The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 267: Chapter 267: Ms. Miller, I’m Camille Rhodes_1

Carson Flores didn’t pay any attention to the disoriented Aziel Burgess and continued with the acupuncture, as performing the Resuscitation Technique, Seven Stars Linked Pearls, required intense concentration.

The needles trembled gently, and Kylan Martinez felt as if there were strands of electricity flowing inside his body, giving him a sensation akin to being electrocuted, along with a gradually warming sour and swollen feeling.

After ten minutes, Carson Flores finally stopped, sweat beads covering his forehead.

Remy Johnston watched the scene in awe and asked softly, ”Is it done?”

Carson Flores let out a sigh of relief, removed the Silver Needles from Kylan Martinez’s body, and put them back into the needle box, saying with a smile, ”For the first acupuncture session, this is about it. This illness is difficult to treat; one session of acupuncture won’t be enough. You’ll need to come for two more sessions, and in between, you must take medication and have a daily medicinal bath without interruption.”

Kylan Martinez sat down, his eyes looking at Carson Flores filled with increased respect, ”You’ve worked hard; I see the sweat on your forehead.”

Carson Flores replied with a smile, ”It’s fine.”

After packing up the Silver Needles, Carson Flores turned his head to look at Aziel Burgess who stood petrified beside him, ”Was that not the Resuscitation Technique I used?”

Aziel Burgess’s face turned red instantly, he gritted his teeth, said nothing, and got down on his knees, banging his head on the ground three times towards Carson Flores and called out, ”Master!”

Carson Flores spoke coldly, ”You can leave. I won’t spread word of this. Just remember to be modest in your dealings henceforth.”

With a face flushed with embarrassment, Aziel Burgess replied, ”Yes, thank you for your advice, Master!”

Aziel Burgess stood up, did not greet Kylan Martinez and the others, and quickly left.

Surprised, Remy Johnston chuckled, ”He actually kowtowed and called him ’Master’. I thought he would renege.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”It was just a bet after all. He did say that the bet was about showing the respect of a disciple, not about actually becoming an apprentice to learn skills. After all, he is from the Bai Liu Clan; if he could not even admit defeat in a wager, it would mean that the Bai Liu Clan is completely rotten.”

Kylan Martinez, having dressed, commented, ”Today has been quite an eye-opener for me. At your age, Carson Flores, to have such profound skills and car-driving ability, and your medical skills are so extraordinary, where did you find the time to practice and learn all this?”

Carson Flores responded with a smile, ”You can think of me as a genius. A genius cannot be measured by the standards of ordinary people.”

Laughing, Kylan Martinez said, ”That’s true. There are always a few outstanding individuals in the world, people of great talent and brilliance that inspire admiration.”

Back in the living room, waiting Kylie Martinez came forward, ”Brother, how did it go? Dr. Burgess left hurriedly just now, what happened?”

Kylan Martinez replied with a smile, ”Carson performed the Resuscitation Technique, Burgess fulfilled the bet by kowtowing and calling him ’Master’, and felt too ashamed to stay, so he left.”

Kylie’s beautiful eyes immediately lit up, ”Does that mean your illness can be cured?”

Carson answered, ”In about half a month, you should be able to recover about eighty percent. The remaining will need time to gradually heal. However, from the perspective of conception, eighty percent recovery is wholly sufficient.”

Kylie said with a smile, ”That’s wonderful! Carson, you’ve been a huge help this time!”

Kylan warmly invited Carson Flores and Remy Johnston to stay for dinner. Unable to decline, Carson had to stay.

Meanwhile, that familiar Bentley once again appeared at the gate of the Sixth Pharmaceutical Factory. Camille Rhodes leaned out the window and waved at the security guard Augustus Vasquez, saying with a smile, ”Handsome, is Carson here?”

With a slightly flushed face, Augustus Vasquez replied, ”He’s not, he took leave in the afternoon.”

Camille seemed a bit startled, ”Skipping work during office hours, huh, fickle... Do you know where he went?”

Augustus answered, ”I don’t know; he didn’t say.”

Camille thought for a moment, ”Is Ms. Miller in the company?”

Augustus nodded, ”Ms. Miller is here.”

Camille said with a light laugh, ”Then can you make a call for me? Tell Ms. Miller I want to talk to her about some issues regarding the raw materials the pharmaceutical factory needs lately. My surname is Rhodes.”

Augustus nodded, ”Please wait while I check for you.”

Augustus followed procedure and after getting confirmation, he lifted the barrier, ”Ms. Miller is waiting for you in her office. You can go straight there, and you can park your car over there.”

”Okay, thank you!”

Camille thanked him with a beaming smile and drove the Bentley into the factory.

Camille took out a compact mirror and adjusted her hair, scrutinizing her reflection from side to side until she was satisfied, before finally opening the car door and stepping out.

Entering the office building, she inquired at the front desk and followed the directions to arrive at the CEO’s office.

Shirley Miller sat in her chair, her eyes lighting up as she watched Camille Rhodes enter, and couldn’t help but inwardly exclaim at how beautiful she was, particularly the womanly charm that made Shirley, a woman herself, feel a momentary flutter of the heart.

Shirley Miller stood up and greeted her with a smile, ”Miss Rhodes, hello!”

Camille, looking at Shirley, also brightened up; Shirley’s cool and ethereal demeanor was awe-inspiring.

”Ms. Miller, hello.”

Their fair hands met and in each other’s gaze there was a hint of intrigue.
