Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

Joshua Hughes slowly stood up, walked to Luis Hughes, and somehow a sharp knife as thin as a paper appeared in his hand like magic. He moved so quickly that it almost left no time to react, with a flash of cold light and then a scream.

Luis Hughes couldn’t believe Joshua Hughes would actually attack him. All these years, though full of cold words, he realized for the first time he truly dared to act.

Covering his face with one hand, he pointed at Joshua Hughes with the other, resentfully saying, ”You really dared to strike, you lunatic.”

Blood droplets slowly oozed from his cheek. The knife was sharp, and as it cut, the wound was deep, yet it didn’t gush with blood immediately, but slowly, the seemingly insignificant cut began to bleed endlessly.

”Take him away, never allow him to step into the Imperial Garden again. You raised me for six years, and I’ve already repaid the debt of gratitude with my eyes and my brother’s life half a year ago. From now on, we owe each other nothing.” Joshua turned and walked to the stairs, not wanting to look at these people anymore.

Seeing them urgently reminded him that half of his bloodline came from this woman, and how cheap she was, unable to endure loneliness.

And Luis Hughes was precisely the vile product of this woman.

:”Joshua, he is your brother! Even if you dislike him, he’s still your brother. How can you strike him?” Madam Hughes rushed to the stairway, heartbroken and shouting, losing all the graceful and untouchable demeanor of just a moment ago.

”Madam Hughes, you seem to have forgotten; he was the one who struck first. His words are more frightening than my knife, and he is not my brother. My father fathered only one son.”

Joshua Hughes stopped but did not turn around, a hint of a sneer on his lips.

”Joshua, perhaps Luis spoke a bit too aggressively today, but my real reason for coming was to tell you, you cannot disregard the Hughes Family rules. You don’t live in Hughes Castle, and you ignore the people you chose yourself. This is against the rules. Even if your uncle remains silent, others won’t be pleased with this scenario. It would be disadvantageous to you, Joshua, I’m only worried about you,” Joshua’s mother hurriedly said.

This son always had his own ideas since childhood, unmoved by anyone, unwilling to listen.

But now, rumors from the outside have infiltrated the Hughes Family’s inner circle, which is very unfavorable for him. She was only anxious for him.

This child was just like his father, having inherited his father’s best traits, like intelligence and a photographic memory, but not his father’s kindness. He was cold-blooded like a snake, without any warmth.

”What does he have to say? What right does he have to speak? I don’t care about Hughes Castle at all. Whoever wants to live there can live there. If this highest leader of the Hughes Clan covets something, he can try to take it, but can he take it?” With that, turned his head, looking coldly at the bloodied Luis Hughes.

This so-called brother, the blood on his face was truly an eyesore, looking terribly ugly in its redness.

”Nanny Collins, see them out, and never let anyone in again, especially anyone named Hughes.”

Joshua’s voice was indifferent; these two people were technically the closest to him, yet they only caused disgust and irritation, like looking at carrion crawling with maggots, even tainting the originally fresh and elegant aroma of the Imperial Garden with a faint blood scent making it turbid.

The old woman, hidden in the shadows, came out, expressionless. At Joshua’s words, she showed no politeness either: ”Please, you two, leave now. Do not make things difficult for this old woman in the future.”

Luis Hughes looked hatefully as Joshua turned and walked away.

Even if the Imperial Garden has nothing to do with the Hughes Family, one day, I will turn it into mine. Everything you have will belong to me.

Avery Jane changed her clothes, casually tied her long hair into a bun at the back, put on her shoes, and tried to sneak outside.

The moment she opened the door, she bumped into the man coming up from downstairs, handsome yet with a chillingly cold expression.

His mood seemed exceptionally bad.

:”Avery Jane, even you refuse to listen obediently?” His voice was light, cold, making Avery Jane feel like tiny shards of thin ice falling upon her bare skin.

She shivered from head to toe, then forced a calm smile.
