed a clean shoulder throw.

Harper Miller fell to the ground, her hair disheveled, her complexion pale, eyes wide with fear, no longer retaining her former arrogance.

Samantha Tate raised her hand, and two crisp slaps landed on Harper Miller’s face, instantly swelling it.

Those slaps weren’t light!

Samantha Tate stood up and turned to Carson Flores with a smile, ”How was that? I didn’t embarrass you, right?”

Carson Flores gave a thumbs up, ”Your basics are good, even a strong man wouldn’t be your match. Why didn’t you continue cultivating?”

Samantha Tate suddenly made a sour face, ”It’s too exhausting, and besides, our Gilliam family has fallen. Cultivation was just so-so; it’s better to be a happy rich person.”

Carson Flores couldn’t help but chuckle, ”Cultivating a bit more is always a good thing.”

Samantha Tate made a begging gesture, ”You’re so powerful, brother, you’ll protect me, won’t you?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”You just be lazy.”

Samantha Tate giggled, her demeanor betraying a slight triumph at having pulled one over.

Witnessing all of this, Henry White’s heart pounded. Just who was this Carson Flores, taking out Oscar Miller’s father’s bodyguard with just one move, and so ruthlessly breaking his leg? Even Samantha Tate had such a clean and crisp way of beating someone. These two really were cut from the same cloth...

Not daring to stop Samantha Tate from beating up Harper Miller, Henry White quickly helped her up after she was done.

Harper Miller, stunned from the beating, lashed out wildly, ”Go ahead, if you dare, kill me! And then I’ll see how you die after that!”

Carson Flores laughed coldly, ”Don’t think I won’t kill you. I advise you to make that call. Either send someone more skilled, or pay up. You can’t scare me to death with just your words.”

After a brief pause, his tone filled with scorn, Carson Flores added, ”Time is precious, and I can’t be bothered to waste it with you. Let me remind you, not just a minor miss from a side branch like yourself, but even your cousin, the Miller family heir, would have been dead by my hand if he hadn’t run fast. And your uncle, the Family Head, couldn’t do anything to me. So, I advise you to pay up quickly. If you don’t give me the money, I will personally visit the Miller family to collect.”

Harper Miller’s ferocity instantly froze, her eyes revealing deep terror.

Her cousin Oscar Miller was nearly killed by Carson Flores?

After all that, the Miller family hadn’t done anything to Carson Flores?

What did that mean?

It meant the Miller family could do nothing against Carson Flores!

By constantly claiming how formidable her family was, hadn’t she become the biggest joke?

Biting her teeth in frustration, Harper Miller said, ”You’re boasting. My cousin has experts protecting him, you must have taken advantage of his unpreparedness...”

Carson Flores said flatly, ”Wesley Roth? He’s dead, killed by me. If it weren’t for him buying time with his life, your cousin’s body would be rotting by now...”
