Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 835: Chapter 834: Queen, Have the Flowers Bloomed in Your Hometown?

Today’s Dressrosa is also known as the Land of Love, Passion, and Toys, with exquisite cuisine, flowers, dances, and walking toys. Without knowing the inside story, outsiders would naively think that the people of this country live very happily.

Those walking toys have become a unique sight, but no one knows that these toys were once living beings, turned into enslaved subjects by the power of the Hobby-Hobby Fruit.

Putting aside Doflamingo’s secret dealings, just from the surface, he has managed Dressrosa with care, and it is also a popular tourist destination.

This also means that the cost of living here is high.

Caesar himself has little resistance to such things; according to the original timeline, when he returned to Punk Hazard, he would call the ”Girls’ Ship” to the island every night, living a life of debauchery, and this money was even scammed from BIG·MOM.

Faced with the hot women of Dressrosa Island, the small fortune he scraped from the prison ship was quickly exhausted, and eventually, he couldn’t hold on any longer and proactively sought out Doflamingo.

”Caesar Clown?”

”Yes, I am the genius scientist Caesar Clown, joker, I’ve got a huge opportunity to offer you!”

”Are you referring to the time when you scammed women for money because you couldn’t afford food, only to get caught and have to flee?”

The Land of Toys is because of Sugar’s fruit ability, Love and Passion are due to the characteristics of its people, where the women tend to be quite open-minded yet very jealous.

If both parties find each other appealing, a relationship can quickly develop, but if a man betrays them, they would resort to terrifying acts of assassination, so emotional disputes and even physical conflicts are common here.

Relying on his knowledge and eloquence, Caesar indeed managed to con someone. If not for being a Logia-type ability user, he’d have more holes in his body by now.

”Ahem, ahem, ahem, that was just an accident...”

”I don’t want to waste words with you; what do you want to do exactly? I hope you have a convincing reason, otherwise, I’ll have no choice but to trade you for three hundred million Belly.”

The fact that the person addressed him as joker indicates that he knows his identity as an underworld broker. Seeing the other party run around so much, Doflamingo hoped that they were worth the trouble.

”Alright, let me reintroduce myself. I used to be a member of the MADS Research Team, working together with Vegapunk and Queen. You should be familiar with these two. Let me make one thing clear: my abilities are certainly stronger than that guy Queen’s!”

He needed a target to show his capabilities, and Queen was undoubtedly the most suitable person. Even if he didn’t want to accept this result, it was the current truth.

”Haha, interesting. So, whatever Queen can do, you can do as well?”

Upon hearing Caesar claim this, Doflamingo indeed developed a slight interest. The Hundred Beasts have several patented technologies known to the outside world, and Divine Steel is an example.

This patent isn’t due to legal protections, but rather because imitators have no clues. If Caesar could really achieve it, the profits would be unimaginable.

”About that... there’s a slight issue with that guy...”

He wanted to brag that he could do it, but the truth was he couldn’t.

Agreeing and then being unable to follow through would be a big problem for him.

”So what can you do?”

Seeing Caesar’s expression, Doflamingo got the impression that he was boasting, and his attitude turned notably cooler.

”I’m specialized in weapons and Artificial Devil Fruits, and I’ve made significant breakthroughs. With just a little funding support, I can manufacture Devil Fruits!”

”Can you guarantee you’ll succeed?”

The Devil Fruits have always been a mystery of The Sea, and if Caesar really could produce them, it would be a deal with no loss either way.

Especially as it could curry favor with Kaidou, who is fond of Zoan types.

If true, this would be highly advantageous for Doflamingo’s future endeavors.

”Yes!”

Hearing Caesar’s confident guarantee, Doflamingo temporarily believed him.

”You better not be lying; the price of lying is more than you can afford.”

He was willing to give it a try, and if it truly worked, it would surely deepen his business connections with the Beasts.

However, he wasn’t so foolish as to go discuss with Kaidou right after receiving this news.

If he discussed future trades with Kaidou now and Caesar failed to deliver satisfactory products, he would definitely be the one to suffer.

If he ”deceived” Kaidou, Kaidou wouldn’t care about what happened in between; he’d just have a nice chat with him, the primary person responsible.

Having temporarily gained Doflamingo’s support, Caesar Clown embarked on a new round of research.

Meanwhile, in the Beast Pirates, Queen looked at the blooming Gracidea flowers with a gratified smile; the flowers finally bloomed.

”Little Shaymin! They’ve bloomed! Now you can help me, right?”

The Gracidea flowers he cultivated in various regions were now all in bloom. Queen placed them in pots and transported them all to the same area, calling Shaymin out.

”Heard it, heard it, Mi has heard it, stop rushing!”

The familiar grass hedgehog emerged from Queen’s laboratory in Ringo, looking at the Gracidea flowers outside. The flowers on her body gave off a distinctive fragrance.

”Not bad, you really made them sprout, Mi thought you wouldn’t succeed.”

The number of Gracidea flower seeds he obtained wasn’t much, but gathered together it was a small cluster of flowers. Walking among them, Shaymin acknowledged Queen’s success, enveloped in a golden light.

Within the golden light, her form gradually became sleeker, transforming from a rotund hedgehog into a Pokemon resembling a deer or a dog. Her body was white, but her limbs and head were covered in green fur, and she had wing-like antlers on her head.

This is Shaymin’s Sky Form; she kept moving but now soared into the sky. As she moved, Ringo, perpetually covered in snow, welcomed its revival.

The snow began to loosen, as if something within wanted to burst forth. Over time, a tender green bud pushed through the snow, bearing a flower about to bloom.

Ringo, predominantly white, today saw a brilliant scene of flowers blooming for the first time. Those seeds slumbering in the snow for years finally revived.

”How... how about it, Mi’s power is strong, right?”

”Amazing! This power will surely save my plantation!”

In his excitement, Queen extended his hands towards Shaymin, seemingly wanting to give her a hug. But Shaymin’s demeanor seemed to have changed; instead of accepting the hug as before, she instinctively flew back, seemingly brewing something atop her head...
