Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4986  Distractions?

After the perfume pavilion, their next visit was to a silk robe pavilion, where rows of flowing garments made from spirit-infused thread and cloud silk were displayed. Aila was drawn to softer tones, especially light pink and white-red robes that gave off a gentle, fairy-like aura, while Laphria preferred richer shades like crimson and velvet, often teasing Aila into trying slightly bolder styles.

From there, they visited a hair ornament stall, filled with jade pins, lotus-shaped hairpieces, and delicate tassels that chimed faintly when infused with energy. Laphria picked out a few that complemented Ailaʼs hair, while Aila shyly returned the favor with matching accessories.

She even picked a jade hairpin that had a pink lotus on it, matching the Serene Spring Cherry Lotus.

They continued to visit many ships, including entering a jewelry pavilion, browsing bracelets, rings, and necklaces made of low-tier spirit jade and refined crystals. They didnʼt linger too long, but each picked a few simple pieces they liked.

By the end, both of them carried a modest collection of robes, ornaments, and accessories, clearly satisfied.

However, when buying for others, Aila clearly picked luxurious and extravagant items, making Davisʼs wallet run dry like an ocean would experience drought- almost never, since his coffers were endless.

Countless staff and onlookers were envious that he could buy everything for this fairy.

Behind the beauties, Davis and Jaiyan simply followed in silence, occasionally chatting and finally exchanging looks as if to say that this kind of outing was far more exhausting than any battle. However, neither of them complained.

Davis was thankful Laphria was here. Otherwise, he wouldnʼt know how to entertain Aila and would instead take her to an inn if he couldnʼt suppress himself. He was also grateful that at least Aila got to do something feminine when all his wives did was cultivate and look after him, their desire for clothes and jewelry having dwindled greatly.

By this time, it was evening, a few minutes away from nightfall.

Davis and Aila bid farewell as they returned, while Jaiyan and Laphria intended to stay in the city for a few more days.

”Ah- that was fun.” Aila plopped on the bench near the deck of the flying boat, ”Elder sister Laphria is so funny and beautiful. Together, I think we can cause the world to lose its footing~”

Davis let out a silent chuckle as he also sat beside her.

Wherever Aila and Laphria went, the crowd was in a stupor. Numerous Young Masters came to know about them, but they were all thwarted by Jaiyan, who scared them silly as he used his unholy anti-heavenly aura to chase them away.

They couldnʼt even detect the source.

Davis grabbed Ailaʼs hand, ”Since you had fun, donʼt think you will be able to escape the night.”

Ailaʼs heart shook ever so lightly. Her smile became more profound, knowing she teased Davis a lot.

”Alright~ It will be as you say~” She lay on his shoulder and said in a soft, coquettish tone, causing Davisʼs heart to freeze.

ʼThis… did Laphria teach her this…?ʼ

Although Aila spoke in a cheery and melodious tone, she didnʼt intentionally change her voice, but now, she was doing it, making Davisʼs blood rush to his lower body. He barely restrained himself from pouncing then and there.

This woman was too dangerous for the heart and soul, and he didnʼt intentionally put up any resistance to her innate charm, leaving him utterly defenseless to her newly acquired tactics.

”Please treat me well~”

Aila said, her expression full of satisfaction.

Today, she had too much fun and knew the time was coming close. All the baseless fear and inhibitions were out of her system.

Davis raised his other hand and stroked her cheek fondly.

”Hmm, I will.”

To this woman who chose to abandon her family to come with him because he was a Divergent, he was extra sensitive, wanting her to attain joy and satisfaction beyond any experience.

Once he helped her digest the Emperor-Tier Blood Essence safely, he was determined to make her experience the best day of her life.

The atmosphere around them turned silent yet mutually fulfilling.

Soon, they returned to the sanctuary.

Stella greeted them, and he told her to look after Zyren, who was away with the Frostcloud Sword Empress, learning from her as he became her disciple. Tanya was also with them, so he wasnʼt worried, but Tanya can become too focused on sword arts, so he reminded Stella to look after Zyren.

On the other hand, Mingzhi had also entered the apprenticeship of Fairy Qiyra Darkstar, so she was currently learning Twilight Laws from her.

After speaking with Jaiyan about their stay, he was reassured that Zyren and Mingzhi wouldnʼt be leaving. That would make him feel anxious even though they were in safe hands.

After instructing Stella to keep watch, he turned to look at Fairy Wix.

Unexpectedly, Fairy Wix came today, right at the time he wasnʼt here. She looked as though she was about to leave, refusing to look him in the eyes. Stella could only look between them, faintly suspecting something had happened, yet couldnʼt wrap her finger around it.

Did they fight?

Holding Aila, Davis chose to settle their strange relationship sometime else, even though he wanted to confront Fairy Wix.

There were too many distractions today for some reason, causing him to force through and return to Ailaʼs mansion.

At night, the cherry lotus mansion was even more dazzling, making Davis nod in appreciation and heave a sigh of relaxation.

Finally- he was here.

After entering a closed-door cultivation pavilion, Davis stood behind Aila, both of them about to be seated on a pair of cultivation cushions.

However, at this moment, Aila took a deep breath and began untying her sash. Her slender fingers moved to the crimson sash at her waist with deliberate slowness, each small tug pulling the silken knot looser until it finally gave way.

She did not look back at him.

Instead, she kept her gaze lowered toward the cultivation cushions, long pink lashes fluttering ever so lightly while her cheeks were already blooming with fresh heat. The robeʼs outer layer parted first, sliding from her shoulders but she didnʼt let it drift down to her bare feet, barely revealing her undergarment but her dudou was visible.

It was far more daring, translucent layers of pink that clung to every exaggerated curve as though painted on by divine hands. Her back was fully exposed now, a flawless expanse of creamy skin glowing under the pavilionʼs gentle lantern lights.

Lower yet, the scandalously brief undergarment of red silk and golden threads framed the generous flare of her hips, the thin straps biting softly into plush flesh, accentuating her body to appear even more curvaceous- everything about her instantly changed as though she had turned from an innocent rabbit into a man-eating succubus.

Aila finally turned her head just enough for Davis to catch her side profile.

Her lips were parted on a silent exhale, plump and glistening as though she had been biting them in nervous anticipation. Amethyst eyes, usually so bright and playful, had darkened, heavy-lidded with a mixture of shyness and excitement. Her cheeks carried a deeper flush, even spreading to her ears and fair neck.

”…”

The sudden reveal stole Davisʼs breath, nearly causing him to make an audible gulp.

His stunned expression made Aila happier than ever, giving her immense confidence and joy. She tried to hide the overflowing smile as faced forward.

Together, they sat on the cultivation cushion.

Aila allowed him full access to touch her bare skin while she took out the vial, her focus shifting to absorb the Emperor-Tier Blood Essence with his help.

Faintly, two big hands pressed against her back, making Aila hold her breath as an electrifying feeling rushed against her, yet she forcefully strengthened her focus and began to absorb the blood essence.
