Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 95: Chapter 95: An Entry for the National Natural Science Foundation Drops

Director Huo called Jiang Ming, Zhao Jun, and Wu Ting together for a small meeting.

”Alright, I’ll have a word with the old man. My family has some connections at the TV station. First, I’ll try to quash this news story at the source. But I can’t guarantee success. After all, a story about a hospital overcharging is just too sensational.”

Jiang Ming had some connections in Fan City and was prepared to go through official channels.

Director Zhao, standing to the side, added:

”I have a general understanding of what happened today. In my judgment, there’s something wrong with both the reporter and the patient’s family. It’s likely the reporter hired a professional medical agitator. How about this: I’ll have my brother ask around in the underworld.”

”If they really are medical agitators, I guarantee I’ll make him come to the Emergency Department with a silk banner and kowtow to Doctor Ding in apology!”

The National Medical Department at City First Hospital was originally just an auxiliary department, established to meet the requirements for a Grade A Tertiary general hospital. However, no one dared to underestimate this Director Zhao.

Zhao Jun’s background was far from simple. His family was a well-known National Medical Family in Fan City, with a lineage stretching back several hundred years.

The City National Hospital had tried to recruit Director Zhao many times, but Zhao Jun had a calm temperament and didn’t chase fame or fortune. He chose City First Hospital for two reasons: one, it was close to home, and two, the old director of the National Medical Department had treated him with profound kindness and respect. Thus, he had stayed all this time.

If Zhao Jun were to leave City First Hospital, it wouldn’t be long before the National Medical Department followed in the footsteps of the Thoracic Surgery Department.

Zhao Jun’s younger brother, on the other hand, had a completely different personality. He had opened a martial arts school, was wild and unruly, and their family was rich, so he had carved out a place for himself in Fan City’s underworld.

So, this time, upon hearing that a female doctor in the Emergency Department had been bullied so brazenly, Director Zhao had taken the initiative to contact Director Huo.

It was the first time Wu Ting realized Director Zhao had such a side to him.

’This City First Hospital is really full of crouching tigers and hidden dragons!’

”Director Jiang, Director Zhao, I’ve already investigated this matter thoroughly. Feng Yuefang was indeed the one pulling the strings.”

Wu Ting showed the three directors the chat logs and screenshots of various transactions that the bald man had given him.

”I’ve also already contacted Director Cai at the TV station. He promised he would handle this matter with the utmost seriousness and that this news story would not be released to mislead the public.”

Hearing that Wu Ting had already handled the matter discreetly, Jiang Ming, Zhao Jun, and the others were all somewhat surprised.

”You’re a sharp kid. Your methods are swift and decisive.”

Thanks to the previous combined National Medicine and modern medicine Tracheotomy, everyone in the National Medical Department had a very good impression of Wu Ting.

However, Zhao Jun decided to play it safe. ”It’s best that the matter is clear now. Still, we need to teach these medical agitators a lesson and make an example of them.”

”Dr. Wu, send me a photo of this Luo Xiaohu.”

”Doctor Ding can’t be bullied without consequences.”

As a traditional heir of National Medicine, in addition to his miraculous healing skills, Zhao Jun also possessed a chivalrous heart.

As a member of a prominent family, he wasn’t as concerned as an ordinary person about offending people or getting himself into trouble. With the backing of his clan, his motives were, in fact, purer.

Huo Yun, Jiang Ming, and the others tacitly approved of Director Zhao’s idea. Someone had come to bully their Emergency Department, and none of them were the kind of pushovers who would repay malice with virtue. Otherwise, they never would have reached their current positions.

Jiang Ming also patted Wu Ting’s shoulder.

”Dr. Wu, it’s true that we doctors gain some connections and build goodwill through the convenience of our profession. However, you shouldn’t exhaust that goodwill lightly. Now that the nature of this incident has been determined, I will also use my channels to apply pressure.”

To Jiang Ming, his family’s power was all about reciprocating favors, and others were only too eager to foster those connections.

”As for the official channels, this matter should be pushed forward with the full weight of our Emergency Department. Don’t use up your personal favors.”

The three men present were all very protective of Wu Ting and were trying to help him protect his own reputation.

It isn’t easy for a young person to advance, and they would act as his guardians on this journey.

Huo Yun looked at this piece of uncut jade that was Wu Ting and felt very gratified. This incident revealed Wu Ting’s sense of responsibility, his meticulous mind, and his incisive methods.

He was indeed an excellent successor for the department. A mere surgical craftsman wouldn’t be able to thrive.

[Ding! Congratulations to the Host for completing a private meeting with Director Zhao, Director Huo, and Director Jiang, jointly protecting the department’s interests and forging a deep friendship. You have obtained the following entry from Director Zhao: Qi Mechanism Theory of Ascending and Descending (Yellow). The Plain Questions·Great Discussion on Yin-Yang and the Image of Qi states: ”When clear qi is in the lower body, it causes diarrhea with undigested food. When turbid qi is in the upper body, it causes distension... This is the inversion of yin and yang, the adverse course of the disease.”]

[Disordered ascending and descending of zang-fu qi and a chaotic qi mechanism lead to gastrointestinal dysfunction. The Qi Mechanism Theory of Ascending and Descending achieves the goal of regulating the zang-fu organs by smoothing the qi mechanism, harmonizing the stomach, and directing rebellious qi downward.]

[Recommended Synthesis: Qi Mechanism Theory of Ascending and Descending (Yellow) + Cholecystectomy (Yellow) + Laparoscopic Technique (Yellow) = Qi Mechanism Theory-Assisted Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (Purple). A brand-new cholecystectomy surgical technique. By utilizing the National Medicine’s Qi Mechanism Theory of Ascending and Descending and applying electro-acupuncture to the Zusanli, Tiantu, Shanzhong, Zhongwan, Taichong, and Neiguan acupoints until the end of the surgery, it can resolve a patient’s postoperative autonomic nervous system and gastrointestinal dysfunction.]

[Although laparoscopic cholecystectomy has advantages such as being minimally invasive and allowing for rapid postoperative recovery, factors like CO2 pneumoperitoneum, general anesthesia, and intraoperative traction often lead to varying degrees of postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction. This manifests as weakened or absent bowel sounds, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, and delayed first passing of gas and bowel movement. In severe cases, it can even lead to post-cholecystectomy syndrome. This combined technique can completely solve this problem.]

[This combined National Medicine and modern medicine method has the potential to be selected for the National Natural Science Foundation. It possesses immense clinical value and can completely resolve the sequelae of laparoscopic cholecystectomy.]

[Do you wish to synthesize?]

It was a groundbreaking surgical technique in the field of gallbladder surgery. Wu Ting, of course, chose to synthesize it immediately.

A vast amount of information flooded into his mind. This time, the reward was enormous.

Without a doubt, once implemented, this combined surgical technique would become another of Wu Ting’s signature procedures. Its potential and influence would far surpass Wu’s Umbilical Appendectomy.

In the field of gallbladder surgery, a technique with the potential for a National Natural Science Foundation grant would be a bombshell for the development of City First Hospital’s Key Specialty in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgical Diagnosis and Treatment.

This combined National Medicine and modern medicine surgical technique also held profound significance for the integration of the two fields!

’Director Huo mentioned Professor Ma Mengchao is coming to Hangzhou,’ he thought. ’This combined surgical technique of mine is the perfect opportunity!’

Wu Ting planned to develop a research project and a prototype for this surgical technique before Professor Ma Mengchao arrived in Hangzhou for the academic exchange. When the time came, he would submit the first draft of his paper to Professor Ma.

If all went smoothly, he could launch his first project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, which would have a profound impact on his future career.

’Director Zhao is really my lucky star.’

After deciding on their strategy for handling Feng Yuefang’s medical agitation incident, Huo Yun and the others went their separate ways to make the necessary arrangements.

Wu Ting returned to the break room. Next, he just had to wait for the cholecystectomy scheduled by Dr. Qin.

In the early hours of the morning, just as Wu Ting was about to end his shift and go home, the Emergency Department received a call. There was a patient in trouble over in the Funan District, and their family had called 120. The City First Hospital Emergency Department needed to dispatch an ambulance immediately, and Xiao Xixi came to find Wu Ting to serve as the accompanying doctor.

After the rescue of Jia Qingshan and the previous night’s incident with Dr. Ding, Xiao Xixi now had immense trust in Wu Ting.

”Dr. Wu, sorry to trouble you with this. The patient’s situation is critical. Based on what the family said, it might be an acute myocardial infarction!”
