Transmigrated To Ancient Time: Thrive With An Auction System!

Chapter 271: Sky-high Price Sauce ( 7 )

Hearing its host’s question, the system replied, ”Personal assistant function.”

”This function can measure anything in seconds and help you make customized clothes, masks, body suits, and shoes. It can even help you do a body checkup such as eyesight, hearing, blood pressure, and other checkups related to women’s and men’s reproductive health.”

When she heard this, Yao Zhi asked again, ”How much is the cost to unlock this function?”

”Since this function is related to the Host’s well-being, the system will give you a 10% discount. From the original price of 40,000,000 points, hosts only need to pay 35,000,000 points! This super deal only lasts for 15 minutes! Grab it now, or you will regret it later!”

Yao Zhi rubbed her temples when she heard of the system’s familiar marketing scam. This system was trying to rob her again. She let out a snort and said, ”I’m not interested.”

The system went silent for a moment before it asked, ”Host, are you sure you don’t want to unlock this function?”

”With this function, you don’t have to spend money to buy the silicon mask, silicon body suit, or contact lenses anymore. You can save a lot of money with this function. What’s more, you can get a free general checkup for a lifetime.”

Hearing this, Yao Zhi was almost tempted. She gritted her teeth and said, ”I’m not interested.”

The system was caught off guard by her rejection. Since it was bound with this Host, its Host always complained, but still ended up unlocking the features and functions.

It never expected its Host to become so stingy suddenly. It had to find a way for its Host to unlock this function, or it would face punishment from the main system.

After a long silence, it finally said, ”Host, to reward your hard work, the system decided to give you another 50% discount! You only need to pay 16,000,000 points to unlock this function!”

When she heard this, Yao Zhi narrowed her eyes and was sure that her system was indeed lying to her before. The price to unlock the feature must have been inflated by the system!

Although she was angry at her system for increasing the price, she still considered the benefit of unlocking this function. After a while, she said, ”I will only pay 10,000,000 points.”

”Host, the price is too low. I can only give you 15,000,000 at the lowest,” the system tried to bargain with her.

”10,000,000.”

”14,000,000!”

”10,000,000.”

The system went silent for a moment and said, ”12,000,000! It can’t go any lower!”

Although the mechanical voice still sounded as emotionless as before, Yao Zhi could hear the hint of anger and heartache in those words. She could even imagine the system gritting its nonexistent teeth.

Feeling better, she grinned and exclaimed, ”Deal!”

The moment she agreed, she heard the sound of her points being deducted.

The next second, she heard a notification sound, and another blue screen popped up in front of her. The personal assistant function was part of the automatic management feature.

In simple words, this function worked similarly to the personal assistant position in the modern era’s workplace.

After she learned about the new function, Yao Zhi clicked on it and input a name for her personal assistant. She thought for a moment and decided on Lu Chi.

When she was done, she closed the system and went to sleep.

Early the next morning, the area near the auction house located in Zhu’an Town was crowded with a group of servants from various wealthy and influential families.

Normally, even when the auction house brought out a rare treasure, it would only receive several more guests, unlike today.

At 6 o’clock in the morning, the auction house’s manager finally arrived. Soon after she entered from the back door, she noticed her staff were peeking outside through the window.

Feeling curious, she walked over and asked, ”What are you all doing here instead of working?”

Startled by her voice, the staff turned around and bowed their heads. Seeing this, she put one of her hands on her hips and pointed at them. ”Look at all of you.”

”We will open for business in less than an hour. Instead of working, all of you are just crowding around here. If you don’t want to work anymore, just pack up and leave.”

When they heard this, one of the staff finally said, ”Manager Sui, it’s not that we are slacking off. But we are checking the situation outside.”

Frowning at her words, Manager Sui walked to the window while grumbling, ”What’s so good outside?”

The moment she pushed open the window, she was startled to see a large crowd waiting outside the auction house.

Her eyes widened in surprise as she said, ”There are so many distinguished guests outside, and all of you are just looking at them?”

Seeing that her staff were just staring at her, she stomped her feet and scolded, ”What are you all waiting for? Quickly open the door and invite the guests in, ah!”

When they heard this, the staff finally understood and quickly went to open the door and do their work. Sui Yunniang let out a sigh and took a deep breath for a moment before she put away her annoyed expression.

The moment she appeared in front of the guests, there was only a smile on her face. She greeted every guest with warm and polite words. Those from wealthy families or officials’ families were led to their private rooms by her personally.

When the sun rose higher, the time for the auction had arrived. At 9 o’clock in the morning, the hall of the auction house was filled to the brim. Even the private rooms were fully booked.

As usual, the Host stepped onto the stage to share the information about the items being auctioned. For the first batch of items, most of them were vases or jade.
