Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 496: Chapter 495: Not Everyone Can Withstand the Power of Pay-to-Win

Bananas mature three times a year. To improve breeding, he doesn’t eat many himself, so each time they ripen, it’s the moment he looks forward to the most.

Although bananas can be picked early and ripened artificially, naturally matured bananas taste completely different from those picked early for transportation and preservation.

The severed bananas couldn’t be reattached, which meant that the moment he had anticipated for months was ruined by the other party.

For some reason, Knight and Rook sensed a terrifying aura from Queen, different from a moment ago, as if he had completely transformed.

”I’m really... angry! Roll up the force, QUEEN!”

Discarding the weapon in his left hand, the mechanical arm on his left arm suddenly extended, the clamp at its end gripping Knight’s waist tightly, its massive grip rendering him unable to break free.

”Is this Germa’s...?”

Germa’s abilities aren’t a secret, given that they’ve been depicted in comics. Anyone who knows that the villain in Sea Warrior: Sky is modeled after Germa 66 would know what those abilities are, let alone they are also part of the government’s intelligence agency.

”What do you mean Germa’s? This is my technology. Some things aren’t exclusive to that guy Judge.”

After the bananas were cut down, they committed Queen’s second taboo: mentioning Germa’s tech in his presence. He and Judge had mutual contempt since their days at MADS, and Queen developed these technologies to prove his capabilities were never inferior.

The technologies Judge incorporated into battle suits, Queen modified into his own body. The extended mechanical arm began to retract, while Knight also sensed a massive suction.

Unlike the mechanical arm restraining him, he felt his strength continually depleting.

”You will pay for your actions; taste the power of Giga Drain!”

Drain, Super Drain, Giga Drain, a series of grass-type Pokemon skills, all with the same effect: draining enemy stamina to restore one’s own. However, the power increases with each level.

With the bananas destroyed, Queen activated his Giga Drain with full force, intending to drain the opponent dry.

The winch power derived from the Bloodline Factor alone was enough to prevent him from escaping, let alone the Giga Drain which continued depleting his stamina, and when the existing stamina was exhausted, the ongoing Giga Drain began seizing his life force.

”Captain!”

Rook, witnessing the situation, wanted to help, but Queen had already prepared something to counter him.

”Experience the carnival of explosions!”

As Queen spoke, seeds resembling bouncing mines suddenly surfaced on the ground—these were Seed Bombs, fired earlier by Queen using his Bullet Seed.

Each seed was now a fearsome bomb, and as for their quantity, he wasn’t sure how many were fired in the previous barrage. With Queen’s activation, the area quickly turned into a sea of fire.

Even though these bombs were still at version 1.0, and their power had yet to upgrade, this relentless Seed Bomb assault was unbearable for the opponent, who lacked a Kamui Space to evade such minute-long explosive attacks.

Time passed slowly, and in the explosion, Rook ceased moving, while Knight in Queen’s grip also resisted less and less. As Knight nearly dehydrated, Queen sliced him in half with a single stroke.

Meanwhile, it seemed Yamato didn’t need his help; the battle there had ended long ago, leaving only the heads of GT-9 and GT-10 suspended in the air by Eruption devices.

The way these Genesects handled the situation was more mechanized. Based on their analysis of the battle, they chose the most efficient combat method.

Prioritizing Yamato above all else, the cost was irrelevant. They didn’t consider who was stronger, Yamato or those two CP0s.

In the fight, they opted for self-dismantling, sacrificing two units to bind the enemy while other Genesects focused fire, simultaneously activating self-destruct.

The price paid was substantial, but the results were evident.

”Can you truly feel no pain?”

Looking at the two Genesects with only heads remaining, Yamato’s voice had a hint of sympathy.

”No, Ghost Princess, our bodies are merely machines. We’ll simply replace them upon return. It’s the most efficient combat method, please don’t worry.”

Then Queen arrived, surveying the devastated battlefield, and told Yamato, ”Miss Yamato, it’s time for us to leave; this place isn’t safe.”

If it were only him, he wouldn’t worry much; it seemed those CP0s were wiped out, and he didn’t see them sending messages out, but caution was still wise.

They already received Kogia’s payment. Though the King informed the World Government, they had initially made payment, probably planning to reclaim it after the World Government took down Queen. But for now, it seemed that chance was lost.

Regarding reprisals, they couldn’t discern where these CP0s came from, nor did they leave captives to interrogate. He planned to investigate after leaving.

Even if Kogia Kingdom was responsible, they couldn’t escape unscathed; not everyone can drag a country away like Oars.

”Alright, are we heading to the North Sea next?”

Per their original itinerary, they had another task in the North Sea, but Queen wasn’t sure if this mission should proceed now.

So, he chose to contact Ghost Island, using Rotom as a precaution, given the risk of eavesdropping on a Radio Snail. No known creature or machine can eavesdrop on Rotom communications.

...

”Master Arceus, we encountered a little trouble, but it’s resolved. What do you suggest next...”

Queen briefly explained the events to Arceus and sought guidance on the next steps.

”Continue as planned; there’s nothing much to worry about.”

Neither Zekrom nor Reshiram had been activated, indicating that the other side was safe, after which Yamato took over the communication.

The main topic was the Genesects.

”Don’t worry, their bodies will be manufactured soon. Let’s have 7 accompany them back.”

Acquired by Arceus’s assurance, Yamato calmly followed Queen to continue their actions, while on the Kogia Kingdom’s battlefield, Knight, dehydrated and sliced in half, astonishingly rose again...
