Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 466: Chapter 465: Losers and Peepers

The wedding at the main venue has concluded, and the pirates are enjoying their merry feast, while many others, drawn by the wedding scene, feel a spark of impulse within them.

According to later investigation reports, this year marked the highest internal marriage rate within the Hundred Beasts Pirates, influenced by Setsuna and Zeraora; many chose this opportunity to confess.

Such a mysterious scene is hard to recreate, and many may never witness anything like it for the rest of their lives.

Of course, this event also brought about many broken hearts; confessing is not a battle cry but the final banner. Rushing in with impulse won’t lead to success.

Today is destined to be a day of heartbreak for many singles; the pirate community has always had more men than women, and the women capable of becoming pirates usually have stronger talents.

Especially within the competitive environment of the Hundred Beasts, those who can appear on Ghost Island as elites already have slightly superior strength, making it exceptionally difficult to pursue them.

For instance, a certain pirate has just encountered a setback in life.

”Don’t joke around, you’re too ugly, not my type.”

Drake sat sprawled on a bench, with drink trickling down his mouth onto his clothes, showing complete disdain for the person in front of him.

”Too... too ugly?!”

”Ah, face reality, it’s something you can’t change.”

After patting him on the shoulder, Drake picked up his wine jug and headed toward King and Shaina; it seemed quieter over there, and there weren’t people engaging in such reckless behavior near the high-level officials.

After she nonchalantly left, only a dispirited pirate remained, but this situation didn’t last long, as he was soon dragged away by other single pirates, joining their army of singles.

Kaidou was engaged in a drinking contest, and those around him were rapidly decreasing in numbers. Losing to Kaidou is part of it, but mainly because they sensed Kaidou was slightly getting tipsy.

Although it’s still the wedding scene, they dared not bet on whether Kaidou would get drunk and act crazy; if unlucky, they’d end up lying in the Pokemon Center for months, or worse, they’d go straight to the grave.

Only those with strong abilities or guts dared to continue competing in drinks with Kaidou.

Queen was still dancing impromptu; whether anyone was watching, he didn’t know, but he was happy dancing, even got a bunch of underlings to dance with him. A slightly tipsy Kaidou looked around and felt something was missing.

”King... Queen... Shaina... where did that girl Olga go?”

The top officials were all gathered here, but besides Zeraora, who was currently a groom, even Olga was nowhere to be seen.

However, this question only lasted about five seconds before he returned his interest to the wine in front of him.

She’s no longer an Intern, surely couldn’t have been kidnapped on Ghost Island.

Meanwhile, Olga was crouching in a corner, spying on none other than her own dad. Usually, Asie should be dance-battling with Queen by now; they share a common topic in that regard, but today was different.

The grand wedding scene not only affected the young; the elderly were also affected. Some, like Hyogoro, reminisced about the past, while others, like the widowed Asie, seemed to be experiencing a second spring.

He had lived for over a hundred years in the dinosaur nest inside the Lord of the Lantern’s belly. If the dinosaurs weren’t so dumb to realize he was an imposter, he’d have long been devoured by those dinosaur mouths.

That life was even more dull and boring than what Olga went through; Olga got to run around with Elizabeth, but Asie’s situation was much riskier.

After leaving there, they joined the Hundred Beasts Pirates. During his time with Nightin, they had developed a bit of a relationship.

Being single for so long made everything look attractive, and sometimes he even found some Pokemon very cute, like the sweet cold queen taking care of Bounsweet in the dining hall.

Moreover, in some sense, it’s not impossible. According to the history of the Pokemon World, there were many humans who married Pokemon in ancient times.

For instance, Gardevoir, the sweet cold queen, Mawile, Lopunny, etc., later some places even enacted laws to restrict such activities.

”Olga, what are you doing?”

”Shh, don’t make a sound.”

Grabbing Elizabeth’s neck, Olga pulled her over to eavesdrop too. She wasn’t against it; her mother had passed away nearly 200 years ago, and she had no reason to demand Asie remain single forever, even showing concern for her dad’s situation.

”Don’t you have illusions? No need to be so sneaky, right?”

Elizabeth didn’t understand why Olga, who had better means of hiding, chose such a primitive method.

”You don’t understand, Elizabeth, you’re still not familiar with humans. Although that method is better, this way is more fun; standing out in the open makes it lose its thrill.”

Saying this, she adjusted the angle of the mirror in her hand, starting to peep at her dad’s actions. At this time, others were also espionaging, like in Kuri, some pirates couldn’t resist and quietly appeared.

Although the wedding venue was on Ghost Island, their new house was in Kuri, and right after the ceremony, the couple returned here. After they went in, some discreetly followed.

”Be careful, just give Brother Zeraora a scare, they’ve only just gone in, it’s certainly not that quick.”

Within proper bounds, causing a little mischief doesn’t anger people. The leader was reminding the others to mind their manners; truly angering them would lead to a dire consequence.

But before they could act, a strange sound suddenly reached their ears, and a few Negative Ghosts passed through their bodies.

”Someone like me alive is wasting air...”

”I shouldn’t be on the surface; I should burrow like an earthworm...”

Several people immediately became despondent; Negative Ghosts are like rule-based weapons to ordinary people, and they simply couldn’t resist this Fruit Ability.

”Hokoko, hokoko, that’s already the third batch of fools today. Are you all so idle? Kumashi, it’s over to you.”

Before today, she had already promised Setsuna and Zeraora not to let unrelated people near, and she always enjoyed staying up late. The night environment made her more energetic than the daytime, especially since she also got the promise of a dark new house, so she worked hard.

After these people were affected by the Negative Ghosts, Kuma quietly stepped forward, opened his arms, and hugged the group, then threw them directly into a nearby river, watching them get swept away before returning to the shadows...
