Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4058  Interfering With The Tribulation?

”…!”

Evelynn and the others came to the same conclusion. Nadia would not be able to take the last strike and survive. Even if she survived, the babies definitely wouldnʼt!

Evelynnʼs eyes became a shade of red before she took a step forward, leaping.

The very next second, Isabella and Nyoran came to a stop as quickly as they moved. It would be fine if any one of them went. If all three of them went, then they might all be doomed from the wrath of the heavenly tribulation. They skidded to a stop on the soil.

Evelynn understood the cue.

She knew the consequences of joining this childbirth tribulation might transform it into a much more unpredictable tribulation. There was no telling what would come next. However, she knew for a fact that this annihilative tribulation was going to expand far more.

It was unknown what kind of terrifying lifeforms it might bring, but that was a risk she was willing to take.

ʼProtect, carry, and leave…!ʼ

Evelynn was about to enter a state of focus when she suddenly heard a voice that wasnʼt supposed to be there.

”Stop!”

It made her come to an abrupt stop as her four spider bones jutted out and stabbed into the soil, barely stopping her from entering the range of the tribulation.

”Myria…!”

She turned and yelled out, wanting to say this wasnʼt the time for planning and weighing the disadvantages. However, her pupils dilated as she saw Myria rush past her and head into the fray.

”Iʼll take care of it~”

Within a few steps, she made a last step and pounced, suddenly appearing beside Nadia.

Nadia was shocked, wanting to tell them to leave, but she barely had the strength to focus on her last defense. Her entire body was powerless, but even then, she tried to bring out the last strands of energy, even intending to sacrifice her soul essence. But now, that determination was slashed by Myria.

The sudden intrusion made her falter all because she knew help had arrived, making her relax ever so lightly.

However, a hand fell on her shoulder, one that possessed an intense warmth and security.

However, a hand fell on her shoulder, one that possessed an intense warmth and security.

”Donʼt worry. Protect the children.”

*RUMBLE!!!~*

The thunderous roar of the heavens drowned Myriaʼs voice. It was extremely angry for being interrupted and produced even more annihilative energy, condensing a second lightning dragon beside the big lightning dragon.

However, Nadia stared at Myriaʼs eyes and could tell what she was trying to say, causing her to nod forcefully and descend. She entered the cloud of death energy and exited as she landed on the bed and covered the children with her body, hugging them with tears in her eyes.

Never had she felt a tiny life could be so precious until this moment. Just by their smell, it was invoking all the motherly protective nature she had in her.

Myria raised her hand up exactly as the sixth strike fell.

*BANG!~*

The gigantic sixty-meter-tall dragon descended with a terrifying speed and crashed into Myria, causing a blinding explosion.

Evelynn and the others felt their hearts clench. They clenched their fists, their nails digging into their palms. If it werenʼt for their trust in Myria, they wouldʼve gone crazy by now.

Their minds rapidly spun, knowing that Myria could defend against this attack with ease.

The range of the tribulation also didnʼt seem to expand. After all, Myria was still an Immortal King, unlike those who were Immortal Emperors. If they interfered, the default notion of the tribulation wouldʼve grown much stronger, which meant the tribulationʼs prowess couldʼve reached above the Immortal Emperor Stage, reaching the Empyrean Stage in order to kill them for overstepping their bounds.

That was the punishment for interfering in any tribulation. The stronger they were, the heavier the punishment.

Still, Evelynn had the confidence she could barely survive because her maximum prowess was far higher than her base prowess. However, the consequences of making the tribulationʼs prowess reach the Empyrean Stage was a frightening thought, not because it would be powerful, but because it was unknown what kind of lure it would cause for the terrifying entities here.

If they were to come out, they might be doomed.

As the blinding light receded and their sight adjusted to the darkness, they saw a big circle spinning above Myria horizontally. No, they recognized it wasnʼt a circle but a wheel.

It was the reincarnation wheel.

It didnʼt allow a single strand of lightning to pierce past it, all shattered above. Hundreds and thousands of remnant annihilative heavenly lightning sparks danced around, quickly dispersing. They seemed to be quickly grounded to nothing as a tremendous amount of reincarnation energy swirled above the reincarnation wheel.

Isabella rejoiced, but she knew it wasnʼt over yet, and the true punitive strikes were going to descend, striking Myria for her impudence.

*Bang!~*

The annihilative heavenly lightning struck Myriaʼs reincarnation wheel, its prowess as much as a Level Nine Immortal Emperor Stage or perhaps even more. A terrifying shockwave carried outwards, causing the giant trees to sway heavily. The very sight of it was disastrous, but everyoneʼs heart sank as it revealed a few figures.

A Nether Devourer Beast to the north, its eyes on the tribulation.

A tremendously long slithering serpent to the south and a giant blood-eyed rabbit to the east. Both were of unknown nature. Still, their very presence made their hearts sink to the depths as they could tell that these creatures were at the Mid Empyrean Stage.

Right now, they were still hundreds of kilometers away, watching with their huge heads.

They were full of respect but, at the same time, were also intelligent enough to understand whatever down there was good for their stomachs.

Fortunately, they seem to be taking a few steps back after witnessing the heavenly punishment strike.

*Bang!~* *Bang!~* *Bang!~*

Three more strikes fell on Myria. Without a change, her reincarnation wheel blocked everything. The annihilative lightning strikes were unable to penetrate.

Evelynn and the others were shocked.

If it was a punishment, it would usually end with one punitive strike and a lot of karmic burden that increases the difficulty of their own tribulation. Now, it seemed like punishments were different for Anarchic Divergents.

*Bang!~*

The fifth punitive strike fell. The annihilative heavenly lightning descended and struck her.

Yet again, it didnʼt make a single crack on Myriaʼs reincarnation wheel.

Myria didnʼt even glance up. She was constantly scanning the surroundings, noticing all the lifeforms that were nearing them. There were two more terrifying entities in the shadows of the giant trees. She couldnʼt tell what they were but knew that with every few seconds, new menaces were appearing.

One look was enough for her to think she couldnʼt afford to stay any longer.

She eyed Evelynn and the others and saw that they were already near the portal.

She inwardly heaved a thankful sigh for their levelheadedness and looked at the sixth punitive strike. The annihilative heavenly lightning dragon was as big as the strike she encountered first. The only difference was that it seemed to be two levels above Level Nine Immortal Emperor Stage.

*BANG!~*

The air shuddered, and the upper body of the trees was practically on flames from the giant lightning strike exploding on Myriaʼs reincarnation wheel. With the spiral force of the wheel sending the explosion away, it spread across the skies, millions of lightning arcs ricocheting around space.

It caused the terrifying lifeforms of the Nether Dimension to turn around and flee.

Even the low-intelligence Nether Devourer Beast had scampered away.

The annihilative aura was just too dangerous for them this time around as it neared them in prowess ever so lightly. They feared that it might continue to increase in prowess. However, little did they know the tribulation already ended.

However, Myria could see even dangerous existences in the distance. Their auras were hidden, but the fright the tribulation gave them allowed her to sense them. They were Late Stage Empyrean existences!

”Now!”

Myria descended and took Nadia and the children with her, rushing towards the portal where Evelynn and Isabella were barely a step away from entering. Nyoran was waiting to enter last as she needed to close the portal behind her.

The portal was just two seconds away with Myriaʼs speed, but it seemed so long.

”Where are you going, Anarchic Divergent!?”

A thunderous voice echoed from the distance.

It was full of hostile intent, causing tremendous pressure to fall on Myria. It instantly halved her speed by half. If it werenʼt for Evelynn and Isabellaʼs pressure countering and also for the huge distance between them, her bones mightʼve broken. Furthermore, the enemy wasnʼt using his full strength since there was still the remnant aura of the tribulation remaining, full of annihilative intent.

She could tell that the enemy was still anxious and afraid of the heavenly tribulation, which massively decreased their full might.

To Myria, it was as expected.

The Heavenʼs Warriors werenʼt the only ones going after Divergents. If normal cultivators saw them, they would hunt them too, as long as they were powerful themselves, and the same probably went for the other denizens in other Dimensions.

There was no escape for them anywhere.

However, Myria didnʼt lose hope.

Her life ring shined ever so lightly, and the palm of her hand contained a strange pearl. It glowed with an iridescent light, extravagantly beautiful. Her eyes narrowed as she recalled her conversation before she left here.
