Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1109: Chapter 1094: Frenzy

”Give me the cannonball.”

At this time, Wald’s position was at the ”mountaintop,” which, in terms of the ship’s construction, belonged to the lookout tower. Seeing the cannonball intercepted by Hancock’s arrows, Wald knew that the main threat had arrived.

He reached out to Bingjack and subsequently received a walnut-sized pellet.

The size was no larger than a bullet, but in Wald’s hands, they could unleash a completely different power.

”Multiply! Fifty times cannon!”

With a single hand wave, the pellet swelled in mid-air like shrapnel, its speed and mass increasing fifty times over.

This ability itself also troubled the World Government. With this power, Wald could exploit even a handful of iron sand to unleash the might of a cannon barrage.

Compared to ordinary cannonballs, those launched by Wald far surpassed them in both speed and power.

Although Hancock’s arrows transformed them into stone projectiles mid-air, they did not stop but continued flying toward the inner regions of Nine Snake.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

At the same time, the sound of breaking through the air erupted, countless arrows shooting out from behind Hancock, fired by the warriors of Nine Snake.

Well-trained, they skillfully mastered Armament Haki, on arrows they produced explosive tips—a specialty of theirs.

Following Hancock’s attack, their rain of arrows formed a second line of defense, entirely intercepting Wald’s offensive.

”Empress, this is only a greeting. If you don’t want them all to die here, then obediently go over there with them!”

As soon as the words fell, a group of pirates holding chains appeared on the ship’s deck. Seeing this group, Hancock’s already fiery temper was completely ignited.

”You trespass on my territory and talk to me in such a manner, you old relic from thirty years ago, don’t be so presumptuous!”

Most of Hancock’s body techniques are centered on her legs; her inherent leap strength is extremely superior. With just a single jump, Hancock bypassed the beach gap directly onto Wald’s ship.

”Perfume Femur!”

Her long legs swept across in front of the pirates. Normally, those legs alone would make most pirates sluggish, but at this moment, what Hancock brought was a deadly crisis.

Upon contact, those pirates turned to stone due to Hancock’s powers, and this was only the beginning. If merely transformed into stone, Hancock still had the ability to revert them.

But now, she’s furious, so as she turns her enemies to stone, she simultaneously kicks them into fragments, meaning there’s no possibility of restoration.

”Kill her!”

”Wait, Wald, weren’t we going to use her as a hostage to go to Marinfanto?”

Seeing Wald suddenly change his mind, Bingjack appeared slightly flustered.

”Nailing the corpse on the deck works just the same. Get on with it!”

”Do you really think you can deal with me using such people? Do you so look down on me? It seems that being frozen for thirty years has made you completely unaware that the Seven Warlords of the Sea... are chosen based on strength, Sweet Wind!”

The pink heart-shaped light beam purged the deck of pirates, and within less than a minute, only stone statues remained.

”What, you still want to watch from there? Turns out you’re someone who can only rely on such useless folks? Seems Mother’s concerns about you were completely unnecessary.”

Hancock’s finger pointed at Wald’s head, and with a bang, Wald’s horned helmet fell off.

”Seems you’re not as useless as I imagined, did you sense my attack?”

Hancock never deliberately aimed off target for amusement; her kiss gun aimed squarely at Wald’s head. However, he perceived it with Observation Haki and dodged.

This seemed to have infuriated Wald.

”Bingjack, go activate that.”

Grabbing his brother by the shoulder, Wald tossed him back into the ship’s cabin.

”But Wald...”

”There’s no but, I’ve changed my mind. Destroying it directly is better, go activate it right now!”

”Yes...”

Bingjack knew Wald was wrong, but Wald was his brother, and even if Wald was wrong, he still chose to help him. After all, Wald initially set sail to achieve his dream.

...

”Multiply: 10 times speed!”

The Double-Double Fruit’s abilities launched, greatly enhancing Wald’s own speed, and in a flash, he was already in front of Hancock.

Hancock kicked forward but missed. Boosted by tenfold speed, Wald instantly appeared behind Hancock, his fists raised like heavy hammers swinging toward her.

”Great Perfume Femur!”

Hancock’s waist bent into a slightly exaggerated arc, dodging Wald’s attack, and taking this opportunity, she propped herself up with both hands and kicked toward Wald.

”The level of Haki’s not bad, too bad someone like you is willing to be a lackey for the World Government.”

”Someone like you shouldn’t judge me! Being frozen for thirty years has already scrambled your brain, hasn’t it?!”

Wald still had some foundation; the degree of Haki was enough to resist the stone transformation ability. Though the Double-Double Fruit only increased his speed, under absolute speed, the power would likewise be amplified.

Hancock herself isn’t a brute-force type of competitor and didn’t gain much advantage in clashing strength with Wald, while tenfold speed was far from Wald’s limit—it was merely a probing.

”Multiply: 30 times speed!”

Wald’s speed turned ghostly now; combat no longer relied on sight, Observation Haki became Hancock’s method to lock Wald’s position, the ship’s surface showing only the afterimage of Wald and Hancock’s clash.

As they fought, a mechanical roar sounded from the ship, as a giant cannon gradually revealed its true form.

”Walorelorelo, do you see this? This cannon is enough to...”

Boom!

Before Wald finished speaking, the giant cannon he pinned his hopes on emitted black smoke, with large holes appearing on its barrel—the twisted bore was no longer capable of launching cannonballs.

In a place unnoticed by Wald, Olga also tucked away the operational manual she recently received from Queen; she left Nine Snake palace with Hancock, yet no one noticed her whereabout.

In fact, her actions were faster than Hancock’s; she merely activated the trap left by Hundred Beasts on the weapon. If possible, Olga didn’t want to intervene.

Olga believed Hancock had the ability to deal with Wald, so she merely helped Hancock neutralize the weapon threatening Nine Snake’s safety. Her ability was uniquely special, Wald was completely unaware of the deliberately hidden Olga.

But looking at the cannon being destroyed, Wald’s precious bit of rationality seemed to collapse once more.

”Who, who has betrayed me again?!”
