I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 663, Like Their Own Tribe

The Giant Bear Tribe had also dispatched people to leave the Tribe; they were preparing to go to the Spotted Deer Tribe.

What they wanted, of course, was also to exchange some things to bring back to the Tribe, after three days of the eternal night.

The Giant Bear Tribe had also suffered heavy losses, likewise encountering many Ferocious Beasts they had never seen before.

The key issue was that the ring of wooden walls at the Tribe’s entrance had all been destroyed, and the wooden houses nearby had likewise been destroyed.

The Totem Warriors within the Tribe had suffered considerable casualties, as well as the Warrior Trainees, with death and injury numbers reaching seventy to eighty.

This was considered a heavy blow, and even though it was a Large Tribe, it was somewhat difficult to bear this kind of blow.

Fortunately, they had held the Totem Awakening Ceremony, and quite a few Warrior Trainees had awakened, just enough to fill the previous deficit.

However, there were not that many Totem Warriors, only ten to twenty had awakened, which was a very small number for a Large Tribe.

Typically, a Large Tribe’s awakening numbers could reach around fifty, and this was the average number.

Some could even reach higher; this was all a very common baseline for Large Tribes, from which it could be seen that the Giant Bear Tribe this year had not yielded promising results.

Despite this, the Tribe still had to maintain daily operations, and going to other Tribes to trade was essential.

This time, the one leading the Warriors to the Spotted Deer Tribe was Kuang, who was also the Totem Warrior who had previously led Kai and the others to Flame Dragon Tribe.

In terms of strength, he was formidable, and having him lead this time was most appropriate; since most of such tasks were generally led by him.

“Aren’t we going to Flame Dragon Tribe anymore?” Kai asked curiously.

He had likewise come out with them, and during the Totem Awakening Ceremony, he had also awakened to become a Totem Warrior.

It was just that his strength likewise had not increased much as he still needed more training.

This time, following Kuang out to the Spotted Deer Tribe was also one form of training, also letting him see more of other Tribes’ situations.

“That’s right, why aren’t we going to Flame Dragon Tribe? We could still trade for ceramics.” Luo also asked.

Actually, what he most wanted in his heart was the food from Flame Dragon Tribe, although the ceramics were also very good.

However, in his heart, food was far superior to anything else; ever since returning to Giant Bear Tribe, he had been thinking about the food there.

“We need to first trade for necessities from the Spotted Deer Tribe back, then we’ll talk about Flame Dragon Tribe later.” Kuang said.

He had been walking at the very front of the team, seriously scanning the surroundings with a grave expression, fearing that some danger might appear.

This time, a total of twenty Totem Warriors had set out, of which six were veteran Totem Warriors.

The rest were all Totem Warriors who had just awakened this year, because they all wanted to bring them out for some experience.

“Okay, but I heard that the Flame Dragon Tribe is close to the route back; shouldn’t we stop by?” Kai still would not give up.

No matter what, he wanted to go to Flame Dragon Tribe to have a look, not knowing what they had become like after eternal night.

This was the first time he had hoped so much that another Tribe was all right, the biggest reason being their Tribe’s ceramics.

“We’ll see when the time comes; if time permits.” Kuang still said without turning his head back.

He was now wholeheartedly focused on eliminating the surrounding dangers, since they were out in the Wilderness.

If he was negligent, the number of deaths and injuries could be very high.

The Giant Bear Tribe had already lost many Warriors; this time, they absolutely could not have any accidents while out travelling.

He also understood very well that this was when many Wandering Tribes were restless. One moment of carelessness and they could be injured by hidden weapons; for the sake of staying alive, he had to be cautious.

*Step step step…*

Everyone had been advancing for several hours and finally slowly approached the Spotted Deer Tribe.

During this time, they had encountered people from other Tribes once; those fellows were quite unlucky.

There were only a few warriors, surrounded by people from other Wandering Tribes and robbed.

Kuang and the others naturally pretended not to see; as long as they themselves weren’t hurt, it wasn’t their business.

“It looks like the Spotted Deer Tribe also suffered heavy losses.” Kai saw that the wooden walls on the outer region of the Spotted Deer Tribe had also been rebuilt.

From those fresh tree trunks, which still carried green, it was obvious.

He remembered that when they had come before, this row of wooden walls had been brown; with traces of being dried out.

“Which Tribe didn’t suffer heavy losses during the eternal night? Even we were no exception, let alone the Spotted Deer Tribe.” Li said coldly.

The Spotted Deer Tribe was a Medium Tribe; the Tribe’s area and population could not be compared to the Giant Bear Tribe.

“What you say is true, but according to this, then Flame Dragon Tribe…” Kai’s expression was a bit unsightly.

Previously, he had planned out how to obtain a ceramic piece. He could not bear it if the Flame Dragon Tribe disappeared before he could get his hands on one.

“Don’t think too much; after we finish our business here, we should be able to go have a look, and then we’ll know everything.” Li waved her hand.

She did not know why her Young Brother was so obsessed with the Flame Dragon Tribe. Although that Tribe was indeed quite good, he seemed to treat it as if that Tribe was his own Tribe.

“You wait outside here; don’t wander about.” Kuang seriously instructed those new Totem Warriors.

He needed to take dried meat inside to negotiate with the Spotted Deer Tribe’s Chieftain, in order to exchange back for more goods.

“Understood.” The Totem Warriors replied in unison.

*Step step step…*

Kai watched Kuang’s departing figure as he went inside, then began wandering around within the Spotted Deer Tribe, wanting to see what was different here this time.

Spotted Deer Tribe’s market this time was likewise set up on the outer region of the Tribe.

There were also many people from other Tribes setting up stalls, all wanting to exchange the things in their hands for some dried meat to take back.

Kai walked to where more than ten people had gathered and stopped, because he saw them chattering and discussing.

He was a bit curious about what they were saying, mainly because he had heard the words, ‘Flame Dragon Tribe’, that he stopped.

“Have you heard? The Flame Dragon Tribe seems to be setting up a market.” A middle-aged man said quietly.

“Are you telling the truth? How come I’ve never heard of this Tribe?” Another person responded.

“It’s not far from here; it takes three days to walk there, and I heard their Tribe has many amazing things.” The middle-aged man said.

“Aren’t those ceramics all from their Tribe?” Another woman asked.

“Exactly, even those fine linen are all from their Tribe.” Another person nodded repeatedly.

“…”

Similar discussion sounds were endless; everyone’s discussion topics all revolved around Flame Dragon Tribe.

“Did you hear that? The Flame Dragon Tribe is going to set up a market?” Kai suspected he had heard wrong.

“You didn’t hear wrong; I heard it too.” Li also found it incredible.

“It looks like we really need to make a trip to the Flame Dragon Tribe now.” Luo was already getting excited.

Of course, his point of excitement was being able to eat Flame Dragon Tribe’s food.
