Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 811: Chapter 810: Come On, Hit Me

Simipour, technically speaking, this kind of Pokemon also has two relatives, Simisear and Simisage. As the classic water-fire-grass trio, their presence has been greatly overshadowed by the Three Starter everywhere. However, as objectively existing Pokemon, they have their reason for existence.

”Hmm, kind of cute, but these eyes... Mizerka, can you still see things clearly?”

”Of course, Miss Yamato, are you thinking of something strange?”

Saying that, Mizerka opened her eyes wide again, but soon returned to her squinting state. The abilities of the Pokemon somewhat influence the user, making them retain some of the Pokemon’s hobbies.

And Simipour is one such example; most of the time, they keep a squinting eye look and rarely fully open their eyes.

”This color... Is it water type? This will be much more convenient for us at sea in the future.”

”That’s right, Lord Arceus specifically increased a bit of resistance for this ability. But this ability is better used for storing fresh water.”

Like many Water-type Pokemon, besides the ability to generate water, they also have the ability to store water. The hair on Simipour’s head is a special water storage organ; it looks like just hair but can store a vast amount of water inside.

And the tail can be used not only for attacking; once the water stored on the head decreases, it can use the tail to absorb water for replenishment.

Ordinary Simipour cannot absorb a large amount of seawater due to physical reasons, as it would make them sick. But Mizerka is different; she has better tolerance to seawater.

She simply doesn’t plan to store seawater; whenever convenient, she still intends to store fresh water.

During voyages, she’s already doubling as a chef, which raises her demand for fresh water.

Due to the uncertainty of voyage duration, pirate ships usually have simple seawater desalination devices to filter seawater.

With this ability, it’s different. From now on, she can be regarded as a moving human reservoir, capable of providing hot water 24/7 continuously.

”Sounds pretty good, come on, hit me.”

”Ah? Miss Yamato, did you say... hit you?”

”Yeah, otherwise how will I know your strength level? Don’t overthink it; you can’t hurt me.”

”Alright, then excuse me...”

With that, Mizerka’s tail pointed at Yamato, and a high-pressure water jet sprayed out from it. Yamato reached out toward the water jet, grabbing it. After a few seconds of stiffness, a chill radiated from her palm, freezing Mizerka’s water jet into an ice pillar.

”Not bad. Practice more in the future; the power should be pretty good.”

”Yes...”

Even knowing Yamato is strong, experiencing it firsthand is still hard to accept. She had tried it on a target before, which would directly pierce concrete walls, yet such a High-Pressure Water Gun couldn’t even make Yamato step back.

But those who can do such few are the minority. Most ability users without countermeasures won’t end well if she hits them.

”Okay, next, Sorlithia, Speed, you two together.”

...

Speed was the first to transform, still in that centaur-like form, and overall it didn’t look like there was much change. After all, she’s a Zebra-Zebra Fruit ability user, but with Pokemon ability transformation, the humanoid upper body also saw significant changes.

Her eyes turned blue, lightning-like patterns appeared at the corners of her eyes, and a lightning-shaped horn appeared on her head. Her body still bore white patterns, yet those patterns clearly showed lightning symbols.

Thunder Electric Pokemon - Zebstrika

”Seems like the change isn’t very big?”

”It’s just how it looks. I feel like I’ve undergone a total transformation.”

Her hair color is similar to Uta’s, distinctly split into half from the middle, but it’s half black, half white. Originally it was a neat short haircut, but after the transformation, her hair almost blended with the mane, extending backward continuously.

At this moment, sparks seemed to flicker in the mane; her lower hooves rumbled, even producing thunderous sound.

Conversely, Sorlithia’s changes weren’t very pronounced; at least she didn’t enjoy any temporary hair transplants.

Because she already had light green long hair and wore the most concealed outfit, she even had the habit of wearing helmets and goggles.

Although there was no temporary hair transplant, she successfully dyed her hair purple. She even had two strands of purple hair under her helmet that hadn’t been exposed. Behind her, two longer arms, or tails, had already floated up.

Long-Tail Pokemon - Ambipom.

They look like arms but are actually tails, and extremely flexible, even more so than her arms.

Because the tails are very convenient, her real arms gradually became forgotten, existing like auxiliary limbs.

From peeling fruit to fighting, Ambipom can rely on her arms to accomplish everything. From this moment on, Sorlithia has automatically evolved into a Four-Sword Style, possessing flexible double tails while her arms haven’t been forgotten.

”Miss Yamato, like just now?”

Shooting a thick breath from her nose, Yamato felt Speed’s battle spirit seemed to have increased, which is also a bit of influence brought by Zebstrika.

This is a Pokemon with strong explosive power; accordingly, it has a relatively aggressive temperament. As per Yamato’s previous habits, since Mizerka came once, they should be about the same.

”Come on, oh, here’s your new equipment, almost forgot to give it to you.”

Yamato took out a bundle of arrows, a new bow, and two long knives from her Cloud Waist Bag.

The arrows were for Speed, and the knives were prepared for Sorlithia; Mizerka is inherently the type for melee combat, and now with long-range sniping ability, she didn’t get any new equipment.

This batch of bows and arrows has no difference in shape from regular arrows but is made entirely of metal.

The strengths of these three were pre-determined through a lottery, and new equipment was crafted accordingly.

Due to powerful physical abilities, she can shoot metal arrows far; the reason for providing Speed with new arrows is merely for her to affix lightning.

Lightning isn’t Aura Power, and Speed cannot condense intangible electricity into physical form, so she needs some external help.

Bending the bow and drawing the arrow, lightning entangled around the arrow, Speed prepared for an attack.

Sorlithia’s twin tails were also tinged with a metallic sheen, though her Iron Tail might better be called Iron Fist, and Mizerka, under Yamato’s gesture, readied for battle.

Even three against one, the battle result did not change much; it rather enabled Yamato to gauge her team’s actual strength.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Jack’s team, Ginrummy and Sheepshead, began fighting with Jack too.

”Hold on, Lord Jack, I’m really curious, whose idea was it to pass down this testing method?”
