Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1120: Chapter 1105: The Filthy World of Adults

In order to eliminate Doflamingo, Law is willing to give up many things, including his own life.

In this matter, he can do many things beyond his bottom line.

If Misu hadn’t undergone a drastic change in personality, she would never have let this happen.

Making Misu despise Caesar, or even kill Caesar, would be the best outcome. Without Caesar, Doflamingo couldn’t provide what the Hundred Beasts need. Without this gigantic entity’s support, Law’s subsequent actions would proceed more smoothly.

Even if Misu has changed, this wouldn’t expose his ultimate goal.

However, Law had thought everything through far too smoothly. If it were an outsider, they really couldn’t grasp what Law was trying to do.

But Misu is different; she knows there’s some connection between Doflamingo and the Hundred Beasts, and has constantly heard Queen reprimand Caesar as merely a useless waste. By connecting the dots, she could make certain predictions about Law’s behavior.

”Law, you’ve changed.”

”What are you saying...”

”You’ve been here longer than I have. If you were upset by these things, you could have reacted much earlier. With your ability to bring people here out of thin air, it wouldn’t be difficult for you to send these children away, right?

You didn’t know I was coming here before, but suddenly brought me here.

You’re not genuinely concerned about them but are aiming to achieve your own objectives.

These children, and myself, are merely targets you plan to utilize.

Looking at it like this, from the Loki Port incident to you becoming one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, it’s probably all part of your plan. What exactly do you intend to do?

The things you need to accomplish are extremely dangerous, so much so that you don’t even want to acknowledge Rami right now.

I don’t know what you’ve been through, but as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, you shouldn’t value my strength so much.”

Misu doesn’t have a bounty and hasn’t publicly done anything eye-catching, so Law couldn’t possibly admire her strength. The only thing that could attract attention is her background.

”Caesar’s experimental creations seem related to the transaction between Doflamingo and us. To be something even you, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, find difficult to deal with, it must surely be an equal-level figure. Do you need me to continue?”

Managing an entire religious affair and arranging it efficiently is typically beyond misconstruing Arceus’s words. There is nothing wrong with Misu’s capability.

Being capable of all this, she was inherently hard to manipulate.

Having surmised the situation, Misu didn’t reveal everything, but even without explicit details, Law already understood. Misu had guessed his intentions, only unaware of the reasons.

”Nun, it really isn’t as complex as you think. I’m just curious; can you stomach such a deal?”

”Law, you’re an adult now. You should understand that the world isn’t just black and white.

Just as you have your secrets, you don’t know exactly what we’re planning.

But under the protection of the Lord, our success is merely a matter of time.’

While walking on this path, one might get tainted, but blemishes won’t last forever. When this long marathon concludes, naturally, we will change into a pair of clean shoes.”

Misu’s gaze toward Law hasn’t changed because he is Rami’s brother, and one of the few survivors from Freyvans. While he can’t change Misu’s mind, he does hold a certain status.

If it were a stranger doing such things, then it’s likely time to consider replacing them.

”Moreover, you’ve targeted the wrong person. I’m just an ordinary nun with no authority over major matters. I simply believe in the Lord.

There are many such followers, and I’m just an ordinary person.

Although... seeing you grow up healthy still makes me happy.”

”Nun... I...”

To be honest, Law doesn’t wish to deceive his childhood teacher, but to achieve his goals, the hatred within his heart drives him closer to the edge.

”It’s okay; there’s one thing you are right about. I certainly dislike it here, but the adult world no longer makes decisions based solely on personal likes and dislikes.”

Once involved in human trafficking, Doflamingo’s reputation within Hundred Beasts wasn’t ideal; many officers disliked him. However, he still holds value for Hundred Beasts, so his presence is tolerated.

Conversely, Law holds no practical value for Hundred Beasts, and merely relying on familial connections isn’t enough. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Unless he can surpass Doflamingo and replace other dealers, evolving the existing business into something better, borrowing someone’s blade is impossible.

”But I have a question; now that my secret is discovered by you, what do you plan to do?”

”What are you talking about, Nun? What secret? You’re just overthinking it, and I’ve been restricted on this island, leaving me without any option.”

With that, Law lifted his clothes, revealing his empty heart area.

Admitting is out of the question; currently, Misu’s stance makes Law not fully trust her. After all, Misu is merely speculating without evidence, unless Law himself stubbornly denies it.

Besides, Doflamingo naturally holds suspicion regarding Law, yet he continues to trust him. For the Anti-Aging Surgery, Doflamingo can tolerate a lot of things.

The most prudent approach would be to make those who harbor doubts disappear, but Law cannot do it.

Back then, Rosinante painstakingly pulled Law from the brink of despair.

For revenge, Law can sacrifice himself, use others, but cannot actively harm Misu.

Seeing Law’s reaction, Misu chuckled, then shifted the topic.

”Speaking of which... without the outbreak of the Platinum Lead disease, I should have taken you guys to experience society and teach you the final lesson of your life back then.

Now doesn’t seem too late, but what was taught in the past isn’t applicable now, so Law, let me teach you the final lesson now, the world of filthy adults.”

As soon as Misu finished speaking, a purple flame spread along the floor seams from her feet, and a door was cleaved in the nearby wall as if cutting through tofu. With a sudden burst of force from outside, Tiger’s figure appeared.

”How is he here?”

”Law, your skills are lacking. The distance here is too short; Observation Haki is enough to sense everything here. Sir Tiger already had a duty to protect me.

He realized since you began moving me.”

If Law were insane enough to enact drastic actions due to the Nun discovering his intentions, the outcome wouldn’t be promising. At least in this Punk Hazard, no one can stop Tiger.

”So, Nun, you want to...”

”Of course I’m taking these children away. The human gigantification experiment has nothing to do with us.”

Hundred Beasts and Doflamingo’s deal is about half-finished Artificial Devil Fruits, while Doflamingo remains an efficiently high-performing middleman. However, Misu has never heard anything linking Doflamingo with interests in human gigantification.

Since that’s the case, she certainly won’t mind intervening.

As Tiger and Misu began taking action, Monet also noticed anomalies and reported these to Doflamingo.

”Young Master, that’s roughly the situation. What should be done next?”

”Fufufufu, let them be. It’s not even our funds. Hundred Beasts ruined BIG MOM’s investment in the experiment and let them worry about it.”

”But Young Master, Caesar seems to have made a move. He disappeared after the alarm went off.”

”Stop that fool, immediately!”
