I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 678, Plenty to Keep Busy

Yan Hua put down her cup and asked. “Shaman, how are we going to train these people?”

Yan Hua felt that her usual training intensity was quite high, and if that was not toned down, it would be easy to scare those people away.

In this case, forget about cultivating soldiers, there probably would not be a single person willing to participate.

“That’s right, we definitely can’t use our previous methods.” Sha Lan was also a bit worried.

The training intensity for Warrior Trainee and Totem Warrior was not something ordinary people could endure. Even if the training intensity was halved, those ordinary people would still struggle, and if not careful, they could easily get injured.

“This isn’t difficult. I can give you a plan, and you can train them according to this plan.” Su Bai said.

Speaking of this, the first thing that came to his mind was soldier training from Earth.

Though he did not remember it very clearly or comprehensively, he could still recall the general outline.

He had participated in military training before, so the process should be similar.

“Having a plan makes things much better. We’ll just follow your plan.” Yan Hua breathed a sigh of relief.

At first, she was worried about what to do if they were too heavy-handed. After becoming a Totem Warrior, her control over her own strength was not as stable as before. If touching small cats and dogs, she could easily injure them.

It was much better now. No longer like the time when she had just awakened, she could now control the magnitude of her strength much better.

“First design some obstacles for them to climb, as well as running and such.” Su Bai pondered.

“Shaman wants to improve their stamina first, right?” Sha Lan guessed.

“Besides that, it’s also to make their limbs more coordinated. Sometimes when executing missions, limb coordination is very important.” Su Bai said softly.

It would not be good if those people improved their stamina but could not coordinate their limbs properly to operate the weapons.

One must know that life and death were matters that could be decided in an instant. When war occurs, one cannot afford the slightest mistake.

A mistake represents the end of a life. His reason for training those people was also to be responsible for them.

“I understand.” Sha Lan said seriously.

“Running can’t be done on flat roads either. That won’t serve any purpose.” Su Bai took out a quill pen.

He kept his head down, writing on paper as ideas suddenly surged forth like a spring.

“Shaman wants to take them into the forest to run?” Sha Lan asked curiously.

“I think that’s feasible. Let them get a good workout in the forest.” Yan Hua nodded repeatedly.

“Hahahaha,” Su Bai laughed heartily and said. “The forest isn’t impossible, but we can’t go too deep inside.”

“Yes, it’s easy for dangers to appear, especially Ferocious Beasts. We’d have to divide our attention to protect them.” Sha Lan agreed.

“Then let’s run in the forest outer region. That should be safer.” Yan Hua blinked her red eyes.

Su Bai nodded lightly and explained: “The forest has many stones, bushes, and fallen trees, increasing the difficulty of running, and the training results will be better.”

“I’ve noted that.” Sha Lan nodded.

“Besides that, there are several other training projects, such as crawling forward in mud, or obstacle courses and weight-bearing exercises…” Su Bai continued.

Actually, recruit training had many particulars, which he had not explained very clearly.

On Earth, recruit training mainly had four types: formation, combat techniques, tactics, and physical fitness.

Formation was further divided into several types, depending on the size of the group.

Combat techniques were also divided into several types, including posture and pace, boxing techniques, leg techniques, anti-strike techniques, and combat boxing.

Tactics mainly trained individual soldier tactics, which included lying down and movement postures before attacking. Movement postures had many varieties, like low crawl, high crawl, side crawl, high side crawl, and rolling. Rolling was also divided into two types: stationary rolling and moving rolling.

Physical fitness was quite complex and very diverse, including five-kilometre cross-country, 100-metre sprint, frog jumps, push-ups, single-leg extensions, combined physical exercises, etc.

This was a very lengthy undertaking. Recruit training generally lasted over two months. Being able to persist for those two-plus months counted as a true success.

Besides that, there were many different things to do. In short, it was not an easy task.

“There are actually so many? Looks like we’ll have plenty to keep us busy.” Sha Lan said in shock.

“Having so many is great. Let them try.” Yan Hua was particularly excited.

She felt that with so many projects, she could also try them herself. The point was that training these people would not be idle work either.

“Every time these things come up, you’re all always so happy.” Su Bai laughed and shook his head.

Yan Hua brushed her long black hair and said with a smile. “This just sounds very interesting.”

“Even so, you must pay attention and not go overboard. Start slowly at the beginning, and once their physical fitness improves, then increase the training intensity.” Su Bai instructed.

People who had never trained before would not be able to handle high-intensity training all at once. They might be unable to move the next day after just one day.

“Shaman, we know what to do.” Yan Hua said expectantly.

“I’m not worried about Ah’Lan. I’m more worried about you.” Su Bai joked.

Yan Hua immediately became earnest and said righteously. “Shaman, I will absolutely listen to your words.”

“Shaman, are there any other conditions for the recruitment?” Sha Lan asked.

Sha Lan wanted to clarify the selection standards for soldiers, whether they were similar to the Warrior Trainees.

“The threshold should be lower than for Warrior Trainees. If it’s too strict, no one will qualify.” Su Bai said.

He felt that if they were just selecting soldiers for training, using Warrior Trainee standards for selection would probably leave no one able to pass.

“I understand. Then there will definitely be many qualified people in the Tribe.” Sha Lan immediately thought of those who had not awakened as Warrior Trainees.

Whether in physical fitness or aptitude, they were all suited to be Warrior Trainees. Regrettably, they had not successfully awakened during this year’s Totem Awakening Ceremony.

“All those who participated in the Totem Awakening Ceremony can be recruited.” Su Bai also understood what Sha Lan was thinking.

“Yes.” Sha Lan immediately responded.

“Tonight, everyone should rest well. Tomorrow you’ll have plenty of work to keep busy.” Su Bai said warmly.

“Understood.” Both Yan Hua replied happily.
