Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1100: Chapter 1086: Empoleon and the Blame of Conservation_2

If Kuzan is an undercover agent, if this news gets out, he might not have to be constantly targeted as a key figure anymore.

Fame is good, but one needs to be alive to enjoy it. In general, Queen naturally supports this behavior.

”The person was brought back by Yamato, so you can rest easier now, right?”

”Master Arceus! I swear to follow you to the death!”

If it weren’t inappropriate, he would have choreographed a dance on the spot to express his admiration. Compared to the betrayal brought by Yamato, Arceus genuinely lifted him up.

”There’s no need to be so moved; there were other motives anyway, this was just incidental.”

”No, no, no, what you did is already more than enough...”

At this moment, Queen reinterpreted Hawkins’ words, the joy in this mixed blessing was more than he anticipated.

And Arceus started to work on modifying the camel as he had mentioned, exonerating Queen was just one aspect, and whether it could be done was another question.

Sometimes, the truth is difficult to accept; the terrifying reputation of a ”genius scientist” is nothing compared to an actual deity.

Within the World Government, there have always been people who believed Queen was just a scapegoat, but more people simply didn’t want to accept it.

Turning this penguin into an experiment was just a trial. If without major changes, the outside world’s attention towards Queen starts to wane, then there’s a chance Kuzan has leaked the news.

As for how much actually got out and whether the World Government pretends not to know, continuing to treat Queen as a key target, that depends on how much intelligence Omastar can dig up.

Additionally, the modified penguin also acts as a warning device; beasts transformed by Arceus instinctively submit to him, the creator’s aura becomes their undisputed leader.

This also provides timely feedback on Kuzan’s actions outside, since, according to Yamato, Kuzan relies on this penguin more than his bicycle.

Faced with the inclusion of Ryokugyu and Fujitora, the Navy directly provided them with Admiral positions, elevating them to the Navy’s top ranks.

So this counts as a small perk for Kuzan, but the rules of the Hundred Beasts won’t change; to claim power, one must have accomplishments that speak for themselves—even a former Navy Admiral is no exception.

Since he was not nurtured from childhood as an internal cadre, transforming an animal is different.

The camel is essentially a penguin; its overall physique hasn’t changed.

However, its originally elongated beak began to shorten, extending upwards towards the face, gradually forming a golden crown.

Its previously small wings began to grow larger and longer, with three short claws appearing on the front inside edge, making it easier to grasp objects.

Blue markings appeared in the center of its body and along the edges of its wings, and collar-like feathers protruded from both sides of its neck, turning its tail blue.

The Three Starter of the Sinnoh Region, Water + Steel type Emperor Pokemon - Empoleon.

Due to its Steel Attribute, Empoleon’s wing edges are extremely sharp, easily cutting through ice layers and ice floes, facilitating its movement across the Ice Sea. Their sharpness rivals that of famed swords.

Given the camel’s physique, using a war axe or ship-cutting saber might be more fitting.

”Stop daydreaming! Your intelligence should’ve improved by now, right? Master Arceus has changed your fate and given you a new life, what do you mean by standing there like that!”

At this point, Queen was tending towards becoming a sycophant, even though he hadn’t received any results yet, but he already saw a promising future.

Compared to Kaido who occasionally drags him for extra training and Yamato who plots revenge against him, Arceus’ faction has become extremely favorable to him.

Even if he can’t shake off the blame, he accepts it because those burdens come with significant honor.

Queen said this while also taking out a mirror; as a narcissist with a love for dancing, carrying a mirror to maintain his image is quite reasonable, but looking at the camel’s expression, Queen felt something was off.

”Hey, hey! You’re just a penguin, don’t show such an expression!”

At this moment, the camel seemed to be mesmerized by itself in the mirror, repeatedly changing poses until it confirmed that it was indeed itself.

After all, Queen is a person with some integrity, but the camel is different; it directly laid on the floor and started rolling around but quickly stood up again.

This species has some strength but mostly relies on its looks, swimming around the Galapagos Islands, acting cute and attracting voluntary feeding; they’ve long grown accustomed to this lifestyle.

But the camel was different, it had always considered itself a tough soldier, but its cute appearance often brought it trouble.

Now transformed into the form of Empoleon, the camel directly underwent a makeover; at this moment, its mentality was the same as Duval who got a makeover kick from Sanji, this was a life-saving grace.

A tough face, solid wings, this is the iron-blooded penguin in its mind.

If it weren’t for maintaining its penguin stance, it might still be rolling on the ground right now.

The most direct change for native beasts transformed by Arceus’ power into Pokemon is intelligence; after calming down, it even saluted Arceus—something Kuzan taught it during their travels.

Arceus’ power itself is not mind-controlling; it does not interfere with their thought processes. As long as Kuzan doesn’t do anything bizarre, the camel is essentially the same to him as before.

”Alright, Queen, take it back.”

”I understand. Oh, right, Master Arceus, what is this species’ name?”

”Empoleon.”

”Empoleon, huh? It really is quite a handsome Pokemon, come on, camel, give your owner a little surprise.”

Queen took the camel off Ghost Island again and enjoyed some surfing on the sea.

Due to its crown structure, Empoleon is revered in the Pokemon World, with some believing this Pokemon can symbolize royalty.

In ancient Sinnoh, which is the Hisui Region, Empoleon was even called the Lord of the Waves by the Hisui residents.

Because it can race through huge waves, its speed surpasses that of water scooters.

The edges of its wings are very sharp, able to cut ice floes, rivaling weapons crafted by skilled artisans.

...

”Are you the camel?”

Kuzan rubbed his eyes looking at Empoleon in front of him; the difference from the previous camel was indeed quite stark.

”Pte~”

”Ah la la, it sure is an incredible skill, but is it okay to tell me about this? Really confident, huh.”

Kuzan thought perhaps his intuition was correct; this was just a show of strength, albeit in a different manner.

He doesn’t believe the Hundred Beasts trust him so quickly; the only possibility is that they feel, even if a former Admiral like him knows the secret, it cannot change the situation.

[But this physique..... Are the other biological weapons of the Hundred Beasts made this way? If they can control the Sea King Type... that truly would be a disaster, is this that one’s power?]

Thinking thus, Kuzan continued looking at Queen, feeling the scrutinizing gaze from Kuzan, Queen felt comfortable, and that’s when Miaona and Wolf passed by, a cheerful Queen casually pulled out a bag of round balls from his pocket.

”Take and eat, newly made Berry candies, haven’t been sold yet.”

There’s a saying called ’joy comes from sorrow’. Although Queen usually researches strange inventions, with Arceus’ rules in place, he’s quite restrained with his people. Miaona and Wolf didn’t suspect Queen and directly ate the so-called new flavor candy.

”It’s not sweet, how does it feel like a glass ball?”

”How could it be, it was made from Pecha Berry... Wait?! Glass ball?? Don’t swallow! Spit it out quickly!!”
