Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 817: Chapter 816: A Letter from the Father-in-Law, A New Pilgrim

”Compared to that, I’m more worried about you.”

”Hmm? What is there to worry about? It’s not like twenty years ago, Dad, I’m really strong now.”

”I’m not worried about your strength; I’m concerned about your future life. You’re already a 200-year-old young lady. When are you going to bring a son-in-law back for me?”

”What 200 years? Do you see any difference between me and an 18-year-old?”

Olga, with a real age of 201, has a mysterious age on her ID. If you ignore the time inside a Sea King Type, she’s just a little over thirty.

But due to the influence of pure gold, even as she started developing, her growth rate was slower than normal. She looked even younger than Yamato, hardly different from a young girl, so much so that she herself stopped caring about her age.

Sometimes when asked, she might casually mention an approximate number, not taking Asie’s prodding to heart at all.

”Besides, your concern is somewhat far-fetched, you should worry about yourself instead, so you don’t have to keep going to Flower Street for no reason...”

”Shut up!”

Before Olga could finish, Asie smacked her on the head, forcibly cutting off her comments. Although some things were done, talking about them was still too embarrassing for him.

”What are you doing? I’m over two hundred years old, and you’re making me feel like a kid.”

”Why don’t you say you’re 18 at times like this? Even if you’re 200, no matter how old you get, I’m always your dad. I’m not rushing you for anything else; House Miski isn’t some noble family, but eventually, there should be descendants.

Given your current situation, I think you’re in danger.”

As he spoke, Asie took out a letter. The content was harmless, just wishing him a happy birthday, but the salutation was inappropriate.

”To my dearest father-in-law???”

”Yes, dear father-in-law. Look at who signed it.”

”Boa Hancock...”

”Now do you understand why I’m worried about you? This situation.... Although I don’t have strict preferences on who you end up with, at least it ought to be a man, right?”

At this moment, Olga understood why Asie said those things.

Hancock’s letter was just a trigger. The Kuja are now one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea; they wouldn’t openly associate with the Hundred Beasts. So, Hancock just sent a letter and some gifts.

Previously, all her correspondence was directed to Olga, but this time, for some reason, Asie became the new recipient. Olga didn’t monitor her dad and didn’t expect Hancock to pull a surprise like this.

”No, the thing is, I didn’t do anything; what has she imagined in her head this time!”

During their time together, Olga realized that Hancock easily jumps to conclusions. Just give her an opportunity, and she’d imagine a whole storyline that can’t be written out.

Although this time there wasn’t any extreme language, it left plenty of room for imagination.

”I believe you, it’s just that girl seems a bit stubborn...”

”Forget it, I’ll handle this myself slowly. That girl seems strong, but she’s quite fragile too. Aunt Nightin! My dad has something to tell you!”

In the end, Olga adopted the ultimate strategy, pushing Asie forward to face his own emotional issues, smoothly extricating herself in the process.

It was just a small birthday party, and in the end, it didn’t stir up too much commotion.

However, Asie hemmed and hawed for ages and came up with no results. Compared to his smoothness in research, it was a world of difference.

But during Asie’s 250th birthday party, the Flower Capital was not calm, or rather, part of it wasn’t.

...

”Lady Hiyori, isn’t this too dangerous?”

”Dangerous? Why would it be dangerous? This is within Wano Kuni, are you saying those assassins haven’t been completely purged?”

At this moment, Kozuki Hiyori made a decision. She wanted to climb Fuji Mountain, and she wanted to go alone.

That place is now considered a Holy Mountain that tests faith, bringing a whole entourage of generals clearly wasn’t suitable. Coupled with her recent mental transformation, she made this decision.

King had no objections; ever since Kozuki Hiyori changed, he became much more lenient, indirectly allowing Kozuki Hiyori much more freedom. Moreover, she couldn’t possibly pull any tricks atop Fuji Mountain.

However, Denjiro and others were worried about her safety, and as Kozuki Hiyori pointed out, they don’t know if those lunatics were entirely wiped out.

Though the leader had been executed, and the rest were scared out of their wits, with other participants having become new miners, they were originally followers of Kozuki Oden.

The former interest groups are the most likely to rebel in today’s Wano Kuni. As former vested interests, the emergence of the Hundred Beasts caused them serious losses, and the previous assassination leaders were such people.

But the participants were different; there were ordinary people among them.

Theoretically, the legend of Oden’s spirit has eradicated this flaw, but no one can say for sure.

In Denjiro’s view, those people are maniacs; no one knows what a group of maniacs might do.

If something unexpected really happens, they’d truly be held accountable.

”There should be... no such people left...”

Denjiro knew that incident caused great damage to Kozuki Hiyori. Without that mess, she wouldn’t have this kind of mindset. No matter what, he didn’t want to tell Kozuki Hiyori there might still be people in Wano Kuni who don’t want her alive.

Kozuki Hiyori heard the hesitation in Denjiro’s words but didn’t argue.

”If there really aren’t any, then why worry? I’ll be taking Enma and Ame no Habakiri with me.”

Refusing Denjiro and others’ requests to follow, Kozuki Hiyori left the palace of the Flower Capital alone with Enma and Ame no Habakiri on her back.

”Kawamatsu, Kikunojo, aren’t you worried at all?”

”It’s not like I’m unworried, but I don’t know how to dissuade Lady Hiyori. Isn’t it the duty of us household attendants to comply with her decisions?”

”No need to worry, I asked someone to keep an eye on Lady Hiyori’s safety. With her there, nothing will happen.”

Kawamatsu was helpless, while Kikunojo was quite calm. Hearing Kikunojo’s words, Denjiro seemed to have realized something.

”Drake?”

”Hmm.”

In today’s Wano Kuni, the Hundred Beasts represent safety. She’s already responsible for matters here, so coming along temporarily isn’t an issue.

However, Kikunojo didn’t know that even if he hadn’t reached out to Drake, Greninja would eventually follow her.
