Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

But this wonderful morning was ruined just like that.

Damn it, what is that woman here for today?

He splashed some cold water on his face, calming the surge of desire. He pulled on his pants, wearing a gray loungewear, walked to the bedside, and looked at her flushed face, the lingering sense of satisfaction. He truly wished to entwine with her on this bed until his dying day.

With a dark gaze, he patted her rounded backside: ”Wait for me.”

His voice was thick with a devouring desire.

I’d have to be out of my mind to wait for you.

Avery Jane silently responded in her heart.

But she dared not say anything aloud, only pulled higher the quilt, burying her entire self into the soft covers.

Her figure was so small that when she pulled up the quilt, it seemed as if she disappeared entirely from the bed.

In the living room below, a middle-aged beauty was already seated, clad in a sharp black dress, a vibrant jade brooch pinned on her chest, her hair elegantly coiled up with grace.

”Madam Hughes, should I call you mother? Or aunt?”

Joshua Hughes slowly descended from upstairs, his voice indifferent, as if speaking with a stranger.

”Joshua, must you speak to me like that?”

Madam Hughes felt extremely uncomfortable at the sight of Joshua’s demeanor.

Why is it that some sons are so considerate, while others treat her like an enemy?

”Mommy, he’s just joking with you.” The man sitting beside Madam Hughes gently patted the shoulder of the middle-aged beauty, comforting her.

”Luis Hughes, I’ve already told you that you’re not welcome here. Did you not understand that?”

Joshua’s eyes were cold as he looked at the man before him, who bore some resemblance to him yet was different.

The blood that flowed between them was more than half the same, yet not entirely.

Isn’t blood a strange thing?

”Brother, I came with Mommy, and after all, this is still a place of the Hughes Family.”

Luis Hughes wore a faint smile, looking at Joshua, the formal heir from childhood.

”You’re mistaken, this is my father’s place, and now I’d like you to leave.” Joshua’s voice gradually turned icy, making one feel like their limbs were frozen.

Luis couldn’t understand why, when he was just six years old, Joshua was already the destined heir to the Hughes family. It was the same year he was also born, wasn’t it?

Two children shared the Hughes surname, so why was it him?

”Doesn’t Uncle have the Hughes surname?” Luis’s words intensified the hostility in Joshua’s eyes.

Madam Hughes quickly pulled her younger son back, speaking softly: ”Luis, don’t speak recklessly.”

”Mommy, even if the Hughes Family is currently controlled by my brother, I also hold enough shares. This is a Hughes Family property, and I have every right to be here.” Luis was not afraid of Joshua’s gaze at all, he had made his intentions clear, he had been waiting for this day for a long time.

”You should be well aware of what money was used to build this place. It has nothing to do with the Hughes family’s property. I hope this is the last time I have to say this, it is my father’s property, and it has nothing to do with the Hughes Family.” Joshua’s tone was chilling, as if it emanated from a place that had never seen the light of day, lowering the temperature of the entire warm Imperial Garden by several degrees.

”Brother, if it wasn’t for the Hughes family’s careful nurturing, how would Uncle have won prestigious academic awards at such a young age and become a professor? No matter how excellent he was, all of these genes came from the Hughes’ inheritance; even you can’t deny that. This garden was supposedly built with all of Uncle’s manuscript fees and awards, and I admire him for that, but in the end, if he wasn’t from the Hughes Family, if he wasn’t named Lorenzo Hughes, perhaps none of those awards would have come to him, right?” Luis frankly expressed his thought.

Over the past two years, he had gathered some dissatisfied shareholders against Joshua, and now he was well-equipped, so there was nothing to fear.

As a descendant of the Hughes, he did not believe he was any lesser compared to Joshua.

The Hughes’ castle, and the women in the castle, all should have been his.

Joshua has enjoyed all this glory for so many years; now it’s time for a change.

The Hughes Family indeed has great genes, but unfortunately, how come you didn’t inherit a bit more? For instance, intelligence?”
