I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 690, Calm Co Co

Co Co opened her golden eyes, reaching out to rub her sleepy eyes as she slowly got up.

She slowly walked out of the wooden house, looking at everything of the Sea Fish Tribe. It had to be said, she had been sleeping very well since returning.

It might be because she had returned to her homeland that her heart felt slightly more at ease, albeit only when sleeping.

“I hope the Sea Fish Tribe gets better.” Co Co suddenly sighed.

These days in the Sea Fish Tribe, she had many things to worry about, and the whole person was exhausted beyond measure.

Now not everyone in the Tribe was from the Sea Fish Tribe; most of them were all from the Sea Insect Tribe.

Since this Tribe had been occupied by people from the Sea Insect Tribe, naturally there were more of their people.

Even after reclaiming her Tribe, it was very difficult to manage, which was the reason for her worry.

Although the Flame Dragon Tribe had sent someone to serve as the Sea Fish Tribe’s Chieftain, she still found it hard to feel at ease.

It was not that she minded the Sea Fish Tribe being managed by others, but she worried that the original Sea Insect Tribe people would not be obedient. They might even frequently stir up trouble, which was not what she wanted to see.

“Now, the most important thing is to appease those from the Sea Fish Tribe.” Co Co murmured to herself.

She felt that the Sea Fish Tribe people were the most important; they certainly would not accept letting an outsider rule the Sea Fish Tribe.

After all, their Sea Fish Tribe still had people. Yet, another Tribe had specially sent someone to supervise the Tribe, this was something the Sea Fish Tribe people could not understand, and they easily developed thoughts of rebellion.

As for the Sea Insect Tribe people, they felt it did not matter. They were originally people who invaded other Tribes. Now it was just that this Tribe had been snatched back, and they unfortunately had been left here.

Now, they felt it did not matter who managed them; for them, there was no change at all.

“I hope they can listen to what I say.” Co Co worried.

She was afraid those people would not listen to her, which would make it difficult for her to explain to the Shaman.

Anyway, she was now a person of the Flame Dragon Tribe, and the Sea Fish Tribe would need to listen to the Flame Dragon Tribe.

She stayed here also for this reason, wanting everyone to accept this new reality.

Only by following the Flame Dragon Tribe would the Sea Fish Tribe naturally improve.

*Step step step…* Co Co began walking towards the centre of the Tribe, wanting to find her people to talk to.

To make them accept this new reality, she must clearly explain the benefits of the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Half an hour later, Co Co arrived at Ji An’s wooden house, and at the same time, many people had gathered inside.

Ji An was considered someone with a relatively high position among the original Sea Fish Tribe people, and among the current people, he was second only to Co Co.

“Did you sleep well last night?” Co Co asked.

After she entered, those people made way for the central position.

“We slept very well and also received quite a lot of distributed dried meat.” Ji An spoke first.

He had brown short hair, with very distinct facial features, especially his jaw, nose, and chin. His brown eyes were also extraordinarily deep, and his figure quite tall, about 1.75 metres.

However, his overall temperament was still there, clearly the temperament of a leader. Previously in the Sea Fish Tribe, he had served as the Leader of the Warrior Trainees.

The Sea Insect Tribe people had originally wanted to eliminate him, but seeing his good physical strength, they kept him as a labourer.

“That’s good. In the coming days, dried meat will be distributed gradually every day, and everyone will definitely not go hungry.” Co Co immediately said.

“I wonder what Co Co has come for this time?” Ji An asked directly.

He knew that recently Co Co had been busy with Sea Fish Tribe matters and rarely had time to come find them. Now that she had suddenly come, and with everyone gathered, he sensed there was something to discuss.

“I want to tell you all not to be too resistant to the current Chieftain.” Co Co did not hide anything either.

She knew the other party was wise. Since they were talking directly, it would be good for her to be frank.

“We’re not resistant; we just feel that his position is more suitable for you.” Ji An was somewhat dissatisfied.

He had already anticipated that it would probably be about this matter, after all, he was leading the current Sea Fish Tribe people.

Although on the surface everyone listened to the new Chieftain, privately they still stuck together.

“I know what you want to say, but Father is now gone, and I’m not a Warrior. I have no way to lead the Tribe.” Co Co took a deep breath and continued, “The new Chieftain is more suitable. He was sent by the Flame Dragon Tribe and can definitely help us.”

Co Co naturally knew that her identity was more suitable for being the new Chieftain of the Sea Fish Tribe, but that was only in terms of status. In terms of strength, it was completely inadmissible. She had no ability to lead this Tribe.

Instead, she would put this Tribe in a difficult situation if she took on that position. Rather than watching the Tribe perish, it was better to let it develop.

“He’s more suitable? I don’t know how he’s suitable at all. He’s completely unsuitable for our Tribe.” Ji An said without hesitation.

He did not want to hide his dissatisfaction. He originally felt that the Tribe should not be managed by outsiders.

“Fine, according to what you say, I’m suitable. Then how exactly am I suitable?” Co Co did not want to say too much and directly challenged the other party.

“You are the Chieftain’s Daughter. Your status is noble. Of course you’re more suitable.” Ji An said.

He had always believed that Tribes should be legitimate, that tribal hierarchy should be clear and distinct. As the Chieftain’s Daughter, Co Co should rightfully take over the Sea Fish Tribe to become the new Chieftain.

“Setting aside this point, what kind of direction do you think I can lead the Tribe towards?” Co Co continued to counter-question.

She knew that no matter how much she said to the other party, it would be useless. She had to make the other party see the pros and cons clearly.

Under the current circumstances, it was not useful to persist with so-called hierarchical rules; one still had to see clearly the subsequent development.

“I…” Ji An was somewhat stunned, paused for a moment and continued, “We will all help you. We will definitely make the Sea Fish Tribe better.”

“Making the Sea Fish Tribe better is naturally the right thing to do, but how will you help me?” Co Co continued to ask.

She had never been as calm as today, her delicate face showing no expression whatsoever.

Her golden eyes were also very cold, and her hands had no superfluous movements, just quietly watching those people.

“We will go out to hunt. We can be self-sufficient and don’t need people from the Flame Dragon Tribe.” Ji An said excitedly.

“And then?” Co Co continued to ask.
