Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4082  Little Arcʼs Strange Body

Davis rushed to the new designated teleportation point that was far away from the city and the main body of the Void Dust Tree. The defenses placed there were also full of grandeur, not limited to the cannons that can one-shot a Level Four Empyrean.

Halfway to the point, Davis stopped as he sensed spatial fluctuations.

Stella, Zephya, Tia, and Fiora appeared from a spatial vortex.

”Hehe~”

Stella daintily took two steps before she displayed a ʼVʼ sign with a bright smile. Her expression couldnʼt be any prouder to have succeeded in her mission to safely bring back Fiora and the others.

Davisʼs gaze flickered.

He rushed towards Fiora and saw her smile faintly. He couldnʼt help but raise her hand and caress her cheek, truly thankful that she was safe. He gazed down and saw the baby. His heart churned.

He could tell that the child was a baby boy. However, the same blonde hair and cute sapphire eyes that were the same as him left him feeling surreal. Even the face was almost similar, and he bet his mother Claire would think that he had turned small.

”He… he is truly Davis junior…”

Davis couldnʼt help but chuckle. Fiora seemed satisfied with his reaction, ”Yes, his name is Arc Davis. You wonʼt blame me for naming him without you by our side, right?”

”Of course not.” Davisʼs expression turned wry, ”I wasnʼt even able to protect you while you underwent your childbirth tribulation. I can only ask you to forgive me, sweetheart.”

At this point, Davis nearly wanted to kill himself. He really hadnʼt gone through any of the childbirth tribulations his wives went through. As the husband, he needed to be there in order to protect the mother and the child. However, he wasnʼt able to be by their side. Even if he had justified reasons, this was something that made him feel deeply ashamed.

Fiora pouted.

They had already talked about this before leaving. She didnʼt want to make him feel guilty. After all, he really couldnʼt come out because of the covenant. Besides, she possessed annihilative heavenly wind energy. Even if she were to face an Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation, she wasnʼt scared. She was powerful.

She revealed, ”I didnʼt go through Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation.”

Davis blinked, ”Oh, was it a Destructive Heavenly Tribulation?”

Fiora smilingly shook her head, ”I faced no tribulation.”

”What!?”

Davis flinched.

”Uee!~ Ueeee!~ʼ

Arc began crying from the disturbance, causing Davis to close his mouth, but it was already too late. Fiora had to soothe him as she held him close and kissed him. The motherʼs voice slowly calmed Arc.

On the other hand, Davis remained dumbfounded.

No Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation? There was none?

How can that be?

He felt as though he was struck by lightning instead of Fiora. After all, this changed his perspective on how Heavenly Laws worked. It made him think the Heavenly Laws werenʼt certainly out to get him and the other Anarchic Divergents, but his personal experience said otherwise.

His expression turned complicated.

”Does Arc have a unique physique?”

”…”

Fiora shuddered ever so lightly. She bit her lips, ”He is… our child is ordinary…”

”How can that be?”

Davis looked amused. He injected his soul sense into Arc and found out that he really didnʼt have anything special, unlike the others. No bloodline, nothing. It was fine that he didnʼt have an iota of blood that had a hint of carrying wind attribute since it wasnʼt like Fiora possessed a bloodline of her own, but not even a globule of chaotic blood essence could be found.

Davis possessed the Chaotic Genesis Body Physique, so his descendants should also possess similar blood, even if itʼs extremely minute, but he couldnʼt sense something of that nature.

Taking a step back, he knew he had impregnated Fiora way before he created the Chaotic Genesis Body Physique, but it didnʼt discard the fact that he completely cleaned his blood by using Chaos Essence Orb to temper his body.

That cleared all his other bloodlines, leaving him with a special type of blood. It made his body extremely powerful, and naturally, most of his children also inherited this blood. Although it was in minor amounts, they had strong bodies.

However, Arc lacked such blood.

His expression slowly turned odd as he once again checked. However, he really couldnʼt find anything special. It was like he was a normal human being devoid of any bloodlines. Of course, his meridians seem to be intact, so he wasnʼt born a cripple. There were also three factors that determined his talent: Spirit Root, Spirit Blood, or Spirit Essence. They were present. However, there was nothing special about them.

He was powerful enough to sense that uniqueness with his own soul sense.

Fioraʼs heart sank as she saw his expression, feeling like she let him down, ”Iʼm sorry…”

”I desired you despite you being my sisterʼs husband. I know I have committed a grave sin, so this must be my retribution, but I donʼt care. I will love our son with all my heart~”

”…”

Davis blinked. He couldnʼt help but smile, ”Do you think I, who began his journey from being a mortal, care for something like talent? If thereʼs none, weʼll just make one. If we canʼt make one, then weʼll depend on Arc to come up with a genius cultivation idea for himself. As long as Arc has the intent to strive forward, he wonʼt lag behind others. Letʼs believe in him.”

He reached out his hand and caressed Fioraʼs cheek softly. Tears welled up in her eyes.

To Fiora, Davis couldnʼt even imagine how much those words meant to her.

But Davis knew a few things.

Fiora was usually hard on herself and everyone, not mincing words, so he could tell that she was finally afraid someone would find fault with her ordinary son and insult him, especially him. If he had done that, it wouldʼve broken her heart.

Fortunately, he didnʼt care about talent. To him, that was something changeable, especially with Fallen Heaven in his hands. He couldnʼt begin to count how many fates he had changed.

”Donʼt worry.” He laughed condescendingly, ”Who dares to find fault with our son? I will pluck their tongues out and etch the word ʼweakʼ. In front of me, all lives are equal- equally weak, I mean. They have to bow their heads if they dare act arrogant.”

”…”

Fiora couldnʼt help but wipe her tears and grin from ear to ear. Davis usually didnʼt pose or say arrogant words, but when he did, it exhilarated her.

”Donʼt be hard on him…” Davis lightly said. He could only imagine how sparta Fiora would raise her son to be.

After all, if Arc had no bloodline prowess, then he must work harder than the others.

”That depends on him.” Fiora smiled like a cat before she kissed Arc again, appearing fully enamored with him.

”Thatʼs right…” Davis suddenly frowned as he turned to look at Stella, ”I donʼt sense Myria anywhere. She didnʼt come with you?”

”Iʼll answer that question.”

Illumina stepped forward. Accurately, it was one of her clones.

She began explaining what happened from the start, explaining how they made their journey to the Bloodied Rocky Plains, and began Myriaʼs tribulation.

”…” Davisʼs expression grew cold as he learned more details of the attack from the Ghostly Crow Realm Master.

It seemed that the Realm Master really went in for the kill with one shot, having no mercy.

Davis made sure to etch this in his heart. He didnʼt think he would leave the Ghostly Crow Realm Master alive even if he went out of his way to head to another galaxy.

After that, it seemed that they had escaped to another realm and learned many things, including who had invoked the Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation in the realm they had escaped to and intended to come back secretively.

”Lady Myria, Lereza, Vereina, and myself have met with Zenova in the Goldlust Rat Minor Realm, and from there, we decided to stay hidden since the realm is surrounded, but most importantly, it seems Lady Zenova has agreed to build a massive karmic-illusion formation that will aid our people in the future. Lady Myria said that as long as it isnʼt a heavenly tribulation with the Celestial Transcendent appearing, it should be able to hide the tribulation, even covering the overhead space of the tribulation.”

”…!”

Davis was alarmed that they would even try something like that, recalling that Zenova Artoria had eaten this heavenly resource called Nexus Triadveil Clover, he wondered if this was what made Myria embark on such a massive project.

”Theyʼre going to use Vereina as the test subject, and to power the formation, they will use Andironʼs and my blood essence,” Illumina added.

”…” Davisʼs expression was solemn. It was no wonder that Andiron wasnʼt here.

It seemed like he had gone to the Goldlust Rat Minor Realm.

”Are you okay with that?” He asked Illumina, which caused her to nod.

”Nothing brings me more happiness than to see the Davis Family flourish and remain safe and sound. If I could repay master in this way, then that would be my lifeʼs accomplishment,” Illumina bowed.

”…” Davis was left speechless. He knew this woman would give her life, so that was why he was able to believe that she would protect Myria no matter what.

He was heartened by her loyalty. At the same time, he also was moved by Myria who wanted to secure a place for them while she was out there but he was anxious that something would go amiss. For undertakings like this, he wished he was there with them.

”Tia, what do you think? Wouldnʼt it be better if you went there?”

”Yes,” Tia smiled, ”Considering Zenova used karmic and spatial arts to connect a bridge to the Grand Beginnings Continent from the First Haven World, I donʼt doubt her ability in Karma Laws. In fact, her techniques and power will only grow after consuming the Nexus Triadveil Clover. Even I am envious. Still, I have split my avatar, and one of Illuminaʼs clones came to take us and Andiron there.”

Davisʼs gaze shook. She could actually split the Solitary Soul Avatar?

”I have already changed the avatar technique to my needs.” Tia smiled ever so lightly.

She didnʼt explain further.

”Donʼt worry, my liege.” Illumina cupped her hands, ”My concealment ability makes it so that even Late Stage Empyreans would find it extremely hard to find me, much less border patrols that are constantly roaming the edges of the realms. I will deliver them safe and sound.”

”I know you will.” Davis calmed Illumina down.

She was just too passionate.

Still, although he found this necessary, he didnʼt feel like it needed to be done now. After all, even this realm of theirs could get spotted anytime, and he wouldnʼt find it strange. Since he learned that genius Mystic Diviners were now on his tail and perhaps Myriaʼs, they would surely make some progress and get nearer and nearer to their location day after day.
