Transmigrated To Ancient Time: Thrive With An Auction System!

Chapter 273: Sky-high Price Sauce ( 9 )

Everyone watched with excitement while the big families fought for a jar of sauce. When the last jar was sold, it had reached 8,790 taels of silver.

As the last item was sold, the auction finally came to an end. When everyone left the auction house, the news about the sky-high price of the sauce spread throughout the entire town within a few hours.

In the back room, Zhou Boming was staring at several boxes of silver ingots with disbelief. Sitting across from him was Manager Sui.

”Boss Zhou, the total of the auction of the spicy chili crisps is 37,690 taels of silver. The auction house’s fee is 3%, 1,130 taels of silver. Here is a total of 36,560 taels of silver. As you requested, we exchanged the silver for gold. Please count it.”

Zhou Boming glanced at his sons, and they counted the money. After they were sure that the amount was correct, he stood up and said, ”Thank you for your help, Manager Sui.”

”Boss Zhou, you are too polite,” Manager Sui smiled. After a moment of pause, she asked, ”Boss Zhou, when will the second batch of the sauce be delivered?”

Zhou Boming thought for a moment and said, ”The next batch will be delivered next month.”

Hearing this, Manager Sui nodded and said nothing. She didn’t pry into the identity of the person providing this sauce to Zhou Boming.

With the help of the auction house’s guards, they returned to their house with the money.

Zhou Boming and his family never expected that with only 50 jin of sauce, their family could earn a total of 3,656 taels of silver.

Fearing that something would go wrong, Zhou Boming sent his eldest son to Yang Village to deliver the money.

When he arrived, the sun had slanted to the west.

This time, Ling Shi’er didn’t block him outside and brought him to his room instead. After he poured him a cup of tea, he went to inform Yao Zhi.

Learning that Zhou Zihong came for a visit, Yao Zhi went over and asked, ”Brother Zhou, what brought you here so late today?”

Zhou Zihong stood up and greeted her before he took out a box and said, ”Miss Yao, we auctioned 50 jin of your spicy chili crisps today, earning a total of 37,690 taels of silver.”

”After deducting the fee of the auction house and my family’s portion, there is a total of 32,904 taels of silver left. We exchanged it for 329 taels of gold and 4 taels of silver.”

Yao Zhi was surprised that the grandmother brand’s chili sauce could be sold at such a high price here. She opened the box and saw the gold ingots and silver ingots inside.

She smiled and said, ”Thank you, Brother Zhou.”

Zhou Zihong stood up and said, ”It’s not early anymore, and I have to go back to report to my father. Miss Yao, I will take my leave first.”

Yao Zhi nodded and replied, ”Brother Zhou, walk slowly.”

Ling Shi’er sent him off while Yao Zhi returned to her room. She stored the money in her system’s storage and let out a sigh. Thanks to her system, she could earn money as easily as drinking water.

After she thanked the system, she continued reading the agricultural records.

The next day, the news of the new sauce reached Xue Ya’er. As she listened to the managers’ report, she smiled and said, ”If they wanted to compete for that, then let them be.”

After she said this, she turned to Jiang Muling and asked, ”Manager Jiang, the textile shop did very well last month. Have you found a new supplier for the fur?”

Hearing this, Jiang Muling replied, ”Madam, there was a village woman selling high-quality rabbit fur to us, which solved our problem. I offered her long-term cooperation, but she said that if we want long-term cooperation, she wants a share of our store.”

Xue Ya’er smiled and asked, ”How much did she ask?”

”She wanted 1% of our store’s annual profit, not including the price for the fur.”

When the other managers heard this, they took a sharp breath. Their textile stores earn more than 500,000 taels of silver annually.

1% of the annual profit was equal to 5,000 taels of silver. This was not extra income outside the furs. In other words, this seller wanted to earn this amount without doing anything.

The moment she heard this, someone’s face flashed in Xue Ya’er’s mind. ”Manager Jiang, do you have any samples of that rabbit fur?”

Jiang Muling nodded and handed a box to her. She had prepared the goods for her mistress to inspect.

Dong Mei opened the box and showed the contents to Xue Ya’er.

She took the fur out of the box and smiled. After a moment, she put it back into the box and said, ”Not bad. With this quality, it’s no wonder that the sales have increased so much.”

”Madam, I have personally tested the fur. Besides the smooth texture and shiny look, this fur is very warm.”

After she said this, Jiang Muling took out another box. Inside was a pair of gloves she had personally made for her mistress.

Xue Ya’er put on the gloves and said, ”If she can provide our store with this quality of fur, I can give her a share of the clothing store’s annual income.”

Hearing this, Jiang Muling added, ”She also said that she could provide two types of fur with better quality than this rabbit fur.”

Xue Ya’er nodded and said, ”Draft the agreement letter and give her 2% of the annual income. The requirement is for her to deliver at least 100 jin of rabbit fur and new types of fur once every 3 months.”

”Understood,” Jiang Muling nodded.

They discussed the business until it was noon. When they were done, Dong Mei led the managers to the side courtyard for lunch before sending them off.
