Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4990  Back To The Strange Realm

In a strange realm of darkness, a spectral body emerged.

This was none other than Davis.

Davis glanced around with an impassive expression.

His surroundings were shrouded in extreme darkness as though he was lost in the vast expanse of the unending void.

However, this strange space didnʼt fully plunge him into darkness.

He looked to the layered veil in front of him that seemed to be a projection of his vision in the real world. As a spectral body, his mind was absolutely calm, but he could tell that his body and soul were incredibly elated, especially when he saw the scene before him like he was watching television.

He relentlessly thrust into Aila in various positions while being unable to stop licking her body and face like he was a candy addict, still thoroughly engrossed in the process of breeding her.

In the dark space, Davis brought his finger to his lips, still able to feel the lingering taste of her sweet sweat, as well as feeling like a beast.

What was he doing to a poor virgin?

He hoped he wasnʼt too hard on her while still going hard on her, making him cough.

By this time, he could tell that her sweat was an absolute delicacy, secreted in copious amounts to further entrap and charm her partner. He doubted Aila was generating this sweat intentionally since it was her first time, and she, too, had no idea about this mutated physique.

As for the taste, Davis knew in the realm of sweetness, it was nothing short of being called divine. One lick and he couldnʼt have enough, still licking her like she was the most sweetest candy in the world and in the process, became charmed multiple times before he could no longer save himself even with his indomitable Will since he had no resistance against his wife charming him, finally sent to this dark space like when Zenova had nearly succeeded in charming him.

That brings him the question, causing him to narrow his brows.

What was this space truly? Why was there a disconnection between him and his body when he was almost charmed to the point of no return, arriving in what seems to be a safe space, yet not?

He tried to survey again with all his senses but realized that he couldnʼt.

His soul sense couldnʼt extend out, or rather, he knew he wasnʼt a soul body here, so there was no way for him to extend it out. He was like a specter that didnʼt need to exist in this world, but at the same time, was well aware that this wasnʼt a foreign place.

It belonged somewhere in his soul.

This was his instinctual feeling.

This left him with only his vision, but the surroundings were filled with darkness. He didnʼt even know if he was standing or floating.

”Hoho, look whoʼs back here… you got completely charmed again.”

Just before he could start to investigate this space, since he was in the safe confines of his home instead of a jungle haunted by Archons, a raspy voice emerged from the darkness as a dark scroll emerged beside him.

It was none other than Fallen Heaven.

Fallen Heaven appeared to be able to appear with its full artifact body, although he wasnʼt sure, nor was he in the mood to pay attention to such factors, as he felt a surge of anger suddenly.

Davis turned to look at Fallen Heaven, his expression cold.

”We havenʼt settled our scores yet.”

”Youʼre still going on about that?” Fallen Heaven rasped with a light chuckle.

Davisʼs expression darkened as he turned to look at it, ”I havenʼt even started yet, bastard. How dare you escape when I needed you to save Natalya?”

”The heavens-” Fallen Heaven immediately voiced out.

”Fuck the heavens.” Davis sharply waved his hand, ”I donʼt care. Next time, if I decide on something, do it or just leave entirely. At least, Iʼll be able to have better decision-making abilities with you off my trump card list.”

”…”

Fallen Heaven went silent for a few seconds before its voice sounded solemn.

”I didnʼt help you save Natalya. True. But I helped you save your entire family by not responding to your call and staying hidden.”

”I know.” Davis harrumphed, ”Regardless, you are not the one who makes the decision. If youʼre too scared to face the heavens, I wonʼt force you. You can leave. Moreover, I wonʼt die if you leave due to my Everlasting Samsara Tribunal Physique. That much, Iʼm certain, so you donʼt need to worry over my life anymore.”

”…”

He looked at it coldly, causing Fallen Heaven to go silent completely this time.

It hovered in the air, appearing completely unresponsive.

Seeing this, Davis inwardly groaned as he looked away.

He lashed out at Fallen Heaven.

This was why he didnʼt have a conversation with Fallen Heaven after the heavens left the scene right after he made Natalya cross her Heavenly Restriction Pact. He knew he wouldnʼt be able to control his anger.

He had been putting off this matter for quite a long time, but today, Fallen Heaven appeared by itself and even had the nerve to play it off without apologizing, greatly infuriating him.

But in the end, he didnʼt have any intent to punish, take revenge, or even abandon it since he knew Fallen Heaven helped him greatly by just staying hidden.

At that moment, an impulsive action wouldʼve indeed cost dearly. Even if it was a well-thought-out decision to use Fallen Heaven, it still wouldʼve ended up greatly harming himself and his family.

There was no telling what wouldʼve happened like the destruction of a realm he saw in a derailed fate, especially with the Heavenʼs watching; even if it was only a glance, had been extremely dangerous, so by hiding with its infallible concealment, both Fallen Heaven and his family couldʼve been said to have escaped from any severe backlash fate might spew on them or even the heavens actively throwing an entire celestial body out of the universe.

Still, even as he understood all this, Davis found it hard to forgive Fallen Heaven easily, even though he was willing.

However, it wasnʼt its first time dipping when the heavens showed up, so he finally felt like he had had enough.

The heavens already seemed to have marked him after his Desolate Heavenly Tribulation. He didnʼt believe for a single moment that he was still just another Divergent in the universe anymore, so at this point, Fallen Heavenʼs action to not heed his call was nothing short of abandonment in his mind.

Feeling frustrated, he cast a look at it again, his expression churning.

”You donʼt know how I felt helpless and full of anguish when I couldnʼt even see Natalya, and my people were saying that she got hit by a punishment lightning emerging from my tribulation. At that point, did she even exist? Was everyone except me experiencing an illusion? While having such thoughts, I could feel that my world was collapsing…”

He clenched his teeth, trembling as he pointed at it, ”You, my first companion, abandoned me at that helpless moment, plunging me into despair. Iʼm not infallible and especially vulnerable when it comes to my women. You of all people should know. If I hadnʼt been able to steady myself and come up with a method to save Natalya, would you still not have helped me? Would you still be hiding from the heavens?”

”Never!” Fallen Heaven suddenly roared, ”Damn it! I stayed hidden to protect what you care about since thatʼs what you asked of me. Youʼre so complicated, bastard! If you want to fight the heavens, letʼs go right now! Whoʼs hiding? Youʼre hiding! Your entire family is hiding!”

”Even if I want to leave, Iʼll harvest you before I leave! Donʼt look down on me! Iʼm the Grimoire of Fate! Youʼre nothing without me…!”

Fallen Heaven cried out, making Davis dumbfounded as he looked taken aback.

He wasnʼt shocked because Fallen Heaven lashed back at him, but its voice turned clearer like the fog over a mountain dispersed, revealing a lush valley. Its voice turned soft and shrill like a yelling child, but wasnʼt grating to the ears, causing him to blink before he flew over and captured its body- the scroll.

”You-”

The Grimoire of Fate trembled, seemingly losing its ability to move.

Davis frowned, noticing Fallen Heaven was unable to push him away, but he somehow could tell it didnʼt want to push him away. Clenching his teeth, with his fingers pressed against the scrollʼs edges, he made a pulling motion and removed something.

A black-white mote that appeared like a yin-yang circle, yet with a strange spiral in the middle, appeared within his palm, causing his expression to change.

ʼA wisp…!ʼ

The Grimoire of Fate had long given birth to an artifact spirit under the supervision and aid of the World Master, but for the first time, it appeared to have taken shape!
