Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4956  Inviting Zephya

Her skin possessed a delicate green hue, smooth and luminous like jade touched by morning light. Her form was slender and elegant, no taller than Fiora, yet perfectly proportioned like a curvaceous spirit queen, her bosoms huge.

From her back, four transparent wings extended.

They resembled a fusion between butterfly wings and the thin crystalline wings of a dragonfly. Each wing was long and slightly curved, shimmering with layered patterns that looked like frozen wind currents. When they moved, faint streaks of aurora light ranging from red to blue and white rippled through them, creating the illusion that entire streams of wind were traveling across their surface.

The wings fluttered only slightly, yet every movement stirred the air in the room.

Soft breezes circulated around her, carrying a faint whispering sound like distant gales passing through endless skies.

Above her head floated a crown.

It was a physical object, but also the manifestation of her spirit bloodline. Jagged rings of wind energy spiraled around one another, forming a delicate yet terrifying halo. The crown constantly shifted between pale emerald wind currents and faint streaks of crimson annihilative energy.

That was the mark of her mutation.

She opened her eyes, revealing crimson sclera with a pair of sapphire pupils layered on top of them exquisitely. Despite her gentle appearance, the aura surrounding her carried the quiet terror of a wind capable of erasing mountains.

Davisʼs gaze flickered.

He knew Zephya had evolved into an Aurora Stream Gale Spirit of the Heaven-Tier Empyrean Grade Wind Essence Charts, ranked fourth. However, due to the mutation caused by the annihilative heavenly wind, she was even more powerful and terrifying.

Zephyaʼs gaze was on the three of them in an unbridled manner.

”Iʼve arrived at Masterʼs call.”

Her small lips moved, her gaze calm and obedient, while her voice was airy and seductive.

”Come to me.”

Davis gently said, causing Zephya to descend.

Her soft, frail legs lifted up, and her knees landed on Davisʼs chest as she made herself comfortable in a seiza position.

Davis felt good to have a layer of airy gale constantly caressing his skin. He could tell Zephya had made the effort to completely suppress her powers, or it would already be trying to tear him apart.

Davis moved his hand from Fiora and reached out his hand to caress Zephyaʼs head, ruffling her silvery-crimson hair.

”Nice of you to provide annihilative wind energy to me while I dual cultivated with Fiora. It helped my Essence Gathering Cultivation greatly. Did you learn it by yourself?”

”Mhm~”

”My Aurora Stream Gale Spirit Bloodline allows me to make wind into an invisible stream that ignores solid objects. I learned how to do this since master doesnʼt want me, but I still want to help master~”

Zephya softly pouted, causing Davis to smile lightly before he grabbed her knees and pushed her back. She slid back like a window frame but also fell on him, her face inches away from him.

Davis grasped her chin with his fingers, his sapphire eyes maintaining a firm gaze over her sapphire eyes.

”Do you still like me enough to do the deed that Fiora and I do?”

”This…”

Zephya eyed Fiora, who smiled at her. Zephya quickly looked back at Davis, nodding like a rabbit, her cheeks blushing.

”I want to. I donʼt know how it feels like, but I know itʼs pleasurable with the way master Fiora reacts every time…”

”Then, what are you hesitating for?”

Davis pulled her closer, causing Zephya to shudder momentarily before she latched onto his lips. Her excitement and desire grew in an instant as her airy energy began surrounding Davis, pushing Ellia and Fiora away.

They kissed, their lips connecting and their tongues intertwining.

Davis slowed since Zephya was excited and wild, acting like she was going to lose him if she wasnʼt fast.

He was about to guide her when Zephya instinctively blew into his mouth.

”…!”

Davis sat up, moving her away from his face.

He held his mouth with air contained inside when he abruptly coughed.

Blood erupted from his mouth, falling on Zephyaʼs face that turned quickly pale as it lost the soft green hue.

Davis coughed, ”You airhead…are you trying to kill me with that? My lungs almost got torn apart…”

”Sorry… Iʼm sorry…!” Zephya panicked, hurriedly turning small before she flew towards Fiora and hid behind her.

Davis viewed inside his body with his soul sense and saw that his throat and lungs had been punctured in a few places. The invisible annihilative wind blades did its works naturally.

Nonetheless, Davis didnʼt blame her too much.

Having dual cultivation with a spirit wasnʼt funny business. Seven out of ten times, it leads to death if the human didnʼt know what they were doing. After all, a spirit was literally an elemental manifestation. Particularly, sleeping with a fire spirit would sometimes get the human partner badly burnt at the height of the ecstasy. One must have enough power and defense to withstand it.

He quickly healed his injuries with a single wave of his life energy. Its aura didnʼt even appear outside, perfectly concealed by his bodyʼs natural prowess. It wasnʼt even a matter worth any fuss, but when he turned to look at Zephya, she had already disappeared, going back into Fioraʼs soul sea.

Davis chuckled lightly, ”Zephya, Iʼm not mad. You can come out…”

Silence prevailed before Fiora lightly shook her head, ”She says she is sorry many times and pleads with you not to hate her. Please forgive her, my love~”

”I forgive her, so tell her not to be worried.”

Davis nodded at Fiora. He knew Zephya had grown extremely dependent on Fiora after he continuously avoided her, so this kind of indirect conversation was unavoidable. He shouldʼve known it wasnʼt going to change in a single day.

ʼWell, it couldʼve if she wasnʼt overly excited and accidentally blew wind blades into my mouth…ʼ

”Whatʼs the sudden change in inviting Zephya to become your wife?” Ellia curiously asked.

She didnʼt mind him getting any new woman since she wanted to fulfill any type of wish he may have had since childhood. Deep in her heart, she still viewed herself as his one and only personal maid who would fulfill his desires. This was also what got Myria mad in the initial days.

Davis pursed his lips, ”To be honest, without Zephya, my Essence Gathering Cultivation comes to a complete halt, so dual cultivating with her becomes unavoidable in the future if I still want to pursue what I have planned for myself for the past two decades.”

”…”

Ellia and Fiora became speechless.

Their husband finally made the decision to get a woman for the primary purpose of cultivation. They wondered if the skies had flipped today, but then, they understood that he could no longer possess the leisure with the imminent threat from the Celestial Transcendent and other deities.

He needed to become strong as soon as possible.

However, they didnʼt know that there was also another factor involved.

Davis no longer considered himself a person with good morals, as his wives expected him to be, or as he himself held to a standard. He still hid his intimacy with Frostrose from the others, except Evelynn. Still, that alone made him feel guilty as much as he got excited over it. To think the reason he didnʼt tell them wasnʼt that he was scared, but because he wanted to feel excited when meeting with Frostrose alone. This made him feel quite ridiculous, causing him to not care anymore and take a bold step toward Zephya.

But still, the impromptu dual cultivation didnʼt happen.

He imagined that this could be an interference by fate since it didnʼt want him to become powerful, but he wouldnʼt know until he tried again. Regardless, he didnʼt want to force Zephya since she was scared and didnʼt seem like she wanted it now after being splashed by his blood on her face.

He eventually got up and freshened himself with Fiora and Ellia, intending to follow his original plan of consummating his love with Aila. But before he left, he sat in Arcʼs chamber and meditated, viewing how his Essence Gathering Cultivation progressed after the benefits he got from Zenova, Fiora, and Zephya, and wondered if he should absorb desolate heavenly lightning and fire now or later, since it was highly possible that he could explode if the culmination of the three energies failed to integrate properly.
