Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 494: Chapter 493: Queen Capture Plan

The surrounding seas of Wano Kuni are monitored by Navy surveillance ships. However, due to the unique ocean currents around Wano Kuni, these ships maintain a certain distance. The Hundred Beasts Pirate Group has numerous flying ability users, so they have many ways to avoid these surveillance ships.

Moreover, the Omanyte has already infiltrated the CP0 team’s Radio Snail communication system like a sieve, and they are now being counter-surveilled.

Queen’s whereabouts were only recently discovered, and the reason for the discovery was the Kogia Kingdom’s king, who exposed Queen’s identity.

Although they’re a Non-Adhering Country, they have contact with the World Government. In this world, there’s a creature known as a bootlicker, and many Non-Adhering Countries live like bootlickers.

The World Government regards them with disdain, pays no attention to their safety, and certainly won’t send anyone to protect them. Yet, these Non-Adhering Countries shamelessly desire the World Government’s favor to gain membership opportunities.

As sad as it is, this is indeed the best way for a country to exist in this deformed world—by finding a protector.

Collecting protection fees to ensure national security, both the World Government and some pirates do this. Pirates like Kaidou, Whitebeard, and Charlotte Linlin, although nominally pirates, have essentially become local warlords.

But they ultimately bear the title of pirate, and unless you’re originally a Pirate Realm, most people still choose to trust the Navy and the World Government. Although the tributes are steep, and there are corrupt elements in the Navy, they are far better than most pirates.

Believing in Queen, they expected to pay a huge price after Queen’s victory over Germa. Given Queen’s only-alive bounty, they had a new idea, thinking they might use this opportunity to smoothly become a member state.

So, the royal family of this kingdom simply sold out Queen, leading to the current situation.

As the World Government’s most trusted executioners, CP0 knows many hidden pieces of intelligence. For instance, Queen’s bounty skyrocketed due to his research capabilities, while his personal strength is just so-so.

Of course, Queen himself also knows this, estimating that out of his 10 billion bounty, about 8 billion are for his scientific prowess. Being the ”Boiling King” of the Hundred Beasts, he finds it very frustrating.

These people actually arrived long ago but have just been observing the situation in secret. Queen’s public prowess is too mysterious, and they want to understand more about his real strength.

”Knight, are we really okay with abandoning our original mission?”

”It’s an order from above. Just carry it out. For them, there’s no need to ponder the reasons behind the execution of the task. All they need to do is complete it.”

The leading CP0 member answered calmly.

Knight isn’t his real name but his code name. CP0 has many squads, each with a unique code name. He then continued to instruct his subordinates:

”Germa seems to be struggling. That Queen appears to have some impressive technology. Bishop, Chariot, you go deal with that girl; it seems he’s quite concerned about her. Rook, you’ll come with me to handle Queen.”

Knight quickly made arrangements, and following their orders, his subordinates went into action.

The presence of the Genesect under Yamato made him pay more attention to her, noting that those machines seemed quite remarkable through earlier observations.

Originally, Queen was wantonly bullying those ordinary Germa clone soldiers. Under absolute firepower suppression, those guys couldn’t even get close for a suicide attack.

With the arrival of the GT-8, Queen relaxed further. He knows Judge’s level well, and in the MADS Research Institute, excluding Vegapunk and his research subjects, Queen considers himself the strongest.

Caesar is just a ”battle waste,” even with Logia-type abilities, he’s weak. Most people with Armament Haki can handle him. Judge is somewhat stronger, but most of his power lies in his weaponry and equipment.

Only Queen, while modifying his body, keeps training, and after joining the Hundred Beasts, has gained sufficient physical training and dual-color Haki. It’s not because he’s exceptionally gifted; anyone in the Hundred Beasts’ environment could train muscles.

However, CP0’s appearance disrupted Queen’s rhythm.

Bishop and Chariot appeared next to Yamato, interrupting her pursuit of Judge. Seeing the CP0 here, Judge didn’t linger and quickly left with Germa.

These CP0 members are killing machines with years of training. With a clear target, they have no intention of conversations. Chariot raised a hand and scattered a powdery substance towards Yamato.

He possesses the ability in this team to release potent sleep-inducing toxins, handy for covert missions. However, the Sleep Powder had no effect on Yamato, as the Genesect beneath her suddenly emitted a strong suction force.

All the sleep-inducing powder was sucked into its body.

”Ghost Princess, be careful. This powder is poisonous. Inhaling it could cause unknown effects.”

As a Steel-type Pokemon, and with most of its body comprising specially-made mechanical structures, poison has no effect on Genesect. It can thus function fully as a mobile air filter.

When Bishop and Chariot moved against Yamato, Queen noticed them as well. This was part of Knight’s plan—using the attack on Yamato to distract Queen.

His strategy succeeded; the sudden attack on Yamato indeed distracted Queen. If something happens to Yamato, he won’t fare well either.

He’s not worried about Judge, as he knows Judge well enough, but now it’s different.

When he intended to support Yamato, Knight used Soru to instantly appear before Queen.

”Opportunity...”

With a raised leg, a flash of violet light flickered across Knight’s body, and a heavy stomp landed directly on Queen’s head.

Boom!

Queen, in his Tropius form, had his head slammed to the ground, cracks spreading along the ground in all directions.

”Captain, was it so easy to handle?”

Seeing the hardly responsive Queen, Rook walked out in disbelief, unable to fathom how a pirate with a ten billion bounty was seemingly defeated with a single hit.

Before Knight could respond, he and Rook simultaneously used Moonwalk to ascend, avoiding the area where shortly after, a laser burst from Queen’s tail, leaving a scorched trench in its wake.

Then Queen pulled his head out from the dirt, shaking it before disdainfully looking up at the sky.

”Did you think such an attack could take down Lord Queen? Compared to those freaks... you’re far from it!!”
