Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 841: Chapter 840: One Year of Time, Arceus’s Disdain

Misu wasn’t the type to hold a knife to someone’s throat, demanding that they convert to her faith or die.

But for those who were stubborn and refused to speak respectfully, they didn’t even have the chance to mine.

She was a nun, but this nun wasn’t all kindness and compassion. Even a fool could see something was amiss now. Although they didn’t fully understand what was happening, that member of the Revolutionary Army chose the former, sincerely apologizing to the other.

This result was barely acceptable to the Knights, and they didn’t escalate the conflict further. They continued with their missionary activities, and with this minor friction resolved, the Revolutionary Army members, under orders, kept their mouths shut. Even if they didn’t understand, they didn’t voice anything.

However, Tiger and Koala chatted for a while, sharing their experiences over this period.

Listening to Koala’s ideals, a gratified smile appeared on Tiger’s face. This at least showed that his efforts back then weren’t in vain. There were good people among humans, people willing to believe in fishmen and make a change.

After confirming that Tiger was indeed the legendary Tiger, the members of the Revolutionary Army were filled with admiration for his actions. The liberator of Mary Geoise, with such a title, Tiger’s influence on the Revolutionary Army was significant.

They even conducted a special wave of propaganda, giving these Revolutionary Army members a slightly better understanding of the Arceus Sect.

Misu and the others didn’t linger on this island for long, leaving the Revolutionary Army to head to the next island. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

”Commander Betty, lately everyone has been talking about the Arceus Sect that people mentioned...”

”I know, there’s no need to worry about such things. I’ve heard from Mori before, he also encountered a similar situation. Overall, they’re a group of good people, just a bit extreme in certain aspects.”

Mori is another commander of the Revolutionary Army, with a peculiar personality. He could be described as a giant race shemale.

As commanders of the Revolutionary Army, they had some knowledge of Dragon’s plans, knowing that the target of the Revolutionary Army was those Heavenly Celestial Dragons. Therefore, they somewhat recognized the members of the Arceus Sect, who called the Heavenly Celestial Dragons false gods and despised them.

Although these members of the Revolutionary Army gathered together due to their ideals, they lacked a clear understanding of the power of faith, unaware of its influence.

Time passed as Misu and Tiger’s ship sailed on The Sea, contributing to the spread of the Arceus Sect, while time also ticked away.

In the blink of an eye, a year had passed, and these fledgling youths had become elite warriors.

In this year, Robin’s actions continued. She discovered many weathered relics in Alabasta. The information she found inside gave her more understanding of the past.

Vivi and Igaram successfully joined the Baroque Works and even acquired their own codenames.

In the East Sea, Windmill Village, Luffy trained his fists every day, preparing for the voyage one year hence.

Baratie had become a famous Sea Restaurant, and there were even rumors of a sea monster. It was said that causing trouble there might lead to becoming the sea monster’s meal.

The days in Cocoyasi didn’t turn out as well as expected. After discovering a gold mine, their quality of life initially improved, but with the sale of gold, the stationed Colonel Mouse set his sights on the large profits and began plotting to bury the gold in the mountains.

The Black Spade Pirates, after having friendly interactions with Red Hair, fell into the clutches of Whitebeard. After countless trials, Ace obtained what he needed from Whitebeard and became a member of the Whitebeard Pirates.

Crocodile continued his research on the Netherworld King, while Moriah still lived in his own world, fantasizing about that invincible zombie army.

The remaining Seven Warlords of the Sea lived relatively harmonious lives, though Boa Hancock occasionally felt uncomfortable. Whenever she was in a bad mood, quite a few pirate stone statues would appear on the nearby sea.

After a series of efforts, Caesar successfully created his Artificial Devil Fruit. Part of the samples were sent to Ghost Island by Doflamingo.

...

”What do you want with this worthless thing?”

Looking at the Artificial Devil Fruit in Kaidou’s hand, Arceus was quite puzzled. He remembered the effects of this thing. Known as SMILE, even though it was an Artificial Devil Fruit, its success rate was very low.

There’s a high chance of losing all emotions, able only to laugh regardless of what happens.

Even if powers were obtained, they were far from complete, and the user might gain only partial abilities.

An uncontrollable transformation, with strange transformation locations, Arceus couldn’t understand what Kaidou wanted with this thing.

”You don’t know its side effects?”

”I know, that joker guy told me. He wouldn’t dare lie to me about this.”

Before delivery, Doflamingo certainly checked the effects of the goods, and he hadn’t kept any secrets about the possible side effects with Kaidou. If anything happened as a result, Doflamingo couldn’t bear the consequences.

”You still want it?”

”You don’t get it. Back in the battlefield, if I confiscated the enemy’s roasted meat, I’d eat it, but I wouldn’t throw away those nasty rations. I’d take them back to distribute or keep for later.”

Kaidou used himself as an example and expressed his thoughts.

”Your ability is very powerful. The power of those mythical creatures is far stronger than this thing. But those who are worthy of your power must be tested. This thing is more convenient.

Some people will never obtain your power in their lifetime, but even fodder has its value. This thing is suitable for them. Having some ability is better than having none, right?”

”Do you really want to buy this?”

”Well, it’s somewhat useful, isn’t it? If it doesn’t work, throwing it to Queen as ammunition isn’t a bad idea either.”

”Do as you wish, but... lower the price by 90%.”

”Why?”

”Because the success rate is just one in ten! Do you really want your people to eat those failed products?”

Glancing at those samples, Arceus had already made up his mind. What Caesar made was just a half-finished product in Arceus’s eyes. Out of ten, nine were not worth eating, and the last one required further processing.

That’s not difficult for him. What Caesar created didn’t necessarily have a high success rate. Out of about ten, only one was a finished product.

He’s not trying to give these fruits Pokemon Abilities through processing, just planning to help Kaidou slightly improve them. This would make consuming them no different from an ordinary Zoan-type Fruit.

As Kaidou mentioned, this power was for the grunts, giving those with no hope of becoming officers a bit of hope. For them, ordinary abilities were sufficient.

This improvement didn’t eliminate the side effects; he wasn’t planning on another delicate operation like extracting Dragon Fruit Seeds, just a simple augmentation to make it a normal fruit for Arceus, like cutting an apple in half, with no difficulty in the task.

”Ohoho, I knew you could handle this. I’ll leave it to you, then. It seems there’s news of your Plate recently, so I’ll go check it out first.”

Saying that, Kaidou flew directly off Ghost Island, leaving the subsequent arrangements to ultimately fall on Queen.
