Chapter 432: Chapter 432: I Have a Plan to Save Fire Seed

Xu Zengshan: ”I thought that with Long Wu successfully capturing Qin Qing, Ye Xiu would no longer be a threat. That’s why I told the Clan Leader about Ye Liangchen. Hehe, I hope you won’t blame me.”

Long Xiaoyun: ”Shameless!”

Du Long: ”Ye Liangchen is the Vice-Chairman of Fire Seed Company. Even though I’m a member of the Long Family Alliance, the Clan Leader can’t just brazenly poach my men. I won’t agree to Ye Liangchen going to the Long Family Headquarters.”

No, don’t! I’m willing to go... Ye Xiu panicked.

Seeing Du Long put his phone away and leave the group chat, Ye Xiu also put his phone away and said, ”You shouldn’t damage your relationship with the Long Family for my sake. Since the Clan Leader wants me at the Long Family Headquarters, I’ll go.”

”I won’t let you go.”

Panting with rage, Du Long asked, ”Ye Liangchen, give me a straight answer. If the Clan Leader insists on poaching you, will you defect to the Long Family?”

”I have my own principles. As an employee of Fire Seed Company, no one can poach me unless I decide to quit myself or you fire me,” Ye Xiu declared with an air of heroic righteousness.

”Haha, well said! I knew I didn’t misjudge you. Come on, let’s have a drink.” Overjoyed, Du Long raised his glass to Ye Xiu.

”Cheers!” Ye Xiu raised his glass.

The two downed their drinks in one gulp.

Ye Xiu probed, ”There’s something I’m not sure if I should ask.”

”Don’t talk like that. We’re on the same side here. Ask whatever is on your mind,” Du Long said with the air of an elder.

”The Long Family wants to kill Ye Xiu because he seeks revenge against them. What does Fire Seed Company gain from helping the Long Family deal with him? Was our company also involved in framing Ye Xiu ten years ago?” Ye Xiu asked.

”No. Back when the Long Family framed Ye Xiu, I didn’t even know the Clan Leader. Oh, the Clan Leader is the head of the Long Family,” Du Long explained.

So Fire Seed Company really is an outsider. Still, the company has committed countless evils, capturing people worldwide for experiments. It truly deserves to be wiped out! But before that, I need to sow discord between Du Long and the Long Family.

He said, ”I have another question.”

”Ask away,” Du Long said with a wave of his hand.

”The Long Family listed in the Life and Death Records of Huang Quan, is that Long Xiaoyun’s family?” Ye Xiu asked.

This question made Du Long’s eyes sharpen, and he sobered up instantly. He gave Ye Xiu a deep look and said, ”The Guoyang Long Family is just one branch. In fact, the Xu Family is also a branch. The ’Long Family’ in the Life and Death Records of Huang Quan refers to the entire family, not just the Guoyang branch.”

This was a secret of the Long Family Alliance, but Du Long revealed it to win over Ye Liangchen.

Ye Xiu feigned surprise. ”Doesn’t that mean the Long Family is incredibly powerful?”

”Incredibly powerful!” Du Long nodded.

”Between the Long Family and Huang Quan, who is stronger?” Ye Xiu continued to probe.

Du Long scoffed, ”Of course, Huang Quan is stronger. Compared to Huang Quan, the Long Family is nothing.”

”Then why are you risking your life to help the Long Family fight Ye Xiu and Huang Quan?” Ye Xiu asked.

Sighing, Du Long downed another glass of wine before saying, ”Ye Liangchen, since you consider me one of your own, there’s nothing for me to hide. The truth is, the Long Family isn’t just one family; it’s an alliance. I’m a member of the Long Family Alliance. If I don’t help them, the Clan Leader will rally the other alliance members to destroy me and Fire Seed Company.”

”I can’t agree with that. Let me offer my analysis.” Ye Xiu’s persuasive side kicked in. ”The Clan Leader is hiding in the shadows while pushing Fire Seed Company, the Guoyang Long Family, and the Xu Family into the open. This will undoubtedly attract Huang Quan’s attention. He’s using you as cannon fodder.”

Du Long’s pupils contracted in shock. He had never considered this point before.

Ye Xiu continued, ”If you don’t help the Long Family, you’ll be destroyed by them and the alliance members. If you do help them, you and Fire Seed Company will be eliminated by Huang Quan. Whether you help or not, you and your company cannot escape annihilation. Think about it. Think about it carefully!”

Du Long’s expression suddenly turned ghastly. In that moment, he felt as if two butcher’s knives were suspended over his head. One belonged to Huang Quan, the other to the Clan Leader. If he advanced, Huang Quan’s knife would fall. If he retreated, the Clan Leader’s knife would fall. He was caught between a rock and a hard place, a situation of certain death!

”I have a plan that can save Fire Seed!” Ye Xiu declared.

Du Long’s eyes lit up. ”Quick, tell me.”

”You can lead Fire Seed Company to help Huang Quan against the Long Family,” Ye Xiu suggested.

Hearing this, Du Long’s expression became constipated. ”I’d love to side with Huang Quan, but they’d look down on me. Besides, I don’t even know where Huang Quan is. How could I join them?”

”Make a public, worldwide announcement that Fire Seed Company is withdrawing from the Long Family Alliance. Guarantee your full support to Huang Quan in eliminating the Long Family. Even if Huang Quan looks down on you, they’ll appreciate the gesture,” Ye Xiu goaded him.

Du Long didn’t respond immediately. He lowered his head, drinking glass after glass as his mind raced, pondering Ye Xiu’s words. After thinking it over, he concluded that while Ye Liangchen’s plan wasn’t great, it was still better than helping the Long Family fight Ye Xiu and Huang Quan.

”Damn it, let’s do it,” Du Long clenched his teeth, deciding to go for broke.

”Then contact all of Fire Seed Company’s global branches now and spread the news overnight. Also, we’ll lead our men to the Xu Family tonight and slaughter Long Xiaoyun and Xu Zengshan. That will be our token of loyalty to Huang Quan,” Ye Xiu urged, knowing that once Du Long took this step, there would be no turning back. He would be forced onto a path of opposition against the Long Family.

”Fine. I’ll contact the headquarters and branch managers. You contact all the test subjects!” Du Long immediately took out his phone and began making one call after another.

Meanwhile, Ye Xiu contacted the 1,285 test subjects of Fire Seed Company. While plotting to eliminate Dong Tianming, he had created a separate private chat group for them, since the original Fire Seed elite group included Long Xiaoyun, Xu Zengshan, and Du Long.

「The Xu Family」

Du Long’s two brothers, Du Hu and Du Hang, both of whom had surpassed the War God level, were chatting in their bedroom.

Suddenly, they both received a text message from Du Long: ”Ye Liangchen and I are already lying in wait around the Xu Family with all the test subjects. Each of you needs to find a way to kill a Transcendent War God from both the Xu and Long families. Once you do, we will lead all the test subjects to strike immediately.”

After reading the message, Du Hu and Du Hang were baffled, unable to understand what had gotten into Du Long to make him turn on the Long and Xu families.

But then, excitement surged through them. It was better to rebel against the Long Family than to be used as cannon fodder by the Clan Leader. This way, neither Ye Xiu nor Huang Quan would target Fire Seed Company.

”Xu Zengshan, Long Xiaoyun, and the four Transcendent War Gods under their command are in the backyard, drowning their sorrows. Shall we join them for a few drinks?” Du Hang asked with a smile.

”I was thinking the same thing!” Du Hu replied with a cold smirk.

The two went downstairs and headed to the backyard.

When Long Xiaoyun and Xu Zengshan saw them, Xu Zengshan said, ”We invited you for drinks earlier, and you didn’t come. Why are you out here now?”
