Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4063  Strengthening The Defenses

ʼIndeed… my actions were too rude and abrupt. She must have her own romantic dreams.ʼ

Davis shook his head.

He understood that he didnʼt care enough to make it a special occasion for her. As she said, he didnʼt have a huge amount of affection for her, but he wished she at least understood that he absolutely wouldnʼt let her die anymore. His thoughts had changed from using her for survival to nurturing her after this dangerous episode.

Thatʼs why he had made a move, the fastest way to tell her that he cared about her, but it seemed like it backfired instead.

He knew their next meeting would surely be awkward, but he was ready to face her at any time.

ʼYotan is also a similar case, constantly avoiding me over some conviction…ʼ

Davis inwardly grumbled. He was getting tired of her antics, wishing that he could just pin her down and make her understand that there was no need to prove herself as she proved enough. Anymore was quite unnecessary and only served to strengthen her own conviction that she was helpful to the family.

He supported Yotanʼs wishes and had even given her a position as his twenty-seventh wife, but she still hadnʼt said a word about it.

Davis felt somewhat vexed, thinking that he couldnʼt do anything about it.

Of course, everything couldnʼt be any better for him as he had an understanding harem, but he hadnʼt visited some of his women yet, like Aila. There were only thirty wives as far as he considered, but due to time and place constraints, he rarely had an opportunity to interact with some of them. For the same reason, he couldnʼt visit Yotan to have a better conversation.

Moreover, Wix Voidfield stole a kiss, and so did Vereina. He wondered when he became so cold-hearted enough not to respond in kind. After all, a kiss and endearing emotions were all it took for him to make Sophie his woman. It seemed like the same trick wonʼt work on him again.

From this, he could tell he was fulfilled, and there was no place for love to enter easily for another woman.

But he was in love with Yotan, and she wasnʼt responding to him, wanting to earn the approval that was already given.

He didnʼt know where he should start with her other than to pin her down, but obviously, he knew that she wouldnʼt resist, so it was all the more vexing for him to exchange emotions with her. As it happened with Nyoran, he started worrying she would not be inclined to accept his love if it werenʼt on her own terms.

He wanted her to be happy, but if his hastiness only worsened things, he needed to keep his mouth shut.

ʼThatʼs right. Sometimes, placing positive feelings on others like expectations is also a burden… the same thing could be said about love…ʼ

Davis inwardly convinced himself to wait for Yotan to approach him of her own accord.

This suddenly cleared his mind and let him focus on the next part of securing the mini-realms.

He went back to his brothers and checked on them.

”All went well?” Fenren raised his brows, looking worried.

”Of course,”

Davis proudly explained how his newborns were emperors and an empress.

Fenren gawked, ”No way. All three have emperor-tier blood?”

”Iʼm not lying. Haha, they will definitely rise in age and ranks soon enough and beat your ass.”

”Damn it. Just when I thought my variance would put me above many wolves, you quickly sire three supreme geniuses like itʼs nothing.” Fenren growled.

”Nadia was the one who nurtured them. Donʼt ask me, haha!”

Davis, Fenren, Soaren, and Andiron chattered away and bullshitted how strong their children would be in the future. The three friends didnʼt know what happened with the Nether Dimension, and Davis didnʼt bother to tell them initially either.

No one was aware of the dangerous episode except the ones who appeared in that room to congratulate Nadia and wish her well.

It wasnʼt like he tried to prevent panic, but he felt that it was not necessary to inform the entire realm about it. Only Stella needs to be in the know because if everyone shifted to another space, then they would know that they were truly in danger and could then react as they pleased.

Still, eventually, he had to tell his friends since there was a possibility that they might also sire children and be subjected to an Anarchic Heavenly Tribulation.

Naturally, the three of them were dumbfounded to hear Nadia survived such a ridiculous tribulation and even underwent it in the Nether Dimension. They had heard of it before but not to this degree, coming to know about the nether beings, including the Nether Devils.

The first thing they asked about was Nadiaʼs health, and Davis said that there was no need to worry and everything was taken care of. The rest of their conversation was him bragging that his women were powerful enough to see through it, but he didnʼt wish for them to be at the forefront, and they, the husbands, needed to stand at the helm.

”Dangers lurk everywhere, and our foes only keep appearing one after another as time passes. Thatʼs why I need your power, guys, especially you, Andy.”

”Just tell me what to do.” Andironʼs expression was solemn, ”If itʼs to protect this sanctuary, then I donʼt value my life.”

”Value your life but also protect it as though your loved ones depend on it.”

Davis chuckled, ”I first need you to discuss with Tia and cast a powerful karmic veil here if possible. Then, head to the Third Void Dust Sanctuary and deploy a powerful karmic veil there as well.”

”Consider it done.” Andiron gave his word.

”Fenren and Soaren. I know you guys are all anxious to save your family, but if this place isnʼt safe, nowhere is safe to bring them back, and if there arenʼt enough protectors, everything falls apart, so forgo your desires and cultivate faster. Iʼll also research a way for you to enter Emperor Tier.”

”Got it.” Fenren and Soaren nodded.

After speaking with them, Davis left.

He went to Everlightʼs side, intending to evolve her.

Once he was in her garden, it was a completely different world, with countless auras and aromatic essences flooding his senses. Even his soul was affected every time he stood by one.

There, he collected the first batch of Duality Anarchy-Harmony Vine. There were four of them, so he took one and kept it for Drake. He would need it to become an Anarchic Divergent as well, but he hasnʼt heard from Drake yet.

Nonetheless, he brought three duality vines to the alchemical fairies and investigated their progress.

It seemed like they were anxious they might trigger an Anarchic Pill Tribulation since this was fusing chaos and destruction, so it would be done in the Third Void Dust Sanctuary or somewhere else near there.

He reassured them nothing would go wrong, and they adorably complained that he was taking it easy and leaving the heavy lifting to them.

Davis could only cheer for them as he shamelessly stated that he didnʼt have enough time to learn alchemy at their level. They could only acquiesce and faithfully continue to do their work.

Three days later.

*Whoosh!~*

A group of people suddenly appeared in the Third Void Dust Sanctuary, which was located in the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm.

One of them was Myria. She was here to undergo her Immortal Emperor Tribulation!
