Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4093  Regress to Progress?

”…”

Myria narrowed her brows as she watched his face appear funny. Considering how Davis was ruthlessly imaginative in his ideas, she didnʼt get a good feeling about this matter. He looked at self-harm as though it was just another way of cultivation.

She had also followed him in coming up with a few ideas like that- one being to allow Andiron to evolve into a Variant Grand Saint Magical Beast.

So she wasnʼt necessarily excited to hear about his ideas, only feeling some worry. However, she had to know in case he had some terrifying idea that made him or the others suffer so much so she could mitigate the suffering. More than that, she also wanted to be a part of whatever sinful deeds he was doing, sharing the burden with him.

”What are you up to?”

”Well,” Davis started with a low voice, spewing flirting words, but in soul transmission, he said something else.

”Since Everlight can allow people to undergo a minor rebirth, I thought it would be extremely useful for our cultivation. With the way the Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Scripture is progressing, going from life and death to reincarnation and vice versa, I suspect for the soul to enter the Empyrean Stage requires us to undergo one or more rebirths, so why donʼt we include Everlightʼs regression technique in the reincarnation section of the manual?”

Myriaʼs expression didnʼt change, ”Do you want to re-”

”No, not reincarnation.” Davis shook his head, ”Iʼll still be in this flesh but regress to so much into being a baby or even a cell. Then, with my reincarnation physique, I will allow my body to be rebuilt with all the cultivation I have already. I know this because I have died to Autarch Elluro Coldwing but was reborn again with all my cultivation from the source of my soul quintessence. This should constitute as a reincarnation of the body and soul or at least, we can try…”

Davis said, his expression seeking a seniorʼs approval.

All he had was ideas, and he wouldnʼt know until he tried them. They already knew how their Soul Forging Cultivation advanced, so reincarnation was a must. He knew that was why Myria also didnʼt call him a fool for wanting to try it out. It was required.

Myria paused for a moment as though wanting to ask what it was about that he died that he didnʼt tell them before she shook her head and opened her mouth.

”Thereʼs a saying that the Law begets everything, and everything returns to the Law. I compiled the Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Scripture based on this principle. You know this too.”

”Right… so…”

”I already went a thousand rebirths. My soul has already matured enough to enter the Empyrean Stage. Youʼre the only one who needs it.”

”…” Davis went speechless.

Of course, he already knew his path, and Myriaʼs path started to differ because she had two life-and-death physiques while he only had one reincarnation physique. They couldnʼt be polar opposites anymore in terms of cultivation manuals. There needed to be some changes in the manual, so their paths differed.

It was just like how Natalya flipped the Forsaken Yin Lotus Manual with her own findings. It was the same, yet it wasnʼt.

Still, Davis didnʼt want to give up roping Myria in. He didnʼt want to become a baby by himself and be petted by all the women like they petted Everlight. It would be so embarrassing.

”You might need it again when you try to enter the Exalt Stage.” He tried to convince her.

”I donʼt think so.” Myria shook her head.

”Even if it werenʼt for rebirths, I have managed to close the flaw with my Eternal Life Body Physique. Thatʼs the main specialty of the Eternal Life Body. Because of this balance, my physiques wonʼt need me to undergo a full cycle of reincarnation. Do you want to abandon your Body Tempering Cultivation and change?”

Davisʼs expression sank. That would mean abandoning the chaos attribute. What about his plans to include destruction? If he accepted Myriaʼs Eternal Life Body, it would not be possible because the body physique would become another attribute.

”No, I want to keep the Chaotic Genesis Physique and improve it even more with Destruction Laws.”

”Then you do have to undergo rebirths to enter the Empyrean Stage.”

Myria teasingly smiled, ”Your appetite is truly big. You havenʼt even explored the Chaotic Genesis Physique and Grand Chaos Body Art yet but already want to include something more. Fortunately, the Chaotic Genesis Physique hasnʼt advanced much, or you would be hard-pressed to include another attribute in it, much less destruction.”

”Indeed.”

Davis heaved a long sigh.

The Grand Chaos Body Art lacked an Empyrean Grade section. This meant that he couldnʼt advance in his Body Tempering Cultivation either. On one side, he hoped that the Empyrean Grade Section would reveal itself when he reached the Late Immortal Emperor Stage or Level Nine Immortal Emperor Stage. However, he stopped hoping for that since he would have to change the Grand Chaos Body Art anyway.

After all, he would be infusing Destruction Laws into it!

The point was- he didnʼt even know where to start. However, all top-tier laws followed similar law seas since they were closer to the source. Therefore, he could follow that principle and start changing the manual.

Myriaʼs words, ʼThe Law begets everything, and everything returns to the Law,ʼ are also heavily applied to the Grand Chaos Body Art. There was the beginning, so he had to bring the end, the harbinger of destruction.

”Chaos is the beginning of the end, the genesis of all things; from the emergence of space to the conception of time, becoming the progenitor of all lives…”

Davis muttered the first paragraphs of the Grand Chaos Body Art before he began to ponder on the exact opposite.

”Destruction is not the inevitable end, heralding the rebirth of all things; from the collapse of space to the cessation of time, becoming the twilight of the universe… a second wind…”

*Bzzzz!~*

Abruptly, starry skies appeared above Davis.

”Haha, I understand… I understand…!”

Davis jumped before he hurriedly sat down and closed his eyes.

Myriaʼs eyes shot wide, and so did everyone else. They stopped playing with Everlightʼs tails and witnessed the heavenly phenomenon descending in the hall, particularly on Davis.

These starry skies seemed to represent countless constellations. However, these individual stars slowly began to gleam with light and shatter, exploding into countless motes of light. It was very beautiful. After an entire minute, these motes of light then began to disperse, bringing the heavenly phenomenon to an end.

However, Davis glowed with a terrifying dark purple light. The undulations stemming from him made everyoneʼs heart beat faster as they knew he had just comprehended Level One Intent of Destruction Laws.

That Law was something that was on par with Chaos Laws, so they couldnʼt begin to imagine what kind of boon this was for him. It heralded his path to his dreams for his Body Tempering Cultivation.

Davis grinned after he opened his eyes.

He didnʼt shout before because he comprehended Level One Intent of Destruction Laws but knew the first step he should take to fuse destruction with chaos. It was like he now knew the first step of the blueprint and now only required the materials, the Chaos-Destruction Pill!

He turned to look at Myria.

”Donʼt worry. You said I would have a seventy percent chance to die after taking that pill, but after this comprehension, I can confidently say that it wouldʼve significantly decreased.”

”…”

Myriaʼs heart shook. She couldnʼt help but smile, ”Iʼm proud of you. With this, we wonʼt have any misgivings while creating the pill, allowing us to fully focus.”

”Yeah, thereʼs no need to hesitate.”

Davis stood up, stretching his body. He wanted to use destruction energy as he extended a finger but knew not to. After all, his body may know how to produce destruction energy, but as long as it doesnʼt infuse with chaos, itʼs only going to cause a backlash.

A backlash from chaos-destruction will be tyrannical, making his finger explode, so he kept his finger down.

If he had the urge, there was no need to do it in front of his women and worry them.

As expected, the moment he dropped his finger, they smiled, appearing relieved. They could already tell what he was going to do.

”Everlight,” Davis began discussing his idea with her.

Like Myria, she also held a strange expression.

”Will I get to see you as a baby?”

”Perhaps.” Davis coughed ever so lightly, ”Or I will quickly become an adult. It depends on how my reincarnation physique reacts to your regression technique. We could only tell after we do it, but it shouldnʼt be dangerous.”

”Mhm~ What is this you three are secretly talking about?” Isabella came forward and waved her hand.

”Tell us, or else weʼll riot.”

The others also stood behind Isabella, seeking an explanation.

Davis could only wryly laugh, ”It concerns karmic burden, so I canʼt say.”

”Truly?”

Isabella raised one of her brows, causing Davis to step towards her and close the distance. She was startled as he entered her personal space, looking as though he was about to kiss her.

”You-” She instantly went red before lowering her gaze, ”Fine, Iʼll believe you…”

Isabella couldnʼt withstand the teasing gazes pouring all over her from the others. It felt like it had been long since she felt shy, making her instantly give up pursuing this matter.

Davisʼs heart skipped a beat. He had only intended to brush over this matter by coaxing Isabella, but she displayed an innocent reaction, filling his head with other thoughts.

He raised her chin with his hand, making her look at him.

”Where is Mira?”

Isabellaʼs expression appeared to melt, ”She was playing with Katherine and Freya far away from the city. Theyʼre both teaching Katherine how to be strong. However, the only thing theyʼre doing is eating and sleeping…”

”I see.”

Davis blinked before he said, ”What do you think about making her possess chaos energy as an Azure Dragon?”

”…!”

Isabella came out of her reverie and widened her eyes at him, her gaze revealing shock.

”Is that… even possible…?”
