Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

”You’re really enjoying this, huh?” A man’s deep and hoarse voice rose above her head. Avery Jane jerked her head up, meeting those dark eyes, deeper than tonight’s darkness, darker than ink.

Joshua Hughes watched her shrink back like a startled little animal, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly, carrying a smile that was hard to understand.

Long fingers unbuttoned the shirt, one, two, elegantly undoing all the shirt buttons, revealing firm, sexy pectoral muscles that shimmered with a healthy, tempting tan.

She was still afraid of him, even though she now belonged to him, the inner resistance and fear had never diminished.

Avery Jane could not pretend not to understand his intentions. To this man, she seemed like a new toy, just acquired, always wanting to be played with endlessly, but she really did not have the energy to keep up with him.

Her petite body shrank back a bit, trying to get up, and she gave an awkward smile, ”I’m done with the bath, I’ll head up now.”

Her voice carried a slight tremor, but it was submissive because she knew she really couldn’t have a strong attitude with this man, or she’d only end up at a disadvantage.

Now she just wanted to stay until he got bored, then she’d be free.

”Stay with me...”

Joshua Hughes said softly, yet without room for rebuttal.

This woman had no sense at all, wanting to escape even now.

If he considered her behavior as someone shy of their first intimate encounter, it might be fine, but if he thought she still had another man on her mind, rejecting him, it would put him in a terribly bad mood.

He didn’t want to dwell on why he cared; he just wanted to act according to his wishes.

The large hand caught her slender ankle underwater and suddenly pulled, and Avery Jane fell entirely into the water.

This man is truly insane; is he trying to kill me?

Warm water filled her mouth, carrying a faint salty taste.

Avery Jane struggled to stand, but was held down by a large hand, and as her face emerged above the water, gasping for breath, his lips pressed against hers precisely, passionately tangling with her lips and tongue...

The overwhelming masculine scent hit, hotter than this spring water.

”Are you trying to murder me?”

When he let go of her with a smug smile, Avery Jane gasped for air, glaring at Joshua Hughes; she was truly scared by him just now.

Holding her tender body tightly, the man’s intentions were clear as day.

Avery Jane then remembered the charity gala tomorrow. She needed to wear evening wear. If this man left marks all over her, that would be a disaster.

But this man was also too forceful to refuse.

Avery Jane wondered how to keep him from getting too forward, not going overboard?

Warm lips printed on her bare shoulder, Avery Jane trembled as she spoke, ”Can we not do this tonight? I have an audition tomorrow, too many marks would be inconvenient.”

She wasn’t a fool; how could she tell Joshua Hughes she was attending a gala tomorrow? Though there really was an audition tomorrow, wasn’t she kind of not lying to Joshua?

”Kissing here shouldn’t be an issue, right?” Joshua’s voice turned low and hoarse as he spoke slowly.

Her demure and obedient request pleased him, making him not want to trouble her anymore.

A tingling pain mixed with an indescribable numbness rippled like water waves.

There’s a saying in a book that once a woman opens the door to desire, she cannot refuse sex anymore.

In the confusion, Avery Jane wondered if she was the same, her will resisting his approach, but her body betraying her, instinctively responding, her body temperature slowly rising, feeling hotter than this spring water.

The night grew hot and long...

Joshua Hughes said today he wouldn’t return to the ”Imperial Garden,” so she didn’t tell him she was attending an event tonight.

Because this was her work, and she had already clearly told him that he couldn’t interfere with her work and normal life, so saying more was pointless.

When she arrived at the ”M.C Headquarters,” Angela Scott was already there waiting for her.

Angela Scott had always been a smart person, so she didn’t ask Avery Jane why she was late, and now no one dared to question Avery Jane, right?
