Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1111: Chapter 1096: Born From Dreams, Ended in Illusion

The purple energy is naturally Olga’s Illusion Field, similar to Law’s Op-Op Fruit’s Room, it’s a way to exert abilities.

But Zoroark’s ability isn’t just limited to being unleashed within this space; with her own Illusion Realm, Olga can manipulate the illusions more effortlessly.

”Your speed is fast, but if an attack can’t hit its target, what’s the use of speed?”

Olga’s combat strength is the weakest among the calamities; even Jack, who has just been promoted, surpasses Olga in this aspect.

In terms of raw power, Olga ranks at the bottom of the high-level officials, yet she is regarded by outsiders as the most troublesome enemy.

Absolutely real illusions cannot be discerned by ordinary Observation Haki; those unfamiliar with her abilities will be toyed with, and even those familiar with her abilities need a spacious place to effectively counter her.

Queen’s tactics are nauseating, utilizing toxins and Leech Seeds, along with an array of tools to gradually deplete the enemy’s stamina, while Olga’s abilities make her untouchable.

Against brute force types like Wald, Olga’s victory rate is far higher than Jack’s.

Especially given Wald’s current state, having lost his calm, his Observation Haki can’t function at its usual level.

Even if his Observation Haki was above standard, he might still not accurately pinpoint Olga, not to mention in his current state.

The more he behaves like this, the less he can escape Olga’s control, leading to the destruction of his beliefs through an illusory perception, followed by a vicious cycle.

Wald is an example; in his mind, he has already achieved his goal and is now laughing maniacally.

”You... you are... cough cough... the Illusory Calamity?”

”Ah, it seems my reputation now is considerable; you recognized me instantly.”

”Stop joking, cough cough, the Four Great Disasters under Kaidou, you have long been well-known...”

Bingjack has continuously updated information over the years, being sufficiently aware of external pirates—the Four Generals, Four Disasters, Whitebeard’s remnants, Red Hair’s officials, Seven Warlords of the Sea under the World Government.

These are the first-tier pirates under the Sea Emperors and the Great Pirates that Bingjack keeps firmly in mind.

”Sister Olga, sorry, but I’ll need you to step in and clear the mess.”

”It’s nothing, I remember Captain Kaidou had a tough time dealing with Wald too, but Aunt Nightin, your captain isn’t that great; seems like just a madman to me.”

Olga didn’t take Hancock’s apology to heart, but instead spoke directly about Wald’s problem; Wald was already trapped in an Illusion Realm by her, and given her control over the illusions, Wald couldn’t escape anytime soon.

To be precise, he hasn’t even realized that he’s already in an illusion.

Speaking ill of the captain in front of other members isn’t a good deed; if it were on normal days, this comment could spark conflict, but Bingjack and Nightin said nothing, as they had seen Wald’s frenzy earlier.

He not only targeted Nightin but even included his older brother in his attack range.

”These thirty years haven’t been worthwhile at all; why not come back with me? That old fool still has things to tell you.”

”I...”

”Nightin, leave it be; the current Wald... cough cough... isn’t the same Wald from the past. Thirty years of waiting...

Now you have a better place to belong, perhaps that’s where you truly fit.”

Bingjack, slumped on the ground, didn’t dissuade Nightin but rather advised her to join other forces; even though Wald is Bingjack’s brother, Bingjack felt disappointed with him at this moment.

”Wait, no, if Aunt Nightin leaves like this, she’ll be labeled a traitor; even if she’s leaving, it should be straightforward.

Honestly, I just tampered with the cannon; letting him destroy endlessly isn’t feasible. I’m planning to use an illusion to make him understand what really happened. Do you have anything you want me to relay together?”

Although Nightin hadn’t made a decision yet, Olga wanted to clear up the misunderstanding first; she didn’t want to take Nightin back through ”deception.”

Deceiving is a tactic against enemies; for potential family, she prefers sincerity.

Having misunderstood Asie for over a hundred years, Olga deeply understood how hurtful misunderstandings were. If things aren’t clarified, it becomes a lingering shadow over one’s lifetime, thus she proposed this suggestion.

Now her manipulation of illusions is more potent, entirely capable of playing a movie in someone else’s mind.

”I... I don’t know what to say to Captain Wald...”

It’s no fault of Olga for wrecking the cannon, as it didn’t interfere with Wald’s and Hancock’s battle, and Bingjack and others never agreed with Wald’s reckless actions.

It’s just because he insisted on doing this, they accompanied him in madness.

Wald believes she’s a traitor and mercilessly attacks, which has greatly hurt Nightin; Nightin is currently at a loss as to what to say.

If Wald trusted her, this situation wouldn’t have arisen; the cannon’s damage was merely a trigger, as Wald had already lost trust in them long ago.

”Cough cough... let me speak about this matter... cough cough, the Wald from before... wasn’t like this.”

Bingjack’s thoughts drifted back to decades ago, when he was still young, without so much beard on his chin. However, his body was still in bad condition, unlike Wald, whose health was inherently poor.

”Wald, you must set sail someday. This vast sea connects various countries and islands we’ve never seen. At the endless horizon, there must be adventures beyond imagination waiting for you.”

”Brother, aren’t you going?”

”Cough, cough, my health has been like this since childhood. It’s not very realistic.”

”Then I too...”

”Do you want to spend your whole life nestled on this small island? Cough... The future of this island is predictable. You should venture out, see the world, and thrive—go further in my place.”

”Brother, I want to travel the world with you. I’ll protect you as we journey together!”

”Back then... cough, cough, our dream was to travel the world; it was supposed to be just an ordinary journey around the world for us.

Years later, Wald grew up, built a small boat, and left the island with me. But we underestimated this sea...”

Their small boat soon encountered a shipwreck. Drifting to another island, they encountered a group of pirates, and for survival, Wald fought his first battle with enemies.

During that battle, he seemed to find joy in combat.

Under the banner of the Byrnndi brothers, they made the name Wald Pirates known, but in this process, their initial intentions changed.

”Our goal was freedom, but in pursuing freedom, we gradually became pirates..cough.. Wether it was Navy or World Government ships, Wald defeated them all. The title of World Breaker was placed upon us.

This ship, the Gulasadi, was our original pursuit. I thought by sailing underwater, we could avoid unnecessary battles and continue our world journey.

But Wald... cough, cough, cough...”

Bingjack spoke too many words at once, causing him to cough uncontrollably, leaning back on the machine behind him to catch his breath.

It was an old ailment, and Nightin couldn’t do much, so she picked up the conversation he hadn’t finished.

”Captain Wald believes that a cannon combined with the Double-Double Fruit would cause enemies to retreat in fear, but looking back, he had already changed..”

While Bingjack and Nightin were recounting the past, a chair appeared beneath Olga, with Hancock massaging her shoulders from behind, a stark contrast to her previous demeanor.

”Where did this chair come from...”

”It’s an illusion; though fake, I can trick my brain into thinking I’m sitting, which mentally prevents fatigue.

But the physical toll is real. Sitting too long feels like practicing horse stance.”

Laziness can spur progress; this trick was a training method Olga devised in her youth, exercising abilities while honing one’s body, albeit at the risk of potential muscle injury.

”I think I understand. So, do you believe Wald was a good man?”

”No, walking this path means we’re unworthy of such a term; we can only say... cough, cough, he once was a good man and a trustworthy captain, if not for that incident...”

”Forget it, it doesn’t matter. Anyway, the conflict arose from your ’abandonment’ back then; just recreate it once more.”

...

In Wald’s perception, the surrounding world suddenly shattered like a mirror, and he returned to the ship thirty years ago, with the deck littered with corpses, surrounded by navy ships, while several CP members were attacking another Wald.

No matter how he tried, he couldn’t see the faces of others clearly. This was the Illusion Realm created by Olga based on Nightin and Bingjack’s descriptions; unable to see faces because no one remembered what those extras looked like.

Moreover, this wasn’t the focus; Bingjack reluctantly issuing escape orders reappeared in Wald’s view.

”Damn it... Doubling Hundred Times Shotgun!”

Wald grabbed a piece of wood chip from the deck and threw it forward, targeting not just Navy and CP, but even Bingjack and others trying to escape fell within his attack range.

With Wald’s attack, the Illusion Realm shattered once again, and Olga replaced the scene in front of Wald.

”So ruthless... now you’ve seen it, this is what your crew went through back then. Also, I was the one who broke that cannon. Nightin waited for you for thirty years, for which she declined an invitation from a stronger pirate crew.”

”So what? I knew about that long ago; I didn’t lose consciousness back then. I can’t let go, until I bring all this back in retribution, my heart won’t settle!

Do you think showing me again will make me forget all this?! Everything from thirty years ago is as clear as day to me!”

Wald swung his fist toward Olga, feeling genuine impact, even blood splattering, yet Olga appeared unharmed on the other side.

”Don’t misunderstand. I never wished for you to forget anything, simply explaining some matters for Aunt Nightin and simultaneously giving you a chance.

But it seems you haven’t seized this opportunity.”
