Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1129: Chapter 1114: Aeghede Observation Experiment

”Ah, what a bother, I knew it might be Borsalino guarding here, this makes things difficult for me...”

Kuzan doesn’t want to stop Kizaru, but he can’t hold back Kizaru who is determined to retreat; the Glint-Glint Fruit provides great advantages in flight and speed.

Based on Kuzan’s understanding of the Navy, Sakazuki has become the Marshal, and it’s impossible for him to be stationed here on purpose.

Before he left the Navy, Borsalino was also reassigned from here due to mission reasons, and in Kuzan’s view, if Aeghede is guarded by someone, it would be a one-in-three choice.

Although he isn’t sure about Fujitora and Ryokugyu’s abilities, as long as it’s not Kizaru, he can complete his current mission. However, reality tells him he drew the worst card.

Watching Kizaru depart, Kuzan could only choose to pursue him.

Kuzan can’t perform long-duration flights, but short sprints are no problem.

Meanwhile, when Kizaru couldn’t get through the phone, Lilith encountered the same situation. Kuzan and Borsalino are uninterested in her, and she also wants to inform the main body over there about the situation.

Yet even the communications on her robot were completely interrupted. Unseen by Lilith and Borsalino, a large amount of electromagnetic waves had already disrupted external communication signals; now she is within a special magnetic field.

The magnetic field didn’t occur spontaneously; the source of all this is Zeraora.

”Mission accomplished, the signal on this island has been isolated by me, as well as the nearby sea areas, Radio Snail transmissions cannot get out.”

”This range... is your power supply keeping up with the consumption?”

”Don’t underestimate me, I can keep this up for three days and nights, and electromagnetic waves consume very little energy. Does the radar show anything?”

”Right ahead, Asie’s invention succeeded; the Sacred Beast Lord will be very pleased.”

On the streets of Aeghede, Shaina and Zeraora faced no obstacles, and the robots on the streets continued to transport goods according to their original programming, while the few researchers had already hidden themselves.

”This island is quite interesting, considerably more advanced than Queen’s technology.”

A phantom passed through their bodies; it was a holographic projection generated by the holographic projector Vegapunk created, using this machine he made Aeghede into a fairy tale world that only exists in picture books.

However, Shaina was completely uninterested in this.

”Birds of a feather, nothing good among them; he better pray he doesn’t fall into my hands.”

Back then it wasn’t just Queen at the research institute; Vegapunk was the leading figure. Shaina and King hadn’t completely calmed down after beating Queen for so many years, let alone an unrelated Vegapunk.

Genius scientist, world leader, none of this matters to them; their relationship with Vegapunk is not a good one for the remnant Lunarians.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Boom!

Two sharp sounds of something breaking through the air rang out, and penetrating lasers brushed past the two and hit the buildings at the back.

”Kizaru? They’re all Admirals, and how watered-down is Kuzan as a former Admiral.... alright, I wronged him.”

Within the smoke, two robots greatly resembling Bartholomew Kuma emerged, except these two Kuma were dressed like police officers.

Currently, their hands are aimed in the direction of Zeraora and Shaina.

This is Vegapunk’s version of the Peacekeeper; as the developer of Peacekeepers, Aeghede naturally has the same equipment, and they are even more intelligent than the Navy’s version.

This is the island’s defense mechanism; once intruders are confirmed, the island’s Peacekeepers initiate action.

But this level of defense is meaningless.

The Peacekeeper’s attack comes from research into Kizaru’s Bloodline Factor, but their attack frequency is unknown to be many times slower than Kizaru, and during the Peacekeepers’ time to re-aim, Zeraora was already beside them.

Electric current gathered on his arm, and with a swipe of two claw blades, the Peacekeepers’ arms raised high were sliced off and fell to the ground.

Before the Peacekeepers had any chance to react, Zeraora stomped in the air, and along with the rumbling sound of thunder, consecutively kicked the Peacekeeper’s head.

Haki shattered the Peacekeeper’s shell, terrifying lightning surged through the Peacekeepers’ bodies via the circuitry.

Boom!

The Peacekeepers couldn’t respond in any way; they aren’t living beings, and their heads aren’t a fatal weakness, but with the influx of current, their bodies began to emit black smoke, and eventually overloaded and exploded directly.

The massive body turned into a huge bomb; after the explosion, the fragments hurled around, and eventually embedded into the surrounding buildings.

The nearby holographic projection device seemed to be affected, flickered a few times, and then disconnected.

”Guard One and Guard Two are completely damaged, lasting less than a minute; no need to continue testing. Inform Sentomaru, it’s time to try those new things.”

In a laboratory, 03 Vegapunk, representing the mind, Edison had been monitoring the combat footage the entire time; currently, he’s not satisfied with the island’s defense.

”Pythagoras, has communication been restored?”

Edison turned to Pythagoras who was busy with mechanics and voiced his query.

”Internal communications are mostly restored, but there’s an invisible barrier surrounding here, likely akin to a magnetic field, signals can’t go out, and external signals can’t come in.”

Pythagoras looked at the instrument before him and made his judgment.

”What’s Lilith’s status?”

”She’s within the magnetic field region; if she were to leave or enter, communications could occur, but the equipment on that robot can’t detect magnetic fields, she doesn’t know the range, only to gamble on luck.”

”That’s fine, oh, let’s also test the island’s escape devices, staying here is too dangerous. You take care of this; I suddenly have a new inspiration that I must record.”

Edison seemed to think of something and passed all these tasks to Pythagoras.

”Alright, remember to command the operation later; you’re more familiar with this aspect.”

”I will do so promptly.”

...

Elsewhere, having received orders, Sentomaru also grabbed his axe and stepped out of the room.

”Let’s go, S-Serpent, S-Hawk.”

Behind Sentomaru, two childlike figures followed him out of the room.

Their appearance is almost identical to when Hawkeye and Boa Hancock were younger, the biggest difference being their dark skin, with black wings and burning flames on their backs, resembling Lunarians in every way...
