Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 809: Chapter 808: Divine Grace Ritual and Jealousy

Intelligent creatures grow continuously based on their experiences, and the fruit Nereus consumed is the Mythical Human-Human Fruit, which significantly elevated her intelligence.

Pokemon are very smart, but their way of thinking is quite different from humans. Mythical beasts’ logical thinking is closer to humans, whereas other Pokemon are not. Nereus’s previous logic was always from the perspective of the Gyarados’s ways.

Meet and use Flamethrower, and if that doesn’t work, use Hyper Beam; if you don’t like someone, just beat them up first.

But after becoming the king of the clan, she realized this approach didn’t quite fit future developments. As the king of a group, she shouldn’t be so impulsive, so she started learning some management techniques from familiar humans.

Her primary learning targets were the Fishman Race, as well as Mandfeish individuals who had deep connections with the Fishman Race because their environment allowed them to swim directly from the sea, making visits convenient.

Originally, she also consulted Jack, but Jack’s management method...

If there’s a disagreement, fight it out, and whoever wins gets to decide. It’s even more straightforward and rough than Gyarados. He hardly ever talks about feelings unless his Alcremie finds him interesting.

Among the current cadres, Jack’s subordinates have the highest injury rate, as he often adopts tactics that involve boarding battles.

After cleaning the surrounding sea area, Nereus reverted to Gyarados’s form and entered Wano Kuni along the peripheral waterfall, landing on Kuri’s beach, dragging a Sea King Type behind her.

The Gyarados tribe had long integrated into the oceanic ecosystem. This vast sea hides too many unknowns, and its inclusiveness towards creatures is unexpectedly strong. The Sea King Type and Sea Beast are special tribes that have found a place in the sea, proving the ocean’s capacity to accommodate.

Ordinary marine creatures have no interest in Magikarp, but Sea Beasts and Sea King Types can view them as krill. The large reproductive numbers of Magikarp ensure the propagation of the tribe, and when a small group gives birth to Gyarados, their status in the biological chain changes.

For Nereus, who leads all Gyarados, she has already reached the top of the marine food chain.

The Sea King Type that wants to attack her will ultimately become her food or a parting gift.

This Sea King Type, with a snapper head, is just that. Pilgrimage is an annual event for the Magikarp tribe, but the chance of finding a Plate is low. Over so many years, only Nereus found one piece.

But as she learned, she started to think she shouldn’t come here empty-handed every time. Ordinary things would not impress Arceus, so she decided to expand the influence of her creator.

”Boom!”

The enormous Sea King Type was thrown to the ground, creating a large pit in the beach, causing nearby anglers to widen their eyes.

The outer seas of Wano Kuni are rapid whirlpools, and fishing is only possible on a small scale in the Inner Sea, with inland river fishing also providing some catches. However, sea products are generally rare, as most people lack the ability for ocean fishing.

Usually, it’s the Hundred Beasts fishing team that brings the catch from the outside, and the price is higher.

”Take it and distribute it.”

Leaving such words, Nereus walked towards the depths of Kuri, heading in the direction of Zeraora’s home to discuss something with this ”eldest son.”

...

Soon, Ghost Island saw several figures, ranging from the over twenty-meter-tall Nereus to the barely half-meter-tall Diancie. Most of the Pokemon initially created by Arceus watched nearby.

Combee danced in the Bee Queen’s lead, Electivire held the nearby Whimsicott to prevent them from running wild.

Geodude silently waited on the ground, while Hydreigon behaved like a good baby.

In the sky, Corviknight and Altaria soared, while Tinkaton sat quietly on the side, not thinking any rouge thoughts.

Tsareena shooed away nearby seabirds, protecting Bounsweet beside her, while Ampharos controlled the Mareep herd to prevent accidental electrocutions.

Several Machoke competed against each other to see who could do more push-ups, even letting some Farfetch’d stand on their backs as additional weight.

Alcremie wandered through the Pokemon community, sharing her cream.

The Pokemon from Wano Kuni had mostly gathered here; even those from large tribes had representatives.

Besides the Pokemon gathering together, there were many Pirates watching. In their eyes, there was a hint of frenzy because the Divine Grace ceremony was being held.

Arceus was showcasing his powers, while the Pokemon worshipped the creator’s majestic figure, and the Pirates dreamed of their future.

At the feast, they could only indulge in drinking and revelry, at most partake in some entertainment like dance and song, but during the Divine Grace ceremony, they could obtain the most direct power.

”Dad, when is it our turn?”

”Yeah, yeah, we also want it.”

At Zeraora’s side, two children expressed their longing for power, even though they already possessed Aura and Power of Thunder, they wished for more miraculous powers.

”Too much is unmanageable. First, master what you have, then obediently wait.”

The earlier words were realities: Moon Lion, Power of Thunder, Aura Power, Haki—these are quite sufficient for them to learn.

At the same time, Zeraora thought obtaining abilities too early would make them more reckless; otherwise, if Zeraora specifically sought Arceus, he wouldn’t refuse to grant them abilities ahead of time.

”By the way, why is that woman here?”

After comforting his children, Zeraora looked toward the stand, where a person who shouldn’t be here was—Kozuki Hiyori.

”After the assassination that time, she changed. Before, she expressed to King a desire to observe the master’s great power, so she was brought here.”

Greninja’s voice came from the side, serving as an explanation to the Pokemon here.

...

”Tch, why is it only Sorlithia and her group, just because they follow Miss Yamato?”

The Hundred Beasts gradually increased, and not everyone could hold a normal view of their colleagues gaining abilities. Aside from admiration and respect, jealousy was also brewing.

”The Holy Beast Lord has never neglected anyone with merit. Years ago, they fought their way into that position. Over the years, they’ve continually studied, fought enemies, accumulating bit by bit.”

When complaining about others, why not consider what you were doing back then?”

”Sha... Shaina, my lady...”

The chilling voice beside their ear sent a shiver through several people, making them nervously unable to respond.

”You few follow me afterward, don’t you want power, let me see if you are ready for it.”
