Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

Last time he actually laid a hand on me, Luis realized that he wasn’t afraid of him anymore, but rather he had to find a way to get what he wanted without provoking this so-called big brother.

He found that playing some tricks in secret might be a bit easier. He genuinely couldn’t beat him openly.

”If you don’t speak, no one will consider you dumb. Didn’t you learn your lesson after getting stabbed?” Joshua said coldly, feeling the small woman in his arms stiffen a bit.

What was she upset about? Because Luis mentioned his numerous women?

”Big brother’s teaching is right. I’ll leave first.” The fire in Luis’ heart was almost ready to explode out of his body.

Tonight, he wanted to see him suffer. If his woman got played, would he still be so confident?

He called over a manager to ask, ”Which room is my big brother in today?”

The top floor of the Hughes Family’s club has several thematic rooms for entertainment and enjoyment.

Since the people have been brought, they’d definitely be having fun upstairs. Tonight, let’s swap the leading man.

”Second Young Master, today the Eldest Young Master requested Supreme Room 999.” The manager replied with a bowed smile.

Today was really strange, why was everyone asking about the room Eldest Young Master reserved?

”Give me the spare room key card. Today, we’re celebrating a big deal my brother made, and there’ll be a surprise arranged in the room. Do you understand?” Luis wore a gentle smile, a mask he had worn for over twenty years, but tonight he wasn’t planning on wearing it any longer.

Tonight he planned to formally declare war on him, from the company to women, everything should be his.

”Understood, understood, Second Young Master is very considerate.” The manager quickly fetched the spare room key card and handed it to Luis.

”Later, when you open a bottle of the wine I brought myself, send it up. Don’t say it’s from me, or else big brother will think about returning the favor; so troublesome.” Luis held the black and gold room card, with evil intentions slowly brewing in his heart.

”Eldest Young Master is indeed lucky to have such a considerate brother as Second Young Master.” The manager smiled obsequiously, agreeing repeatedly.

In the private room, Avery Jane watched as time ticked by, her hand reached into the pocket of her coat, the pill bottle was still inside but how could she get him to take it?

When she just arrived, people downstairs gave her the room card and asked if she would wait in the room or join Young Master Hughes for a drink first.

Avery Jane naturally chose to have a drink, as it was more likely to have the opportunity to drug him.

And she had already sent Evelyn into the room to wait. Now, with him holding her so tightly, how could she give him the drug?

Moreover, how long would it take for the drug to take effect? Avery Jane felt nervous and uneasy.

The emotion of this little woman was clearly not right, from the moment she called him today, she seemed different, with her hand slipping into the coat pocket and he pretentiously touched upon discovering its secret.

But what did she want to do? Poison him? Did she really hate him so much? Joshua’s lowered eyes showed no change in emotion.

Old Arthur Yates had met with her recently, but who knows what they discussed?

Ever since the flower incident, he had people secretly watch Avery Jane 24/7, so nothing could be hidden from him, but was today’s anomaly related directly to Arthur Yates?

If he guessed right, could this drug be?

She was indeed bold, dare to do anything?

Hadn’t she learned enough lessons?

This kind of childish trick? If he guessed right, Avery Jane who had the room card must have let someone into the room.

This woman, who does she think he is? If his intelligence and vigilance were only that, he would have perished in such a ruthless business world long ago, let alone achieved today’s proud success.

”Joshua, I think I should leave. With a beauty to accompany you, I seem redundant here. Have fun tonight, I won’t waste your time.”

Alexander King looked at Joshua Hughes, whose eyes showed a hunger to press that woman down, it was unbearable. If others didn’t chase him out, would he really be that oblivious?

”Let me see you out.” He glanced at a glass of red wine on the table, stood up, since she liked to play, she should have the chance to play.

He needed to leave for a short while; that was the only way Avery Jane would have a chance to make a move on him.

Seeing Alexander off, Joshua happened to run into the manager.

”Eldest Young Master, aren’t you going up? Second Young Master said he had a surprise for you, took the spare room card to prepare it.” The manager flattered, speaking just a few more words with Joshua Hughes was an utmost honor.

”Second Young Master also opened a bottle of his own wine to be sent up to you.” The manager nodded like a bobblehead.

”Understood.” Joshua’s heart carried a cold smile; things were getting more interesting. Everyone that should and shouldn’t have come gathered today, so why not let everyone have a bit more fun together?

Arthur Yates’ intentions were blatant, Luis’ greed was nearing madness, and that foolish woman was thrusting herself into a dreadful situation.

Did she not comprehend the consequences of angering him?

Everything converged today.

In Joshua’s deep eyes, sinister intent churned like ink that couldn’t fade away.

He casually instructed a few words, then turned upstairs.

When everything was chaotic beyond control, dealing with chaos by chaos was the best choice...

In the private room, Avery Jane trembled as she dissolved that small pale red pill into the wine, and it slowly disappeared.

Avery Jane looked at the wine, should she just let that man drink it like this?

Just sending him off to find Evelyn made a particular part of her feel very uncomfortable, nauseating maybe, or some other feeling, even she couldn’t make it out.

The door was pushed open again, and that king-like man stood at the entrance, his eyes like flowing light gazing at her.

”Avery Jane, what are you thinking?”

He approached, his robust and tall body sat down, leisurely leaning on the chair back, playing with her hair.

The crystal wine glass on the table glistened with a bewitching red glow under the light, his hawk-like sharp eyes fell on her face, watching her with interest, though casual, yet it transmitted a suffocating coldness.

”Do you want to drink?” Avery Jane felt unnatural under his gaze, lifting the wine glass, presenting it to his face.

Doing such a foolish thing after all, Avery Jane, you truly are stupid beyond measure.

Avery Jane felt his gaze was like a sharp sword, piercing straight into her heart, causing her to stiffen involuntarily.

Her hands looked extraordinarily beautiful under the dim light.

His sensual lips slightly parted: ”Red delicate hands, yellow sweet wine...”

His low voice echoed in the quiet private room, Joshua took the wine glass from her jade-like hands.

”No, let’s change a glass.” Avery Jane didn’t know why she blurted out, nervously grabbing his large hand.

She didn’t want him to drink it, this strange thought suddenly rushed from her heart, driving her to act upon it.
