I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 672, Blue Spider Silk!

Su Bai prepared several Beast Bones, ready to conduct the experiments.

He had the mindset that there was nothing impossible in the world for those with determination. He was determined to create the Taming Shaman Bone Tablet no matter what.

Moreover, his mind contained the entire process of how the Old Shaman created Shaman Bone Tablets, so he only needed to do trial and error at this point.

“The method of directly conducting the Taming Skill won’t work, but what about conducting it through a medium?”

Su Bai looked at the Beast Scales in his hand and continued muttering to himself. “Fusing each material onto the Beast Bone, perhaps it might work?”

This was something he had just thought of, considering that other Shaman Bone Tablets were all made by gathering materials onto a single Beast Bone. Finally, letting that Beast Bone fully absorb the energy from the materials, using Shaman Technique to seal it and thus creating the product.

“Then, I’ll need something sturdy.” His hands rummaged through a pile of materials, needing to find something extremely hard.

“These few will do.” Su Bai looked satisfactorily at several materials before him.

Respectively, they were all hard Beast Scales, one pair of antlers from a Six Horned Deer, Green Eye Lizard tail vertebrae, and so forth.

Among them was one material that came from a Ferocious Beast that had appeared during the eternal night.

That was, the Tortoise-like Ferocious Beast, and its hard shell.

After Su Bai prepared the hard materials, he deployed the Taming skill.

Blue radiance instantly burst forth from his palm, slowly flowing out from his fingertips. Following his commands, it began adhering to those hard materials, and within a few minutes, each piece of material was covered with densely packed blue radiance forming silk-like threads, looking just like spider silk.

The light emitted by this blue radiance was also blue, and in an instant, the entire second floor took on a bluish, ethereal feeling.

“Enough.” Su Bai withdrew his Skill.

He examined those pieces of material glowing with blue radiance, discovering only slight cracks on their surfaces.

They had not shattered into powder like the previous Beast Bone, which was a good sign.

[It might still fall short, but this is still better than complete failure.]

“Next comes carving the Shaman Runes, but how should I carve them?” Su Bai fell into distress again.

Each Shaman Bone Tablet had corresponding Shaman Runes, and these Runes were also an important part of successfully creating the Shaman Bone Tablets.

All the prepared materials would flow along these Runes.

In short, a proper Shaman Rune was indispensable, but how exactly should the Shaman Rune for the Taming Skill be constructed?

Thinking of this, Su Bai used his Taming Skill again.

However, this time he did not exert much force, only using 1/3 of the power needed to Tame a single wild beast.

The reason for being so cautious was fear that the Beast Bone would turn to powder again.

*Crack!*

That Beast Bone still turned to powder just the same, a pile of white powder lay sprawled across the table.

“Even such a small amount will shatter it? Then, even if these materials are ground up and applied, it still won’t succeed.” Su Bai frowned and muttered to himself.

Indeed, creating Shaman Bone Tablets was not an easy matter, even with numerous ideas in his mind.

Even though he had created many Shaman Bone Tablets before, actually creating a completely new one was extremely difficult.

“What if I change the materials? Would using something other than this Beast Bone as the base be better?” Thinking this, Su Bai searched for other bones.

Although there were no special requirements for the bones needed to create each type of Shaman Bone Tablet, any bone from a reasonably powerful Ferocious Beast would do.

But now, he was creating a new Shaman Bone Tablet. Perhaps, he needed to change it to some better materials.

Su Bai gradually found several Beast Bones, all from different Ferocious Beasts.

“Taming!” He continued deploying the Taming Skill, but the result was still a failure, and those bones all turned to powder.

“I keep decreasing the power each time, yet they still turn to powder.” Su Bai helplessly played with the powder.

He wished there were some hints, or that there had been recorded materials beforehand.

With nothing, he could only blindly continue with the trial and error, extrapolating from his previous experience creating Shaman Bone Tablets.

Su Bai’s index finger kept tapping lightly on the table. He could not give up so easily, his mind constantly thinking of new methods.

His black eyes caught sight of a bone in the corner, and he said with pleasant surprise. “Maybe, using bones from those new Ferocious Beasts might work?”

Piled in the corner were quite a few bones, all from Ferocious Beasts that had appeared during the eternal night.

At the time, thinking about creating Shaman Bone Tablets, Yan Jiao had the Tribe save quite a few. After cleaning them thoroughly, they were all sent to the Yong’an Building.

Naturally, these new Beast Bones had been somewhat forgotten. Had Su Bai not stumbled upon them while searching for Beast Bones just now, he probably would have forgotten about them.

“Since your shells are so hard, and you’re so strange, I hope you can give me a surprise.” Su Bai weighed the bone in his hand.

When all the bones were sent to the Yong’an Building, they had already been polished into shapes suitable for creating Shaman Bone Tablets.

This saved Su Bai the trouble of polishing them again; he only needed to prepare the materials.

He had the maid simply tidy up the table, then placed that Beast Bone right in the centre.

Su Bai deployed the Taming Skill once more, this time also using a third of the usual output.

Blue radiance quietly slipped out from his fingers again, becoming several tendrils that wrapped around that Beast Bone.

When the wrapping reached a certain degree, Su Bai stopped deploying the Taming Skill.

He picked up that Beast Bone to examine it and said satisfactorily. Just like I thought.”

The Beast Bone did not immediately turn to powder, and the surface showed no cracks.

It worked.

The entire Beast Bone also manifested faint blue radiance, though this blue radiance appeared in a spider silk-like state adhering to the bone.

“I’ll carve around this pattern.” Su Bai’s lips curved upward slightly.

He was thinking that this pattern was formed from the energy from the Taming Skill. Thus, he only needed to avoid the pattern and carve channels into the remaining part of the Beast Bone.

Finally, the materials that had been subjected to the Taming Skill would be mixed together, then the mixture would be integrated into this bone.

This way, a Taming Shaman Bone Tablet could be created.

Naturally, this still needed to be done and tested. Whether it could actually succeed depended on more experiments. Who knew if his plans might not match Heaven’s intentions?

Su Bai picked up a small bone knife and began meticulous carving, looking exceptionally solemn.
