Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Handpicking Wu Ting as a ”Path to Health” Guest

Yao Shi’s self-righteous commentary actually gained him quite a few followers.

His commentary video was reposted by interested parties, and with a boost in traffic, it spread like wildfire.

At City First Hospital, many staff members also saw the online comments. Most who were familiar with Wu Ting were filled with righteous indignation, but of course, some were gloating over his misfortune behind his back.

”Brother Ting, look at this Yao Shi from City Second Hospital. He’s despicable. Does he really have the right to gossip about our hospital?”

Cheng Feng forwarded Yao Shi’s short video to Wu Ting.

After watching it, Wu Ting didn’t seem to mind much.

He was, however, quite interested in Director Yao’s verified profile information:

’This Director Yao’s area of expertise is actually laparoscopic techniques. It seems that after I obtain the laparoscopic domain entry, we’ll inevitably cross paths in the future.’

’It’s just a shame Director Yao only strikes hard online. If he came to give me some earnest advice in person, I might have even been able to acquire the laparoscopic techniques entry.’

Wu Ting felt a slight sense of regret.

However, he didn’t have time to worry about these things now. The priority was to complete Qian Xiong’s diagnosis as quickly as possible.

As Wu Ting walked into the ward, many patients and medical staff cast encouraging glances his way.

Wu Ting calmly continued his rounds as usual.

”Dr. Wu, we support you!”

”Dr. Wu, don’t take those trolls’ words to heart. We patients know in our hearts that you’re a good doctor!”

”Dr. Wu, I’m going to go online and leave a supportive comment for you later.”

Some of Wu Ting’s patients and nurses who had worked with him all offered him encouragement and support.

”Yes, thank you, everyone.”

After Wu Ting finished his rounds, Yasui called him. The results for Qian Xiong’s abdominal paracentesis were out, and he was told to head to the conference room for a meeting immediately.

Wu Ting also notified Deputy Director Huang Hong and Director Lu Xiong.

Fan City TV Station.

Cai Dongbao was looking at a document, his expression calm, without a trace of anger.

Seated beside him were Director Lin and Zhu Zhu, the one responsible for filming and producing the documentary.

”Director Cai, I told you long ago that there were problems with the concept and angle of Zhu Zhu’s film. And look, it’s caused controversy among the public and relevant professionals.”

”Although we’ve certainly gotten enough buzz and traffic this time, this kind of negative impact is ultimately damaging our television station’s reputation.”

Director Lin sighed. ”This matter needs to be addressed. Zhu Zhu was too confident and reckless with her film this time. I think we should issue a formal criticism of Zhu Zhu within the station and suspend her for a period. We can revisit it after the storm blows over.”

Zhu Zhu, however, remained composed, neither servile nor overbearing, and her attitude was clear:

”Director Cai, I’m sorry. I didn’t know things would develop this way. However, Dr. Wu has real, demonstrable skill. All my video footage was captured on-site, with no exaggeration whatsoever.”

”Dr. Wu is an exceptionally talented surgeon with limitless potential.”

”As for the false rumors online, I will pursue legal action.”

Director Lin hadn’t expected Zhu Zhu to be so defiant, and his expression soured.

”Director Cai, look at Zhu Zhu. She hasn’t realized the severity of the situation at all. Even if you and I are willing to believe this Dr. Wu Ting is highly skilled, how are the viewers supposed to know?”

”This Dr. Wu is too young. Plus, his academic background is mediocre, and he has no advanced training experience. How can he win over the public?”

”Surely you don’t think you can make everyone watch, just as you did, how Wu Ting makes a diagnosis, how he treats illnesses, how he performs surgery, how the recovery goes, and how he earns his patients’ gratitude?”

Director Lin raised his voice, looking at Zhu Zhu with some anger.

Director Cai calmly put down the document in his hands and said faintly:

”Director Lin, Zhu Zhu, neither of you is wrong in this matter.”

”And the only way to solve this problem—the way to clear the names of our station, City First Hospital, and Wu Ting himself—is also very simple. We let Wu Ting prove his abilities himself.”

”As the saying goes, ’Let the one who tied the bell be the one to untie it.’”

”We will let every viewer see with their own eyes how Wu Ting makes a diagnosis, how he treats illnesses, how he performs surgery, how the recovery goes, and how he earns his patients’ gratitude!”

Director Cai stood up, the corners of his mouth lifting into a slight smile.

”I will contact Dean Tang and Director Huo of City First Hospital shortly. This time, I will personally select Wu Ting to be a guest on our show, *Path to Health*.”

”You might not know this, but Dr. Wu was my nephew’s attending surgeon. I have personally witnessed Dr. Wu’s capabilities. He’s the real deal!”

Hearing Director Cai’s plan, both Director Lin and Zhu Zhu were in disbelief. However, they quickly realized the brilliance of Director Cai’s move.

’This way, all the online controversy and slander will just serve as fuel for Dr. Wu’s moment to shine!’

Anticipation maxed out, topic buzz maxed out, attention maxed out!

It was a triple-win situation: for the *Path to Health* program and the station, for City First Hospital, and for Wu Ting himself.

Director Lin and Zhu Zhu then realized that Director Cai had been planning this from the very beginning.

’What a sly old fox!’

Emergency Department, City First Hospital.

The abdominal paracentesis results were in.

Huo Yun immediately contacted Director Zheng Duqing from General Surgery, an expert in acute abdominal diseases.

When Song Qi learned the patient was a relative of Dean Tang, his face turned grim. If his insistence had yielded a result, he could have shown off a little in front of Dean Tang and made a good impression.

But now, looking at the paracentesis results, they had come up with nothing.

Song Qi walked into the conference room with a long face. Zheng Duqing, Huo Yun, and Jiang Ming had also gathered in the Emergency Department’s conference room.

Wu Ting and Huang Hong arrived promptly as well. Only Director Lu Xiong was missing; he had other matters and would be a little late.

”I’ll start, then.”

Huo Yun signaled for Song Qi to report the results.

Song Qi’s face flushed, and he announced the results with some embarrassment:

”Director Huo, Director Jiang, Director Zheng, I’m truly ashamed. Based on the abdominal paracentesis results, we still can’t determine the cause of the patient’s illness.”

”So it’s really not an acute abdomen?”

Jiang Ming was also a bit surprised. He took the results and examined them carefully but couldn’t find a cause either.

Jiang Ming then passed the test data to Zheng Duqing and Huo Yun. After reviewing it, the two senior directors were also unable to make a diagnosis.

Zheng Duqing proposed some rare types of acute abdominal conditions, but they were all ruled out one by one.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the consultation room grew heavy. Director Huo, Director Zheng, and Director Jiang were all at a loss.

”Why don’t we try Dr. Wu’s idea?”

Jiang Ming reluctantly suggested the alternative.

Zheng Duqing was puzzled, so Jiang Ming quickly explained.

”A lumbar disc herniation?”

Zheng Duqing hadn’t expected Wu Ting to consider that possibility.

”Alright then, before Director Lu Xiong arrives, let’s schedule an MRI and a lumbar disc CT scan for the patient.”

Just then, a call came in from Dean Tang.

Huo Yun answered the phone, frustrated. Hearing that his cousin’s condition was still undiagnosed, Dean Tang dropped what he was doing and rushed over.

When Dean Tang arrived, his face was dark, and he didn’t say a word. He just joined them in waiting.

Half an hour later, the results of the expedited MRI came back.

Director Lu Xiong also hurried into the conference room.

As an orthopedic specialist, Lu Xiong examined the results carefully. A moment later, his brow relaxed.
