Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4059  Terrifying Lifeform Descends

”Iʼll also go.” Myria held Davis, ”If Nadia is unable to endure the tribulation, I can take care of it. Iʼm still an Immortal King. My cultivation is lower than the average of yours and Nadia, so the retaliatory punitive strikes from the heavens shouldnʼt be much more vindictive than what it would be for Evelynn and Isabella. It would probably be weak since I would be seen as a weak soul trying to help another soul even if Iʼm an Anarchic Divergent who deserves death!”

”…!”

Davis had already calmed, but hearing that even Myria was going to the Nether Dimension and giving unconfirmed explanations that he had no way of verifying this instant, he closed his eyes, his heart sinking.

Myria wasnʼt as powerful as Evelynn or Isabella right now, so it was too dangerous for her to go to the Nether Dimension that was extremely dangerous but if Nadia couldnʼt endure, then only she could possibly interfere and survive without a problem and attract much attention during the tribulation.

He could sense Myria walking towards the portal, but he instantly opened his eyes and bellowed.

”Wait, take this!”

He hurriedly took out a transparent pearl. It floated in front of him.

”Jade Soul Pearl?” Myria raised her brows. She knew it was one of the loot they gained from Heavenʼs Warriors. There were hundreds of them, but it wasnʼt something they needed; it was just a waste of soul essence since these pearls only lasted a month.

Still, the moment Davis took it out, Myria knew what he was going to do. She hurriedly said, ”But our souls coming together without-”

”Canʼt be bothered about that!” Davis ripped apart fifteen percent of his soul force.

His expression grimaced as he practically cut it raw from his soul essence, making his soul throb, but it wasnʼt as bad as cutting thirty percent for the Solitary Soul Avatar. He brought out his soul essence. It glowed with a black-white iridescent light, which he quickly imbued into the Jade Soul Pearl.

It can carry soul essences and is used in many things, including formations that require certain types of soul essence to function.

However, it was only a Peak-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Jade Soul Pearl. It can barely hold his soul and wouldnʼt even last three days before collapsing. If it werenʼt for the limitation, he wouldʼve poured much more soul essence.

He informed Myria of its limitations with a soul transmission and threw it to her.

”Go and come back safe!”

Myria caught the Jade Soul Pearl. It made her bite her lips as this could potentially allow her soul to once again form a temporary Reincarnation Cycle from automatically devouring his soul essence and even possibly attracting the forces of the Reincarnation Dimension. After all, Davisʼs Will wasnʼt in this soul essence to stop the devouring from happening.

She could tell he removed it to safeguard himself from the covenant. It was done quickly as they didnʼt have the time to check whether even his freshly removed soul essence would constitute him going out. So not only had he ripped his soul essence apart but also eradicated his Will in it without hesitation.

Myria barely caught her breath before she nodded at him and rushed into the portal.

”I swear Iʼll hunt you down if I see you next time, Nether Devil!”

Myria roared, her voice resounding throughout heaven and earth and seething with hatred.

She burned her soul essence and Davisʼs at the same time. He had ruthlessly tore it apart and gave it to her right before she left. It allowed her to temporarily increase her prowess by three levels, bringing her base prowess to nineteen levels higher! At the same time, her soul essence also increased her prowess by one level higher.

Together, they allowed her prowess to reach a massive twenty levels higher! Combined with using her reincarnation energy, it allowed her prowess to temporarily reach the Empyrean Stage, which allowed her to counter the incredible pressure!

With half her energy directed at her speed and half the other energy directed to protect Nadia and the children, she kicked the space behind her one last time.

*Boom!~*

Their figure practically disappeared from the area, and Nyoran barely registered a streak rushing past her before she jumped into the portal. Evelynn and Isabella followed suit.

The portal remained for two whole seconds before closing.

In the third second, the figure of a thousand-meter tall giant black figure appeared in the sky about sixty kilometers away. He was as tall as the trees here, his figure clad in loose robes that were practically no different than a glorified loincloth and skimpy clothes. His skin was nearly pitch-black with purple intonations, and his wings were as vast as his height, almost double the size.

He appeared to have a nearly triangular face with an evil smile. His eyes were blood-red, and three horns adorned his head.

He stopped right there. He didnʼt dare near the eye of the tribulation, but his senses were all over the place where the portal had disappeared. He was in attacking range, but there was no one to attack.

His evil smile slowly turned furious, his razor-sharp teeth clenching and creating world-crushing sounds.

”Damn it!”

He growled towards the ground and extended his hand to the side.

The slithering snake that was already a long distance away, around two hundred kilometers, was caught by its pressure. Its giant, dark hands had seven fingers and a hellish palm that snapped open, devouring everything in front of it.

It applied a huge suction pressure that caused the Mid-Stage Empyrean Serpent to fly back and fall into the Nether Devilʼs hands. The snake shot a poisonous ink at him, filled with nether poison, but the Nether Devil practically ignored it even as it painted his face.

He brought the serpentʼs head towards his mouth and opened it, revealing hundreds of razor-sharp teeth arranged neatly in a row as he bit down.

Blood splashed as the serpentʼs head was severed and its body fell, splashing rivers of blood all over the Nether Devilʼs body and feet.

Nevertheless, the Nether Devil continued munching, displaying utter savagery without a care in the world for some time before finally shuddered. An incredible pressure descended, something above the stage he was in.

The sky was already dark, but this time, it practically went colorless, turning pitch-black.

”Father- beh!”

*Bang!~*

The Nether Devil had just looked up when he received a giant devilish foot to his face.

It sent him flying like a rag doll, with his arms and legs flailing in the air, before he crashed into a giant tree and brought down a lot of trees along with him, creating a huge swath of destruction.

”Useless ingrate. You canʼt even catch one outsider? You lost a prime feast like an Anarchic Divergent! Donʼt you know they might have delicious physiques that help us grow stronger!? Useless! If only I were a bit closer to this place at this time… How unlucky…”

”Father, Iʼm sorry!”

The Nether Devil screamed for his life, quickly sitting up and kowtowing as he smashed his head on the ground multiple times.

Nether energy spread across the lands with each head smash, causing the trees to actually grow ever so lightly.

It was unknown what happened next, but it was clear this place would be guarded for centuries to come in search of a prime feast that may return to the same spot if it had the method. After all, that was one of the ways of how the Nether Devils… hunted outsiders!
