Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1141: Chapter 1126: Rotom Hakken Edition, Queen Capital Edition

There will never be a shortage of fun-loving pirates, who keep track of their companions’ embarrassing moments for casual conversation, and if one of them tragically dies, the incident generally becomes a way to remember them.

[Remember that who-who-whatever? That guy almost got electrocuted by Ampharos back then, it’s a pity he wasn’t around after that battle...]

Topics like this keep popping up, and of course, most of these amusing incidents are treated as amusing post-drinking stories, even quite a few of the officers have made the list.

Sasaki being flipped by Aggron, Queen being backstabbed by Omastar, Queen accidentally getting poisoned by Galar Weezing, Queen being bitten by Toxapex unexpectedly.

As for why it’s always Queen...

Though the unluckiest was the pirate hugged by the affection of Kuma’s bear, the highest number was always Queen, with other officers just being old records from when they first joined, while Queen kept updating the record content.

In a way, Queen wanted to eliminate this record, but the one making this record wasn’t even human; it was Rotom, with its Ghost Type attribute, they indulge in a bit of dark humor, taking advantage of their role monitoring Wano Kuni to leave this record post.

Since it didn’t cause any substantial harm, Arceus didn’t bother with them, but the Rotoms themselves set up a gossip section in the Rotom Phone, filled with similar messages.

Even Queen eventually accepted it, realizing that the section could indirectly increase his popularity.

”This is quite a thorough injury, but it’s not a big problem, let me handle it.”

Touching the other’s arm, Nightin carefully adjusted the bone position, accompanied by a series of screams and cracking sounds, the dislocated arms were put back in place by her.

”Alright, go to the Pokemon Center for an X-ray, your bones aren’t broken for sure, but whether there’s a fracture is uncertain, drink more milk recently to strengthen them.”

In a few moves, Nightin made her diagnosis, then found an instrument to begin testing her new form.

”Claws can enhance destruction, and this ability... really convenient.”

Nightin’s fist hit the target from a certain distance, her arm extended at the moment of punching.

Breloom is naturally a speed striker; though Breloom is a Pokemon living in warm and humid forests or grasslands, feeding on plants, it possesses considerable combat power.

With a body somewhat similar to mushrooms and fungi, it’s very light, approaching enemies with a nimble gait, Breloom strikes with rapid combos, and its arms can extend suddenly in battle, giving opponents a surprise attack.

You could say Luffy’s rubber Gatling gun has to call this a knock-off.

However, Breloom can only extend its arms, it doesn’t have the bullet-rebounding ability.

Though capable of Synthesis, it can’t become the Sun God.

”My body feels much lighter, my jumping ability has also increased, and this tail... looks like I’ll need to change my fighting style.”

Chinese Herbal Fist is Nightin’s combat foundation, which won’t lose effectiveness due to a change in form; as long as she’s familiar with this form, she can even extend more tactics.

The extra tail is also a change; a freely controllable tail can produce miraculous effects in battle, and Breloom’s tail not only causes physical damage.

Seeing the powder scattered after swinging the tail, Nightin caught it in her hand, intending to go analyze its specific effects.

”Asie, I’m going to the laboratory, want to come along?”

”Ah, no, I’ll tidy up your room instead, it’s been a while since you’ve been back, inside must be gathering dust.”

Just now in Arceus’s office, Asie spoke with some confidence, there are quite a few people here, but they’re all exercising or sparring, a few meters around them constitute a special no-man’s land.

In this environment, Asie became timid again, quickly turned back to the living quarters.

Nightin didn’t immediately follow; she needed to first get acquainted with this new ability, anyway there’s plenty of time ahead, and seeing Asie’s demeanor, he needs to adjust for a while.

Moreover, Nightin needs to register some things, reapply for her permissions on Ghost Island.

...

A familiar laboratory, a familiar metal door, but Nightin now no longer has permission for this door.

Updating the records takes some time, it’s fine elsewhere, Rotoms will quickly complete information exchange in electronic networks, except for the laboratory, which is an exception.

Lab’s permission is owned by Queen, with the strictest security, and information updating is the slowest.

Though there are Rotom devices, Rotom’s intelligent measures are to prevent the defense measures here from accidentally harming their own people, but updating information must be done by Queen himself, this privilege is one he requested from Kaidou and Arceus, believing he’s the most reliable in terms of safeguarding life.

Looking at the doorbell on the door, Nightin didn’t press it. No matter how outrageously Queen modified the door, it was no surprise. Who knew if he might have twistedly altered the doorbell, so Nightin just waved at the camera.

Soon, the door opened, and Queen appeared there as well.

”Long time no see. Just in time, I need help with an experiment. You’re better than I am at analyzing and proportioning herbs.”

Queen’s recent project was the Rumble Ball Q5.0 Plan. The versions before 4.0 had also been declared failures.

Although Queen eliminated the berserk factor from the drug, he overdid it.

Ultimately, Rumble Ball Q4.0 turned into a throat lozenge, and it was already listed as a new product on Hundred Beasts Fruit’s sales channels.

The return of Nightin was just in time for him.

”I don’t really have any issues, but I’d like to analyze these powders first. The ability granted by Lord Arceus is indeed miraculous.”

”Mwahahaha, of course it is. This is something only insiders can experience. Asie spent a lot this time, you know how to use the lab equipment, so do as you see fit. I’m going to check when that kid Hawkins comes back.”

To get Hawkins back quickly, Queen even specifically applied for Fatty Express’s delivery service. By rights, he should be back soon. He’s planning to check first since that mysterious black card had seriously unnerved him.

After Queen left, Nightin re-entered this familiar lab. With its silvery-white metal walls and highly technological instruments, the lab, built at great expense, rivaled any top-notch lab on The Sea.

After placing the powder into a special instrument, Nightin figured out what it actually was. It was none other than a kind of special toxic spore.

Breloom was essentially a mushroom Pokemon, no different from mushrooms before its evolution. Although it naturally didn’t have a Poison Attribute, it’s not uncommon for Grass-type Pokemon to have some toxic skills, and Breloom was one of them.

What looked like a tail hammer at its tail was actually not resilient, having a hardness similar to that of a common plant’s seed shell. This was formed during evolution as the toxic spores hardened.

The fruit’s exterior was just a disguise, and although it wasn’t fatally toxic inside, eating it still led to no good end, making one experience vomiting and diarrhea instantly.

The holes on its cap and the hammer-like object on its tail could spread spores during battle. These spores, when inhaled into the lungs, caused tremendous pain, while ingestion led to severe diarrhea.

Once paralysis set in from this effect, Breloom would have a better chance to launch a sneak attack. Just like the natural world’s Pokemon, it adhered to the survival of the fittest, and it certainly wouldn’t show mercy for survival.

”Looks like the battle strategy still needs some changes... and we should also try the effect of Poison Heal. There are plenty of herbs here, let’s mix some medicine and test it.”

The lab had ample drugs left by both Nightin from his previous cultivations and Queen to improve Rumble Ball.

For Nightin, this was a well-stocked material library.

...

While Nightin was still conducting experiments, Queen was on the rooftop of Ghost Island, calculating the time. Within the territories directly under the jurisdiction of Hundred Beasts, with Wano Kuni as the center, Fatty Express had a reputation for next-day delivery. Not even the weather of New World could hinder their steps.

Outside the territory, however, it slowed down a lot, as there were still many troubles on The Sea.

Soon enough, a Dragonite descended from the clouds, landing steadily in front of Queen. On its back was Hawkins, whose hair looked like a broom due to the wind.

Queen had requested express delivery, and after Dragonite had located Hawkins, it returned at an extremely fast pace. Hawkins’ hair was evidence of this.

On normal days, Hawkins took a long time to groom his long hair to keep it smooth. Now that Dragonite had stopped, his long hair still stood up like antennas, showing what kind of ordeal he had been through on the way.

”Lord Queen, I’m back. Is there something you need?”

Without bothering to fix his hair, Hawkins directly asked Queen the reason. Although his promotion speed along with Apoo wasn’t fast, their status wasn’t low, all due to Queen. If Queen ever deemed them useful no more, their future path would certainly become tough.

”Nothing major. Recalculate in front of me once more. That black card earlier made me uneasy. I tell you, previously...”

Before Hawkins began divination again, Queen recounted what had happened, then suddenly remembered something, patting Hawkins on the shoulder with a big hand.

”Boy, work hard, and I guarantee you’ll be rewarded, but you know many of my secrets. If I ever find out you leaked any of them, you’d better watch your head.”

While promising this, Queen also threatened Hawkins subtly. As for why only Hawkins was threatened...

The other possibly informed people include only a few: Setsuna, King, Shaina, Yamato, and Kaidou, and it would increasingly be troublesome later on, none of whom he could afford to mess with.

”I understand, Lord Queen. Please wait a moment.”

The Tarot cards appeared in his hands as Hawkins began his familiar divination, and soon he saw an extremely bizarre divination scene...
