Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4057  Nadiaʼs Childbirth Tribulation

”Let us help~”

Evelynn and Isabella quickly appeared as their figures flashed from the entrance to them.

”Nadia, hold on.”

”Davis is just on the other side, believing your strength…”

They helped her deliver two more children, each having one in their arms, before they reluctantly placed them beside their mother and retreated from the field, giving enough distance so that it wouldnʼt be considered that they were interfering with the tribulation.

If they participated, it would only make the tribulation worse.

*Rumble!~*

Above the dark clouds, the tribulation formed. The clouds turned dark red, seething with wrath.

Nadia and the othersʼ expressions fell as they saw that the range of the tribulation clouds was as expansive as it was during Myriaʼs Immortal King Tribulation. Although it wasnʼt comparable to Davisʼs, it was certainly enough to attract all the lifeforms in the region.

However, the duration of the tribulation would be relatively safe since no lifeform would dare to near an Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation of their own volition.

It could be said they banked on the lifeforms, fearing this tribulation and not nearing, so when it ends, they could just rush back into the portal and be safe again!

”Wei!~~~”

Nadia stood up on the bed.

”Donʼt worry. Mother will protect you all…”

She cast a gentle look at her children wrapped around in soft cloth and turned to look up, her eyes turning wrathful.

What had her children done to be receiving an annihilative tribulation? Was it because she broke the taboo and got pregnant?

She didnʼt care.

She appeared murderous, her purple-golden eyes looking sharp as she ascended. With the placentas still around the babies, they should work like a barrier from shockwaves. It came from her physical body, so it might even be able to withstand the tribulation strikes somewhat.

As she stood in the air fifteen meters above the children, her death energy seeped out, creating a protective barrier below.

She was unable to use any techniques as she was still weak and barely able to move, but she used all her strength and focus to defend herself. Biting her lips, she sacrificed her blood essence as she squeezed it out from her heart. She would surely turn even weaker after the backlash hits, but she couldnʼt afford to hold back right now.

The strength of the annihilative tribulation was unknown, but it was forming above her head, cracking with a deadly intensity.

The first annihilative heavenly lightning strike arrived without making a single sound, intending to exterminate in a single attack. It rushed down like a flying serpent, its draconic face opening to reveal a terrifying maw that sought to strike and annihilate.

*Bang!~*

It didnʼt even target Nadia, but it tried to go past her.

Nadia moved and struck with a palm and a wave of her hand in one swift motion.

The annihilative heavenly lightning shattered before her palm, crackling with crimson lightning arcs before it disappeared.

Nadia took a deep breath and relaxed as she saw the annihilative remnants disperse.

Fortunately, it seemed like the annihilative heavenly lightningʼs prowess was just two levels higher than expected. It could end a Level Five Immortal Emperor, but it can forget about ending her.

After all, she was a Level Three Immortal Emperor Beast. Her base prowess may have fallen all the way to Level One Immortal Emperor Beast Stage due to the weakness, but she was still an empress, capable of battling six levels higher, and combined with the prowess of her death energy, it could be as high as eight levels higher.

Still, due to her weakness, she could not fully use her prowess, and by sacrificing her blood essence, she could barely raise her prowess by six levels. This meant her prowess had reached Level Six Immortal Emperor Stage, which seemed to be allowing her to defend against the lightning strikes fine.

Evelynn and the others also recognized this, so they heaved a sigh of relief as they smiled with hope. However, they saw each movement weighed on Nadiaʼs weak body and psyche heavily, making them feel like she could faint anytime, but she continued on with sheer determination.

Three seconds later, another annihilative heavenly lightning fell.

*Bang!~*

Nadia extended another hand, blocking it with her palm. The annihilative heavenly lightning was unable to pierce through the sphere of death energy she summoned in her hand.

”The last one…” Evelynn uttered under her breath.

As long as the next strike fell and Nadia defended, they were ready to move and fall back into their mini-realm. Their nerves were taut, but they didnʼt forget to form a perimeter, ready to counter all kinds of trouble that may appear once the tribulation leaves.

Exactly three seconds later, the last strike fell.

*Bang!~*

Nadia waved her hand again, the strike blocked by her palm. The annihilative heavenly lightning was unable to do anything to her, but she staggered to the right, almost falling.

She smiled, knowing she defended her children.

Evelynn and the others also rejoiced. They took a step forward when they abruptly came to a stop.

*Rumble!~*

The sound of another annihilative heavenly lightning forming under the dark crimson clouds could be heard, forcing them to look above. They stared at the skies, their expressions falling.

”Impossible… a childbirth tribulation would send no more than three strikes… itʼs the same even for children between magical beasts and humans…” Evelynn uttered in shock.

Isabellaʼs gaze also flickered with trepidation, ”Is this… because of Nadiaʼs racial taboo…?”

Three seconds later, after the third strike, the fourth strike fell without a sound.

*Bang!~*

Nadia flicked her sleeves and created a wave of death energy that intercepted the annihilative heavenly lightning. However, it was fully unable to stop it, causing the strike to seep through and descend towards the babies.

”No!” Evelynn shouted.

However, the layer of death energy cloud made by Nadia below stopped the strike from hitting the children. Thousands of remnant annihilative heavenly lightning crimson arcs rumbled above the bed of death energy, but eventually, they dispersed within seconds.

And the moment they dispersed, another annihilative heavenly lightning fell!

*Bang!~*

This time, Nadia caught the annihilative heavenly lightning in her palms covered in death energy, her eyes bloodshot as she crushed it into oblivion. Her hand didnʼt seem to be harmed one bit, but even if it was, she looked as though she would not hesitate to kill anyone who confronted her right now.

She raised her head and glared at the skies with murderous intent.

*Rumble!~*

However, that just ended up angering the heavens even more. The skies continuously rumbled, and the power of the annihilative heavenly lightning seemed to increase a bit with each strike.

By this time, everyone could recognize this was the death-attributed wolfʼs unique tribulation- Eighteen Strikes Punitive Tribulation.

This tribulation increased in prowess little by little until the last strike was over one level higher.

Their expressions were not good.

They didnʼt recognize this unique tribulation factor because the lightning strikes werenʼt swords but dragons. They guessed this aspect mustʼve been taken from the father, Davis.

*RUMBLE!~~~*

11:37

The skies flashed with an apocalyptic light, and the clouds thundered incessantly. Dense annihilative energy gathered in lightning form and condensed to form a huge lightning dragon strike.

Evelynnʼs heart sank as she could tell this was the last strike since the last strike in heavenly lightning tribulation was big or turned into multiple strikes to distract and outnumber him. It seemed that the tribulation was only one-third of the Eighteen Strikes Punitive Tribulation.

ʼIf the sixth strike is the last strike, then its prowess would be…ʼ

It was not only Evelynn but Isabella and Nyoranʼs hearts also pained like they were being ripped to shreds. If they were not wrong, the last strike would be extremely difficult to deal with. Not only did it possess a huge amount of energy, but it matched Nadiaʼs current prowess!

The strike wasnʼt targeting her. She may not be able to stop it in her weak condition! But if she wanted to stop it, then the only reasonable outcome was to throw her body in front of it, but that would end her!
