Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1101: Chapter 1087: Inescapable Disaster, Kuzan’s Observations

Not sweet, it has the texture of a glass ball, Quinn already knew what it was.

That was his Rumble Ball Q3.0, the only thing on him that could have that texture, as for why he and Wolf both knew what eating a glass ball feels like, you’d have to ask them.

But that’s not the main point right now; that thing was a failed product from his research, not entirely a failure, just of low strategic value, so it wasn’t discarded.

However, he got overly happy earlier and accidentally grabbed the wrong bag.

Theoretically, this thing definitely won’t kill, but he accidentally gave it to the kids to eat, and right in front of Yamato... Quinn instantly broke into a cold sweat, reaching out to grab Miaona and Wolf, hoping to get it out of them before they swallowed it.

Quinn’s actions were ultimately a step too slow; the initial design of Rumble Ball Q3.0 was to act quickly in battle, so this kind of drug naturally couldn’t be like slow-release tablets, taking effect after some time.

Chewing and crushing it takes effect immediately; this was the initial intent when Quinn made this thing, and from what we can see, he achieved that.

”Uncle Quinn, what did you give them to eat? It’s not poisonous, is it?”

As he spoke, Yamato had already picked up Rotom, planning to notify the doctors and Arceus, as well as Zeraora and Setsuna.

This isn’t retaliation; if children eat something bad, it is a big trouble, notifying the family members, doctors, and the people in charge is normal.

”No poison, definitely no poison! You put down the phone first; few doctors at the Pokemon Center can compare to me. This thing is my manufactured and modified Rumble Ball trial product, which easily makes people irritable and aggressive; it’s considered a strong stimulant, shouldn’t be a problem...”

”Is there no antidote?”

”This isn’t a poison; who would make an antidote for something like this! Does your Navy have such strange ideas?”

It’s not like Kuzan is considered hesitant now; even if he wasn’t in the group, he wouldn’t feel hostile towards uncommissioned children, to the point he even asked two very concerning questions.

But Quinn wasn’t in the mood to explain his inquiry. He also wished there was an antidote, but Rumble Ball Q3.0 is essentially not a poison, hence there’s no antidote.

The detoxifying Berry can eliminate poisons, but it’s ineffective against this kind of stimulant drug.

”Tell me, do you two feel anything strange? If you feel discomfort, say it quickly, this is just an accident, it should be easy to remedy.”

Miaona and Wolf didn’t speak, but when they looked up again, both their eyes had turned intensely red, and they were releasing low growling sounds, with powerful electrical currents forming on their surfaces.

”No way... This thing has this effect on the Fur Race?!”

Red eyes, beastly growls, electrical currents, when these features appear on the Fur Race, there’s only one outcome - Moon Lion.

As the Fur Race’s sure win technique, Moon Lion can give the Fur Race incredibly terrifying strength, allowing them to break through their limits in a short time. Normally, the Fur Race can only enter this state through witnessing the full moon.

But now, the Fur Race already has the Moonstone, provided by Arceus, that allows them to directly go Moon Lion in their normal state.

Aside from these methods, drugs are also a way.

In the original timeline, in the battle between Law and Blackbeard, when Law was defeated, Bepo managed to enter Moon Lion during the day by consuming the drug given by Chopper.

Relying on the power of Moon Lion, Bepo was able to escape from Blackbeard with Law, although that drug had side effects, in that situation, Bepo had no other choice.

Quinn’s Rumble Ball Q3.0 and the medicine Chopper gave Bepo were different, but by sheer accident, they exerted the same effect.

Miaona and Wolf’s bodies began to undergo changes, their white fur starting to elongate, and Kuzan’s gaze towards Quinn returned to its earlier state.

[Indeed, this guy still has issues, the Fur Race’s ability actually came from this...]

The World Government and Navy have some level of shared intelligence, so Kuzan knew the Fur Race acquired the ability to turn into Moon Lion during the day, but he didn’t know how this ability came about, Quinn provided him the answer now.

He saw with his own eyes that after these two Fur Race kids consumed the candy given by Quinn, they entered Moon Lion state; Kuzan won’t believe this matter has nothing to do with Quinn.

With the friendly assistance of Arceus, Quinn had just managed to dodge the blame of the gigantic biological weapon in Kuzan’s mind, but within a minute, he pinned the blame for the Fur Race’s daytime Moon Lion onto himself.

And just like when he activated the Gift of Nature for Devil Fruit right in front of Akainu, it proved to be an inescapable huge black pot.

But Quinn wasn’t in the mood to study the pots any further.

This cannot be considered a significant discovery; the Fur Race with the Moonstone Transformation Device doesn’t need to use this kind of drug to enter Moon Lion.

Now there’s a bigger problem; if an experienced Fur Race enters Moon Lion state, it shouldn’t have much impact, but for a rookie, learning Moon Lion is a dangerous process, usually requiring someone proficient in using Moon Lion to teach hands-on.

If careless, this ability could cause serious harm to the body....

Even if Arceus can back it up, it won’t lead to a major mishap, but should this happen, he’d certainly be mobbed, even Zeraora wouldn’t arbitrate but jump into the fray herself.
