The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 255: Chapter 255: Whoever Loses Posts on Their Moments_1

”I’ll hold off on talking for now.”

Carson Flores was amused, ”Oh, there’s a time limit, huh? Isn’t that like playing tricks?”

Camille Rhodes said with a grin, ”Isn’t it normal for a woman to act spoiled with her man? It’s a sign of closeness. Being all proper and by the book, that’s how you treat strangers. You’re not a stranger. Although, we’re not lovers now, you are still my closest person. Isn’t that right?”

Carson Flores didn’t insist further and played along, asking, ”Okay then, what’s the time frame?”

Camille Rhodes looked at Carson Flores, ”One month?”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Is the validity really that short? That’s a bad deal.”

Camille Rhodes said with a chuckle, ”A month isn’t short. It takes just a moment for a woman to fall for a man, and it’s an instant to lose the feeling. A month from now, we might just be like strangers, and then I won’t have any interest in talking about it. After all, I won’t do anything that’s of no benefit to me and offends others. Don’t you agree?”

Carson Flores thought there seemed to be a bit of sense in that?

Although he knew Camille Rhodes was somewhat bullshitting him, the fact remained that the water had already reached the brim of the glass. If she really developed any feelings for him because of their one-night affair and went to Shirley Miller, it would still be a hassle.

Anyway, it was just a matter of racing just once, a matter of minutes. If it could be postponed for a month, then so be it.

Besides, in just over a month, things between him and Shirley Miller would come to light, wouldn’t they?

”Okay!”

Carson Flores nodded in agreement, ”I can take a ride, but I’m not familiar with these roads, so I might not win. If I lose, don’t blame me.”

Camille Rhodes’ eyes curved into a smile, ”If you win, I’ll reward you.”

Carson Flores asked, ”What reward?”

Camille Rhodes said slyly, ”You won’t be disappointed.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Okay, then. I look forward to it.”

Camille Rhodes took Carson Flores back to Kylie Martinez, chuckling, ”The bet is on.”

Kylie Martinez looked at Carson Flores with a cold laugh, ”So the hero can’t resist the beauty? Is that it?”

Carson Flores replied with a smile, ”Thank you for the compliment. Men conquer the world, and women conquer men. That’s just how this world works.”

Kylie Martinez snorted and turned to Camille Rhodes, ”You name the bet, I’ll accept whatever it is!”

Camille Rhodes laughed lightly, ”Betting money is no fun. How about this, if you lose, you post on social media, ’Camille Rhodes is a great beauty, and I’m an ugly pig’. The post must be visible to everyone, and you can’t hide it with other posts. Keep it up for half a day...”

Kylie Martinez sneered, ”And if you lose, you’ll post ’Kylie Martinez is the beauty, and I’m the ugly pig’, right?”

Camille Rhodes nodded, ”Okay, it’s a deal. Since the bet is set, you can delete the post at dawn tomorrow, how does that sound?”

Kylie Martinez turned to Wayne Singleton, ”No problem, right?”

Wayne Singleton said solemnly, ”I can’t compete with Carson Flores in a fight, but racing, I am confident.”

Kylie Martinez’s face lit up with a smile, ”If you win, I’ll reward you with a car!”

Wayne Singleton’s eyes brightened, his fighting spirit even stronger.

Camille Rhodes smiled faintly but said nothing.

Carson Flores asked, ”What car will I drive? Your Bentley?”

Kylie Martinez said calmly, ”I’ll get two of the same cars so you can’t complain about the cars if you lose.”

Camille Rhodes chuckled, ”Nice, initiating the bet, providing the cars, and taking the loss all on your own. You’re a good person.”

Kylie Martinez made a phone call, and soon after, two sports sedans of different colors parked by the side of the road. Kylie Martinez stated indifferently, ”These cars are average, but they’ve been modified and the performance is similar. There’s a navigation system in each with detailed road maps. Do you want to each take a lap to get familiar with the route? Let’s make sure neither of us has an unfair advantage. I want you to lose fairly and squarely.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”I’ve already watched the live stream once and got a pretty good understanding of the route. No need, let’s just get started, no point in wasting time.”

Kylie Martinez sneered, ”Fine, but don’t cry if you lose.”

Carson Flores shrugged indifferently, ”If I lose, it’s not me that will be posting ’I’m the ugly pig’. Why would I cry?”

Camille Rhodes punched Carson Flores in exasperation, ”If you lose, I’ll wring your neck!”

Carson Flores was speechless, ”You don’t sound like a rich heiress when you talk like that, more like a street thug...”

Camille Rhodes scolded with a laugh, ”I can’t be too polite with you, or else I’ll be infuriated to death!”

Kylie Martinez watched Camille Rhodes and Carson Flores tease and banter so freely and became a bit puzzled. Could she have been wrong, and Camille Rhodes wasn’t looking to recruit Carson Flores but had actually taken a liking to him?

If it was just about recruiting Carson Flores, then Camille Rhodes was the boss and would naturally not be so affectionate and playful with him. How would she manage him in the future?

If she had taken a liking to Carson Flores... well, he was quite handsome, skilled, and capable. It wasn’t impossible even if he was a security guard.

Forget Camille Rhodes; even she herself was starting to find Carson Flores charming, much more so than Wayne Singleton by her side...
