Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1104: Chapter 1089: Born Fur Race Warrior, the ”Resurrected” Wald

”This is quite a mistake! But what’s stranger is that four hours have passed, and she hasn’t come knocking yet. Zeraora hasn’t said anything either; that’s the most troublesome part.”

Queen didn’t realize his actions were noted in a little book, waiting for a suitable moment for reckoning later.

”Speaking of which, Uncle Queen, let’s temporarily team up. I won’t hold against you for trying to go down with me previously.”

”Wait a minute, what do you mean by ’won’t hold against?!’ Isn’t this matter settled yet?!”

Queen keenly noticed the key point, seeing Yamato’s implication that the issue wasn’t over yet.

”Cough cough, don’t mind such details. Seeing Dad like that, my Stand plan might fail. You wouldn’t want to be taken for increasingly intense training by Father, right?”

”Certainly not, but Miss Yamato, you seem to have forgotten one thing; Kaidou has always paid more attention to you, especially over these years.

As long as you’re around, I’m theoretically safe.”

”But I can go out freely; I could run away for six months, and I doubt Father could find me consistently. Have you thought about what you’d face during those six months?”

Queen and Yamato were both grabbing each other’s weaknesses. After a bout of debate, they finally formed a temporary alliance against Kaidou’s persecution, although considering their scheming before the alliance, they were both prepared to betray each other anytime.

While they plotted future plans, Kuzan came to the banquet hall’s bar and started drinking alone. Even temporarily joining them, he didn’t immediately intend to mingle with these pirates.

On the contrary, his pet and mount, Camel, had already integrated into Ghost Island.

In Ghost Island’s kitchen, Camel was showcasing its prowess. Although not as large as Emboar or Tyranitar, it was transformed into a medium-sized Pokemon with Empoleon traits, making it feel less crowded in the kitchen.

With a toss, a tuna was thrown into the air, falling back down, having been sliced into sashimi by Camel’s sharp wings.

Clap, clap, clap.

A burst of applause arose, as the muscular men in the kitchen cheered for Camel’s moves. This wasn’t a conventional kitchen but a fitness kitchen for muscle men and Machamp fanatics on Ghost Island.

Amidst these muscular men, Camel seemed to have found a new purpose, much happier here compared to traveling with Kuzan.

Although Kuzan didn’t intentionally integrate into this group, he couldn’t escape from pirates offering him drinks. Regardless of whether he was a former Admiral, since Kaidou claimed him as one of his own, the Hundred Beasts pirates categorically believed in Kaidou.

After several rounds, Kuzan couldn’t keep rejecting them; he was forced until he was drunk.

The next day, after sobering up, Kuzan started exploring Wano Kuni, observing what he could, while Queen monitored him from the surveillance room, fearing he’d cause a stir.

Setsuna was regularly working on Zou, but Pedro arrived at Ghost Island earlier than expected. The elephant had moved to a position very close to Wano Kuni, and upon receiving the news, Pedro returned to Ghost Island directly via a Corviknight taxi.

With him came four sets of Moonstone belts, essential tools for newcomers in Zou to master the Moon Lion transformation.

Compared to the past when training opportunities came only one day a month, now Zou had ample time for teaching the Moon Lion technique.

...

”The Duke should’ve told you all. From today onwards, I’ll help you master the Moon Lion form; get ready, I’ll be very strict.

The process of learning the Moon Lion is serious. Even if you’re the Duke’s children, it won’t cut it if not done properly; this skill can lead to demise if misused instead of being a reinforcer.

You should’ve seen this too, a transformation device made from Moonstone provided by Lord Arceus. Wear it well; once you press this button, Moonstone touches the body, completing the transformation.”

Pedro picked a belt and wore it, gesturing a few times but not actually pressing the button.

”This action is simple; next...”

”Like this, Pedro Brother?”

Carrot had already pressed the switch prematurely. As the Moonstone’s energy affected her body, Carrot’s form grew taller. Her short, golden hair instantaneously turned into snow-white long hair, and her tiny rabbit tail started to fluff and lengthen.

Accompanied by the crackling sound of electricity, Carrot felt a sensation of tearing pain, along with a sudden surge of power, forcing her to kneel down.

”Idiot! I didn’t tell you to press it now! Look here; if you take the Moon Lion form without training, you’ll become this. You’ll turn into a beast only capable of slaughtering.”

Taking out the bell Zeraora had prepared for him, Pedro was about to call Carrot back from this state when her actions made him stop.

”Pedro Brother, I don’t seem as bad as you say.”

”First time transforming but maintaining consciousness? Carrot, seems like you’re a born warrior.”

To Fur races, staying conscious during first conversion to Moon Lion is not easy; those capable of such feats are outstanding warriors.

Seeing his student so competent, Pedro adjusted his plans, indicating he could teach more based on the current situation.

”Carrot, keep it up, let me see your limit. Bepo, you’re next, don’t get beaten by a little girl.”

...

”Lord Arceus, sorry to interrupt, here’s today’s intelligence report for you to review.”

While Pedro trained several youngsters, a person who seemed like a child entered Arceus’s office. His name was Bao Huang, Kaidou’s secretary. During Shaina’s absence, he had taken over the administrative work here.

”If there’s anything important, you can tell me directly.”

”As you command, there’s nothing major except former Navy Admiral Kuzan joining us and Byrnndi Wald’s ’resurrection.’

”Wald? What did that guy do?”

”According to solid intelligence, Byrnndi Wald attacked the Heavenly Celestial Dragon while they were traveling days ago, sinking three battleships and World Government’s vessels. Unfortunately, the Navy saved that Celestial Dragon with their lives.

Now, the World Government is recruiting Seven Warlords of the Sea, seemingly intending to eliminate him.

This is somewhat strange; customarily, such matters should involve the Navy Admiral, but for unknown reasons, the current Three Great Admirals aren’t taking action...”
