Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1108: Chapter 1093: Indirect Liability Relationship

”Captain Buggy, what should we do now?”

”Yeah, those women don’t know your name. We might as well take them out along with Wald!”

”!!”

When it comes to finding the most fearless crew on the sea, Buggy’s crew would definitely make the list. Not because of their strength, but because of their mysterious confidence in Buggy.

In their hearts, Buggy is the legendary figure who punches admirals and kicks emperors, unmatched on the oceans. Unlike those who see him as the only stain on Roger’s ship, to these pirates, Buggy is the one true god.

With the end of the Paramount War, this misunderstanding didn’t clear up by chance; Instead, it deepened with Buggy’s increasingly quirky thoughts.

Back then, they dared to believe that Buggy wanted to take Whitebeard’s head. They saw Buggy declaring war on a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea as a trivial matter.

But Buggy didn’t see it that way. During the Paramount War, others fought to the death, while Buggy was recognizing the world.

Back then, every one of the Seven Warlords was a monster, even Moriah, who became a recluse due to a huge mental blow, wasn’t someone Buggy could deal with. Especially Boa Hancock, who indiscriminately attacked on the battlefield.

Whether pirate or Navy, both were her targets. Buggy didn’t want to be kicked and turned into a stone statue.

”This... uh... it’s not that simple. First, we need to...”

Buggy racked his brains for a reason to fool his crew, but as a qualified mind-reader, the first thing to do was not to make the boss feel embarrassed. Before Buggy spoke, someone had already thought up a reason for him.

”Fools! Lord Buggy still needs the Seven Warlords status, so how can he fight against the Seven Warlords now? That would affect Lord Buggy’s future plans! Right, Lord Buggy?”

”Ah... yes, that’s right. Anyway, stealthily follow along, this great captain has a plan.”

Moved by his crew’s mysterious devotion, Buggy’s ship also sailed toward the direction of Nine Serpent Island, and during this process, Mr. 3 came to Buggy’s side.

”I say, Buggy, what exactly is your plan?”

”How would I know?”

”What did you say?!”

”Calm down, calm down, Mr. 3, when the ship reaches the shore, everything will work out. There’s always a way.”

”You mean when the ship reaches the shore, it will sink...”

...

Whether it’s Buggy or Wald, there’s still a distance between them and Nine Serpent Island.

As for the Nine Serpents, they rejected Buggy’s ”kindness,” but Buggy’s words still had some effect.

”Wald, Gloriosa, isn’t this name familiar?”

”Of course it’s familiar! You were summoned by the World Government to deal with him before! But you didn’t even look and just tossed the bat-transmitted letter!!

Snake Princess, you are the queen of Amazon Lily, this kind of thing shouldn’t be handled so capriciously...”

”Enough, I only asked casually, no need for such an explanation.”

Gloriosa’s words weren’t taken to heart by Hancock. Even the citizens of Nine Serpent weren’t surprised by this kind of thing; they were already accustomed to Hancock’s attitude.

Even if Gloriosa thought this wasn’t an attitude a queen should have, due to Hancock’s own strength, she could only assist on the side, coming up with strategies for Hancock.

”Wald, wasn’t that Aunt Nightin’s pirate crew? Aunt Nightin waited for Wald for thirty years, did he do anything?”

”Gloriosa, I suddenly became interested in this matter, could you give me more details?”

Olga’s words instantly changed Hancock’s attitude, and Gloriosa’s hand helplessly rested on her forehead once again, already used to such things.

Only during Olga’s visits to Nine Serpent for vacations would Hancock show her gentle side.

”Attacking the World Nobility, attacking the Navy, attacking pirates. Ever since Wald escaped prison and began his activities, everything became his target on the sea.

That’s why back then, he made pirates feel panicked. If I remember correctly, some pirates even planned to join hands with the Navy to take down Wald, but eventually, it was inconclusive.”

”True, because he was defeated by Captain Kaidou at the time, and then seemed to have been imprisoned.

Thirty years have passed. Time flies indeed.”

”Yeah, I was still young and vibrant back then...”

Gloriosa suddenly reminisced about the past, and Olga could unexpectedly chime in on this aspect, which made Hancock feel a bit overwhelmed.

”Wait, Sister Olga, thirty years ago... were you already participating in the Hundred Beasts?”

”Didn’t I tell you? I’m actually an elder.”

”Then how old are you really now?”

Olga’s appearance and growth rate easily make people forget her true age. Even Hancock hadn’t delved into this issue before, but now she suddenly became curious.

”This year... 205 years old, right? Soon it will be 206 years old, if my calculations aren’t wrong.”

Olga’s own experiences made her begin to ignore the passage of time, after all, just looking at individual cases, not even the Giant Race could match her.

”205... Olga sister, you’re joking again.”

This is even older than Hancock’s great-grandmother; considering that, Gloriosa would have to call Olga ’granny.’

Age is not an issue Hancock is concerned with; she knows Olga’s age is much greater than it appears. Yet, if the gap is this wide, she still finds it frustrating.

Due to Olga’s mischievous habit of frequently joking, her truth wasn’t so easily believed.

Ultimately, Hancock took Olga’s answer as a perfunctory way for Olga not to reveal her true age; it’s quite normal for women to keep their age a secret.

Centered around Wald, they chatted about some other things.

But not long after, the sudden sound of explosive roaring reached their ears, even the curtains of the Nine Serpent palace danced from the impact of the explosive airwaves.

”Snake Princess! It’s... it’s an island! An island suddenly appeared in our vicinity and bombarded the sea beside it!!”

”Boa Hancock! You World Government lapdog, if you don’t come out now, the next cannonball won’t hit the sea!”

Wald’s voice was transmitted to Hancock’s ears through a megaphone, and the island seen by the Nine Serpent Warriors was indeed Wald’s ship, its size comparable to Moriah’s Thriller Bark.

Wald wanted to reach Marinfanto with Hancock alive, hence he only bombarded the sea. The destructive power of the cannon was a mystery, even the strongest could die inexplicably in the explosion.

”How did they get here?!”

Upon hearing the enemy had breached the Windless Zone to reach the Nine Serpent’s fringe, Gloriosa’s expression changed. Hancock ignored Buggy, but Gloriosa still kept those words in mind and had long arranged for others to strengthen the surrounding vigilance.

But her vigilance wasn’t effective; even the Windless Zone around Nine Serpent lost its defensive function.

”It’s underwater, Granny, the ship suddenly emerged from underwater.”

”It’s underwater, huh...”

”Alright, Granny, don’t worry about how they came anymore; leave the matters ahead to me.”

Hancock’s brows had long turned steely blue, Buggy’s purpose in calling was to give a heads-up, strictly speaking, he’s considered one of their own. Even so, he didn’t receive a friendly face, not to mention the invader Wald.

Presently, Hancock is very angry, even if leaving personal emotions aside, she’s the King of Nine Serpents. The citizens of Nine Serpents tolerate Hancock’s capriciousness greatly because her strength is enough to ensure Nine Serpents’ safety.

When Nine Serpents are attacked, it’s her responsibility to stand up.

”Wait, I’ll go with you.”

”Olga sister, this is Nine Serpents’ matter, you don’t need to get involved.”

”No, I have some personal business, and... it can’t be said that this matter has nothing to do with us at all.”

”Why do you say that?”

”Well... if I recall correctly, that main cannon on his ship was sold by us. Wald himself isn’t really normal; that cannon along with his Fruit Ability could accidentally cause trouble.”

Hundred Beasts were merely arms sellers. Where the sold items would be used, they didn’t know; sometimes even weapons sold could be used to attack their own.

To address such situations, specially made powerful weapons of Hundred Beasts had secret mechanisms left intentionally, only known to cadres of Hundred Beasts.

Olga was quite aware of that cannon’s power; she just wanted to prevent any incident, and she’s also worried about Nightin’s affair, hence she wanted to go out with Hancock.

”Is that so? I understand, Mary, Sandersonia, take the warriors and prepare to deal with other enemies.

Granny, lead the ordinary citizens to take refuge.”

Facing imminent warfare, Hancock demonstrated the majesty belonging to a king, assigning tasks and taking the lead to move toward the outside.

The ordinary citizens Hancock mentioned referred to the infirm and elderly, Nine Serpents was a combat-oriented nation, people born here are raised as warriors from the day they are born, similar to the Fur Race, a true land of militarization.

....

After receiving the news, Hancock rushed toward the direction of the sound, but Wald was growing impatient.

”Begin another round of shelling, this time directly aim at the island.”

Such a large battleship obviously had more than one cannon; Wald presently didn’t plan to use the main cannon, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t use other weapons.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Firelight flashed across Wald’s ship, a swarm of intensive cannonballs flew toward the direction of Nine Serpents like raindrops.

”Prisoner’s Arrow!”

Before the cannonballs could land, dense pink arrows streaked across the sky, outnumbering the cannonballs, hitting them one after another, losing their momentum transforming into heavy stone balls and plummeting into The Sea.

”A power user? Finally arrived, huh...”
