Medical and Martial God

Chapter 120: Chapter 120 Master Really Plays Dirty

”You...”

Miyamoto Satoshi raged. There was no way he, the exalted Sang Jing Medicine King, would acknowledge an ordinary Xuanse man as his godfather.

”Kneel and call me Daddy,” Ye Xiu teased.

”Don’t even think about it!” Miyamoto Satoshi said through gritted teeth. ”If you have the guts, go ahead and kill Take Shitamura. I guarantee plenty of Xuanse people will be buried with him.”

He had already thought it through. Once he returned, he would encourage Kuroki Suzu to challenge the experts of the Jin Ye City Ancient Martial Circle and kill a wave of them under the guise of issuing challenges.

”Rest assured, I won’t kill him,” Ye Xiu said with a cold laugh. ”Weren’t you here to challenge the Ghost Doctor? How about this? You two can compete to see who can cure Take Shitamura. Whoever cures him wins.”

After speaking, he fiercely exerted strength with his left hand, sending Take Shitamura flying like a shell into the black Mercedes.

CRASH!

The black Mercedes was totaled! Take Shitamura lost consciousness!

”You... good. Very good. I’ll remember this,” Miyamoto Satoshi pointed at Ye Xiu, his teeth gritted. He cast aside his status, hoisted the half-dead Take Shitamura onto his shoulder, and ran toward Shenghe Hospital.

Shenghe Hospital was the closest one, and he feared Take Shitamura wouldn’t make it to another.

As the crowd watched Miyamoto Satoshi’s retreating figure, a round of enthusiastic applause erupted. Everyone cast admiring glances at Ye Xiu.

Ye Xiu paid them no mind. Instead, he looked for the girl who had been knocked down by the black Mercedes earlier, only to find she was gone. She wasn’t in the crowd either.

That’s strange. With my keen eyesight, I know that at the speed the Mercedes was going, her injuries couldn’t have been light, even if she was just grazed. If she could still move, she should have come to settle the score with Take Shitamura. Why would she leave? This isn’t normal.

”You bastard...”

Just then, a scolding voice sounded. Ye Xiu turned to see the young man who had asked for directions earlier rushing over with his parents, fuming with anger. The new students and their parents, who had been about to disperse, saw more drama unfolding and immediately stopped to watch.

”You liar! The registration for the Ancient Medicine major isn’t over there at all!” the young man said angrily.

”I know it isn’t,” Ye Xiu shrugged.

”Then why did you lie to us?” the young man demanded furiously.

”It was a punishment for the rudeness of you and your parents,” Ye Xiu said solemnly.

”You son of a bitch...” The young man was enraged. He grabbed Ye Xiu by the collar and snarled, ”How dare you mess with me? Do you have any idea who I am? You must have a death wish!”

The young man’s parents made no move to stop him; instead, they looked quite supportive. The surrounding students and parents, however, stared at the young man as if he were an idiot. They had all witnessed Ye Xiu’s formidable strength. For this young man to dare grab his collar—wasn’t he courting death?

There were people in the crowd who knew the young man, but no one warned him. They were actually hoping he’d get a beating.

”Take your filthy hands off me, or you’ll suffer the consequences,” Ye Xiu said coldly.

”I won’t! What are you going to do about it?” the young man huffed. ”You dared to mess with me? Today, I’ll show you the consequences of messing with me!”

With that, he threw a punch at Ye Xiu’s face.

”Stop!”

At that moment, Ma Tengkong squeezed through the crowd and ran over. He slapped the young man across the face and roared, ”You must have the guts of a lion! You dare to hit him? Do you have any idea who he is?”

”Uncle?” The young man looked aggrieved from the slap. His mother asked, ”Tengkong, who is he?”

”He’s Ye Xiu,” Ma Tengkong said. Then, turning to Ye Xiu with a fawning smile, he added, ”Brother, hehe, well... this is Gao Wenshuai. He’s my nephew. Please, do me a favor and let him off the hook this time, hehe...”

Gao Wenshuai was dumbfounded.

His parents were dumbfounded.

The onlooking students and parents were also dumbfounded.

This person... was actually the Divine Doctor, Ye Xiu?

”Ma Tengkong, if I’m not mistaken, you pulled some strings to get Gao Wenshuai into Shenghe Medical Academy, didn’t you?” Ye Xiu asked coldly.

”Ahem...” Ma Tengkong was extremely embarrassed. ”Well, I just saw that the kid, Gao Wenshuai, has a talent for medicine. I couldn’t let that talent go to waste, so I...”

”He is not qualified to be a student at Shenghe Medical Academy,” Ye Xiu stated coldly. ”Furthermore, as of this moment, you are also expelled from Shenghe Medical Academy. If you ever dare to set foot here again, you’ll be beaten to death.”

Having said his piece, he turned and left.

Ma Tengkong was stunned on the spot. He hadn’t expected Ye Xiu to be so furious that he would expel him as well.

It’s over. Once word of this gets out, my career in the medical world is finished. My clinic will probably go out of business.

”Uncle, even if he is Ye Xiu, what right does he have to expel you and me?” Gao Wenshuai protested, unconvinced.

SLAP!

Ma Tengkong slapped Gao Wenshuai again. ”He’s the Ghost Doctor’s master! He’s the one who funded the construction of Shenghe Medical Academy and Shenghe Hospital. Around here, his word is an Imperial Edict!”

Gao Wenshuai and his parents’ hearts sank completely.

Gao Wenshuai had originally planned to just coast through Shenghe Medical Academy and get a diploma. After graduating, hospitals all over the country would be vying for him. Even if he opened his own clinic or hospital, business would boom. But now, on his very first day, before he had even found the registration office, he had offended the Divine Doctor. He could forget about having a future in the medical world.

The onlooking new students and parents, however, were ecstatic.

Just being accepted into Shenghe Medical Academy was a blessing from their ancestors. But they never expected Ye Xiu to be the true powerhouse behind it all—the Ghost Doctor’s master! Didn’t that mean that all students of Shenghe Medical Academy could consider themselves students of Ye Xiu? That would instantly put them on the same generational level as the Ghost Doctor!

「Meanwhile, on the other side!」

Miyamoto Satoshi rushed into Shenghe Hospital carrying Take Shitamura, who was taken directly to the emergency room.

”Well, well, if it isn’t the Sang Jing Medicine King, Miyamoto Blowhard. When did you get here?” the Ghost Doctor asked cheerfully as he ran over, having received the news.

”My name is Miyamoto Satoshi, not Miyamoto Blowhard,” Miyamoto Satoshi said with a frosty expression. ”Ghost Doctor, my man was beaten at Shenghe Medical Academy. Aren’t you going to give me an explanation?”

”What’s the matter? You lost a challenge and now you’re being a sore loser?” the Ghost Doctor retorted.

”You...” Miyamoto Satoshi was at a loss for words. He hadn’t expected the Ghost Doctor to have already heard about Take Shitamura’s challenge.

Just then, a doctor came out of the emergency room. ”Director, the patient’s injuries are too severe. We can’t save him.”

”Useless!” Miyamoto Satoshi scoffed. ”You can’t even treat a few external injuries? The medical skills in Xuanse are as poor as they say.”

The doctor was offended by the comment. ”Oh, listen to Mr. High and Mighty. If you’re so capable, why did you bring him here?”

”Who said I can’t treat him? I’ll go in and treat him right now. I’ll even permit you all to observe so you can witness the true prowess of Sang Jing’s medical skills.”

Miyamoto Satoshi pushed the doctor aside and entered the emergency room.

The Ghost Doctor patted the doctor’s shoulder comfortingly, and they both followed him inside.

When he saw Take Shitamura, who had been beaten into a pulp, the Ghost Doctor sucked in a sharp breath.

Master is truly ruthless.
