Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 487: Chapter 486: In Front of Kaidou, Doflamingo Is Just Ming-Di

A year ago, when she first set out to sea, she hesitated with some actions, but as she went undercover in various organizations, her understanding of the outside world deepened, and she became more decisive in her actions.

This is why she spent most of her time infiltrating illegal organizations, allowing her to act more decisively and without the slightest hesitation.

The actions of those kids just now clearly showed that they were not good people.

Her training on Ghost Island was different from that of Yamato and the others. It wasn’t a devilish regimen of daily beatings but rather focused on strengthening her body. Most of the time was spent learning various things, so she only knew a bit of Armament.

However, she also learned other things from others. By following Nightin, she gained a greater understanding of the human body’s structure, attained deeper knowledge of joint techniques, and developed some understanding of acupuncture points and blood vessels.

This is a major challenge in the Pirate World because of the many bizarre body types. Not to mention the Long-legged and Long-armed races with extra joints, even ordinary people have various peculiar structures.

Things like cone heads, drill noses, radish shapes, and short legs make it very difficult to align regular acupuncture points. Even Nightin had to attempt little by little, taking many years to integrate this into her body techniques.

Although her Chinese Herbal Fist is named after herbal medicine, it’s more about hitting acupuncture points. At 80 years old, using secret medicine to regain youth, she could trade a few moves with the youthful Hancock. Being a cadre on Wald’s ship, Nightin is considered a strong pirate.

The things learned from her allowed Robin to accurately find fatal weaknesses when attacking enemies, using the vulnerabilities of joints and nerves to achieve her kills rather than forcibly breaking the enemy’s bones with brute force.

Nightin highly evaluated Robin’s learning talent. If the opponent were a fixed target and their body not deformed, she could probably stab them a dozen times without hitting vital points.

Law and the others had an additional ten arms on their bodies. The power of the arms derived from Robin’s ability comes from her own strength, and after more detailed training, her physique also improved. As the arms surrounded them, she intended to twist their spines and necks.

The artifact smuggler had previously revealed the location of some items. She intended to reap the benefits, but just as she was about to take action, a sense of crisis suddenly emerged in her heart. She quickly deactivated her ability, but there were still a few blood streaks on her arms.

This is the weakness of her ability; if the derived limbs are injured, her body will also get injured. The damage to her ability was caused by thin threads, one of which had a blood bead hanging from it.

”Fufufufufu, isn’t this the famous Black Widow? How did this venomous spider end up here?”

At this moment, the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor was already open. Doflamingo was blatantly squatting there, his twitching fingers manipulating the thread he just used to attack.

Doflamingo cared about his cadres, as long as they held value and didn’t obstruct him. Otherwise, even blood relatives would be killed by him.

His brother, Rosinante, considered him a naturally evil person.

Baby-5 and the others were all reserve cadres of the Donquixote Clan. This was a trial for them, but other adult officers were also following them.

Doflamingo originally didn’t plan to show up, but Robin’s appearance disrupted his plans. His focus was on the New World, the place filled with monsters, and though he was in the North Sea, Doflamingo had been continuously interacting with the forces of the Grand Line.

And lately, Nico Robin had gained some fame in the Underworld. Every organization she infiltrated was nearly wiped out, yet she always managed to escape unscathed.

Initially, some thought it was just her luck or bad luck for those who recruited her, which is why she was given such a nickname.

From Doflamingo’s perspective, the nickname was fitting, but he didn’t believe it was luck. Once or twice could be chalked up to luck, but Robin took down four and a half organizations in a year; she was clearly the weaver behind the scenes.

Those who thought highly of themselves were just insects trapped in her web.

”Donquixote Doflamingo...”

”Fufu, does Miss Robin actually know me? That’s quite rare. So, have you considered joining me?”

He valued Robin’s ability because he thought it could greatly assist his future plans. As for any trust issues, he believed he was different from that group of fools, convinced Robin couldn’t cause problems under his command.

”I’m sorry, I decline the invitation.”

She had already gathered information here upon her arrival. The Donquixote Clan had just started dabbling in the Underworld of the Grand Line, whereas Hundred Beasts and BIG MOM were the established rulers there, so Robin had some understanding of them.

Their direction and hers were completely opposite, and this organization was not suitable for her.

”Oh? Can I assume you’re giving up your life?”

He didn’t plan to let such people go. If Robin refused, Doflamingo didn’t intend to allow her to leave alive.

”Of course not. I’m just considering you because you can’t afford the consequences of taking me.”

As Robin spoke, she pulled down the armband on her shoulder; the horned skull emblem was very conspicuous.

”Mr. Doflamingo, you should recognize this emblem. If you can convince Mr. Kaidou, then I wouldn’t have any objections.”

Compared to fools, Robin preferred encountering intelligent people. The flag of the Hundred Beasts might not work on brainless brutes and might even provoke them into challenging it.

But intelligent people with foresight, like Doflamingo who had been developing his Underworld network, would never risk offending a Sea Emperor.

And as Robin predicted, after seeing the emblem, Doflamingo’s expression turned notably unpleasant. He was unwilling to gamble on whether the Hundred Beasts knew the details here and whether his actions would lead to retaliation.

As a former Heavenly Celestial Dragon, he had a clear understanding of the world’s military power. Neither a Sea Emperor nor a Navy Admiral was an enemy he could face, or else he wouldn’t be constantly pursued by Tsuru.

He’d rather offend an Admiral than offend a Great Pirate like Kaidou. With the secrets he held, he was confident he could make the World Government halt the Navy’s actions, but pirates were different; those lawless individuals acted entirely by their whims.

Offending a monster like Kaidou would only lead to a quicker death.

With a slight movement of his fingers, Doflamingo retracted the threads he had released.

However, looking at the emblem on Robin’s shoulder, Law showed a different expression...
