Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 839: Chapter 838: Blasphemer

Tiger did not participate in the battle. It was training for the Holy Temple Knight Order, who were constantly accumulating combat experience. Compared to when they just left Ghost Island, their coordination became more seamless, and they switched formations with ease.

Initially, they made various mistakes, such as exhausting all their energy in a do-or-die state, leaving no strength to intervene in other battles. This led to their habit of keeping a reserve.

Tiger was just another layer of insurance to deal with more troublesome enemies, while also acting as a post-battle commentator, summarizing their mistakes during the fight.

Picking up a nearby telescope, Tiger gazed into the distance, where a woman was waving a special large flag with a unique emblem in the middle and the letters RA on the sides.

”The woman’s outfit is quite... bold...”

In Tiger’s view, a woman donning a red high hat and a red vest was vigorously waving her flag, uttering something. It was too far to read her lips, so he didn’t know what she was saying.

But her collar was wide open and she wasn’t wearing underwear at all. Even mermaids, with their rather simple attire, wouldn’t reveal anything; this woman in front... not necessarily so.

”Lord Tiger, your focus seems to be a bit off.”

”Ahem, indeed she’s from the Revolutionary Army. I saw that flag during my travels recently.”

”In that case, are they allies?”

”More or less. What they’re doing is quite similar to us, just with different goals.”

Currently, the Revolutionary Army was also acting all over, building a reputation by hitting pirates and even targeting the monarchies of some kingdoms. As their leader, Dragon had become the most notorious criminal in the world.

To the World Government, pirates only undermine profits and are a minor issue, but the Revolutionary Army seeks to act from the roots, presenting a far greater threat than ordinary pirates.

Dragon knew his wings weren’t fully grown, hence his various subordinates were acting separately, working hard for the future.

The one appearing here was the Eastern Army Commander of the Revolutionary Army—Belo Betty.

”Alright, you worthless trash! Waiting for someone to save you? Heroes aren’t something you see every day. If you want to change, learn to become your own hero!!”

Her words were quite crude, not scolding the pirates but rather the townsfolk who only knew how to escape.

And as she berated them, the muscles of those residents swelled, with each person feeling a surge of power from within, all because of her Fruit Ability.

Having consumed the Paramecia-type Cheer-Cheer Fruit, when she rallied people, she could awaken the power deep in their hearts, instilling them with the courage to resist. Those encouraged by her would also exhibit stronger power due to her ability.

But these people were just ordinary townsfolk, so members of the Revolutionary Army charged alongside them, dealing with more threatening enemies. However, today’s battle was unusually easy for them, as those pirates were already in disarray.

When the Revolutionary Army and the Holy Temple Knight Order met, there was no conflict. Their enemies were the pirates, yet with the changes in the knight order’s combat style, they felt something different.

”Encircle formation, annihilate!”

Under the attacking combined formations, these Paradise pirates were hugely incompetent. In order to quickly resolve the enemy, the knights fought according to what they had learned, like the Rokushiki.

Their Rokushiki techniques made the Revolutionary Army suspicious. Ordinarily, people couldn’t learn such things. Picking up one or two styles from battle wasn’t hard, but so many of them, forming a complete set, was just not scientific.

But as they were also fighting pirates, the Revolutionary Army still saw them as allies. They weren’t just rebels; the Navy and benevolent officials were also their targets for recruitment, with conflicts arising post-battle.

After defeating the pirates, the Holy Temple Knight Order routinely helped the townsfolk clean up the aftermath, treating wounds, and spreading faith.

”The Lord’s glory spreads across The Sea, the Lord’s grace is expanding, believe in the Lord, and He will grant you happiness and well-being.”

Whether or not these townsfolk had faith, they would attempt to preach. Facing these unknown individuals who just saved their town, they would at least hear them out.

But placing hope in such a vague faith conflicted with the Revolutionary Army’s ideology of relying on one’s own efforts.

The Revolutionary Army was grounded in reality, while members of the Arceus Sect engaged in purely religious acts. Normally, this wouldn’t pose a conflict; let people choose for themselves.

Yet the Revolutionary Army had an issue: they had no restrictions on recruitment—anyone willing to join could, leading to a mix of members with varying qualities.

Some hesitated as they listened to what they saw as fanatical rants from those devotees, causing a few muttering remarks.

”Come on, how can that stuff be useful...”

But the next moment, a sharp shield blade flew right towards his neck.

Thunk!

A water pipe blocked the flying shield, the Haki infusing it preventing the pipe from breaking, but the clashing sound drew the attention of those around.

”Friend, isn’t it unnecessary to be so impulsive? Did he do something?”

”A Blasphemer must pay the price; this guy questioned our faith!”

The members of the Holy Temple Knight Order didn’t deactivate their transformed state, and the headwear communication ability still prevailed. Once the knight spoke, the surrounding knights reacted too.

The Revolutionary Army member who was attacked hadn’t figured out what had occurred, but he felt he was now a target. The gazes on him were filled with killing intent, even more intense than when they battled pirates earlier.

The selected thirty were not only the best in various tests but also fanatics, expressing absolute loyalty to the Arceus Sect that granted them new life, sometimes overreacting and unable to accept any ’sacrilegious’ words.

That suspicious phrase, in their ears, was already a ’blasphemous’ act.

”Form a formation!”

The surrounding members put down their work and began encircling the area.

”Hey, hey, what did you say to make them suddenly turn against us?”

The man holding the water pipe asked the Revolutionary Army member behind him. He had spoken with the accompanying Arceus Sect members earlier and found them an amiable group, not expecting such a big reaction now.

”I... I don’t know what’s going on...”

”Sabo! What’s going on, why are we about to fight again!”

The commotion also drew the attention of the Revolutionary Army members, including a girl who approached with a few people. However, the first thing she did was to inquire what her own people had done this time.
