Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4983  Improving The Rosy Cotton Rabbitʼs Bloodline

{Added a few sentences to the last chapter. Will remove this reminder tomorrow}

===================

Davis got to work after Aila chose the rabbit she wanted to be her mount moving forward.

First, he unleashed his energy fused from Enigmatic Heart Laws and Life Laws, causing the Rosy Cotton Rabbit to stop struggling and look at Davis with a renewed gaze. Now it found him friendly, as though it had found an incredibly friendly creature in the wild, full of curiosity, the same way it stared at Aila when it had met her.

”Phi~ Phi~”

It squeaked lightly, its cute nose quivering as it attempted to inhale his scent.

Davis slowly lowered it and appeared in front of it to caress its head, relaying his friendly intent.

”…”

Seeing this scene, Aila pouted.

She couldnʼt endure Davis petting someone else when she was there to be petted, her internal thoughts screaming she was the cutest.

After completely reassuring the rabbit that he wasnʼt a threat, Davis put it in a comfortable illusion and began healing its soul. The process was quite quick as he maintained his soul sense at its soul essence through the magical beast core and, without greatly harming it, mended its broken soul.

Within a few minutes, he then used the fusion of Life Laws and Karma Laws, generating energy stemming from Evolution Laws to start the bloodline tier evolution.

His palm pressed lightly against the Rosy Cotton Rabbitʼs chest, right over its calm, illusion-drugged heart.

A faint glow emerged from his palm, turning viridian with a silver glow. It wasnʼt dazzling nor violent but just gentle like a quiet ripple.

Davis unleashed the evolution technique he had gained proficiency in using it on Katherine and studying Everlightʼs runes. Her imprint on his reincarnation wheel helped him more than he expected in comprehending her runes.

Threads of faint purifying life energy seeped out from his palm, weaving into the rabbit. The heart was eclipsed by this energy, and it began pumping out purified blood with each beat. The next beat not only continued growing stronger and louder but also more refined and pure.

This was something that would cause immense pain to the magical beast, but the rabbit was clueless, seemingly drifting in a happy-go-lucky land with Davis and Aila as it played around, feeling safe and vulnerable.

However, its body reacted.

The Rosy Cotton Rabbit trembled, its body stiffening for a moment before continuing to relax, its pupils dilating as warmth flooded its entire existence.

Davisʼs eyes narrowed as he observed the process with his soul sense.

The heart was the key to this bloodline tier evolution, but the magical beast core was the source.

The evolution energy he used was a fusion of life and karma. He was using the property of karma to invoke and make it remember its ancestral bloodline, just like inherited memories and refining the blood, making it purer by the second in order to raise its tier.

He didnʼt know if it would be enough for it to make it enter the Emperor-Tier in one sitting, but King-Tier was a given. After all, he lacked the Azure Orbs of karma and life that a Nine Lives Gracious Fox possessed, although now it even had the time attribute with Everlight having become an Elysian Jadesoul Fox.

He listened and felt the changes with his soul.

Under his refinement, the heart of the Rosy Cotton Rabbit went into overload.

Each pulse carried blood purer than before, washing through its big body like a tide of transformation. The previously ordinary rosy-tinted blood began to deepen in hue.

Aila leaned forward with great interest to see the changes, her eyes shining.

The rabbitʼs fur began to shift first.

What was once soft, simple pink fur now gained a faint luster, as though each strand had been polished. A delicate gradient appeared, transitioning from warm rosy pink to a gentle silvery glow near the tips, giving it an almost dreamlike appearance.

The air around it subtly changed, and a faint fragrance began to spread, sweet and alluring but no longer dull or crude. Instead, it carried a refined charm, one that could influence without being obvious.

”Mm…”

Aila unconsciously took a step closer, her expression softening.

Like Davis, she didnʼt put up any resistance, basking in the changes of the Rosy Cotton Rabbitʼs aura.

Davis noticed but didnʼt comment.

The rabbitʼs ears twitched. They grew slightly longer, more elegant in shape, with faint vein-like patterns appearing beneath the surface, glowing dimly with a soft pink light.

Its body naturally grew bigger. Its limbs became sleeker, more defined. Its claws sharpened just a bit, gaining a translucent quality like polished jade. Its previously simple, rosy pupils deepened into a mesmerizing hue, layers of light forming within them like spiraling petals. A faint glow lingered in its gaze, carrying a subtle hypnotic quality that seemed capable of drawing attention and seducing its opponents even more firmer than before.

”Phi…”

It looked down at itself, tilting its head.

Its eyes held confusion and curiosity, and then it looked up at Davis again.

But this time, its gaze was no longer that of a simple creature.

There was awareness.

Not intelligence in the human sense, but a heightened clarity, as though it had awakened from a state of living its life without any worry in the world, becoming self-aware.

ʼIt broke my illusion… no- my evolution energy broke the illusion since its soul also needs to adapt to the King-Tier Bloodline thatʼs encompassing its body and nurturing the core….ʼ

”PhiiiI!~”

Abruptly, it screamed in pain from having its heart refined, so Davis put it in an illusion again.

The rabbit twitched before its dreamy eyes filled with pain relaxed again.

Aila was startled, her expression turning worried for the rabbit.

She didnʼt know how this technique worked, but she imagined it wouldnʼt be any easy for both parties as he was making the impossible possible. After all, a magical beast would need a suitable resource that accommodates its coreʼs improvement in order to be able to obtain a greater bloodline purity and become a higher-tier beast, but Davis was seemingly doing it out of nothing except his energy.

She felt this must be similar to a technique that was squeezing out all potential, but whether it would leave them disabled or not after that wasnʼt something that she could tell, but she believed it wasnʼt the case since Davis wouldnʼt use this technique if it was the case without informing her.

She could only wait silently and faithfully, having full trust in him, yet the squeaks of the poor rabbit, as though it had a nightmare was unbearable.

*Gasp~*

Aila suddenly gasped as she saw the Rosy Cotton Rabbitʼs fur change again.

A deep resonant bloodline aura emerged, shaking her own despite her being an Empyrean.

Aila could see the silvery sheen on the Rosy Cotton Rabbitʼs fur intensify, merging with the rosy hue to form a radiant blend that carried a mesmerizing undertone. The fur brightened further, and it now appeared nearly luminous, each strand reflecting light like silk. Silver runes began to form along its body, flowing naturally with the direction of its fur, barely visible under its radiant sheen.

However, Davis possessed an odd expression, and Ailaʼs cheeks flushed red, both of them having the same thought.

The Rosy Cotton Rabbitʼs fragrance thickened. It wasnʼt overwhelming, nor could it overwhelm them, considering they were way more powerful, but the scent was irresistibly pleasant, making them nearly drool as they wanted to have a try at eating it.

They had heard the reputation of its sweet flesh, so how would an Emperor-Tier Rosy Cotton Rabbitʼs flesh taste like? Would it practically melt in their mouth?

Aila shook her head, gulping hard with a horrified expression on her face.

She rubbed her bosoms, ʼSuppress… suppress…ʼ

On the other hand, Davis was wondering if the Rosy Cotton Rabbit was releasing its scent in order to defend instinctively, since it was essentially in immense pain. He guessed the purpose of this sudden increase of charm in the atmosphere was to attract its foes and then charm them. He felt this scent alone was enough to charm many opponents at the same level.

Even supreme genius Immortal Emperors might not even stand a chance against this beast, especially men.

It was too dangerous.

By the time they neared it, they might not even discover that they had been devoured by this rabbit, becoming its food.

ʼAs expected of an Emperor-Tier Beast… even if itʼs a dumb and mostly harmless Rosy Cotton Rabbit, its potential to cause destruction is extremely great once they become a ruler of their race… I wonder what kind of species technique it possesses…ʼ

Davis was full of interest while still pouring evolution energy to stabilize its bloodline tier and strengthen its purity.

This continued only for a few more minutes; the power of his evolution energy was extremely powerful and intricate enough to accommodate the change of an ordinary Level Two Immortal Emperor Beast into Emperor-Tier without breaking a sweat.

He felt like he could make a hundred more of these in one sitting, but wasnʼt obviously going to play with fate.
