Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 465: Chapter 464: Wedding Finale

Bang! Bang! Bang!

These are not gunshots. Nowadays, no one has the ability to sneak into Ghost Island without being detected. Even if they could, causing trouble on such a joyous day would be a failure on everyone in the Hundred Beasts crew if that person saw the next sunrise.

This was the sound of the Flower Bombs going off, colorful streamers fluttered down with the wind, accompanied by starry butterflies dancing in the sky creating a new scene.

Queen even replaced the flamethrower in his mechanical hand, and now, acting as the wedding emcee, his arm was also shooting out streamers.

Although Arceus crafted a unique wedding hall for Zeraora, he didn’t appear in person, and neither did Kaidou. They just sat at the back gulping down drinks, as their presence could easily overshadow the guests of honor.

The protagonists of the wedding were Setsuna and Zeraora, and they had no need to step out to attract attention.

”Hurry, Brother Zeraora, the bride is waiting for you!”

”Yeah, don’t keep her waiting!”

Urging voices came sporadically from the surrounding audience. No one was maliciously disrupting them, but they certainly didn’t mind adding more to the wedding atmosphere this way.

”Sister, sister, you look so beautiful today.”

Behind Setsuna were Perona and Wanda, who were carrying the train of her wedding dress. They had taken on the roles of flower girls.

The occasional sound of shutters was the Rotom flying in the air, capturing details of the wedding for them as memories to cherish in the future.

The path made of flowers was not long, yet it was the longest road Zeraora had ever walked. Endowed with the name of Lightning, even to circle Ghost Island would not take much time, but now his steps were somewhat heavy.

This made him feel more pressured than when fighting against the Navy; occasionally urging voices came from the surroundings. If it weren’t for the fur covering his face, he might have turned into a red cat by now.

With every step he and Setsuna took, the flowers behind them would float in the air. As they came together, the flower road behind them vanished, while the petals dispersed in the air formed a giant heart.

The starry butterflies in the sky shattered one after another, and diamond-like stellar powder scattered down, enveloping them under a starlight waterfall.

The one who walked up next was not Queen, but Misu, the only legitimate religious person within the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew. Although it would have been more appropriate for a Priest to perform this duty, a Nun could also serve this role.

She held in her hand a white-covered booklet, with an intersecting pattern of two Thousand Cosmos Bracelets within. Of course, there was no belief in God here; even for a Western-style wedding, what was believed in was the Arceus Sect.

Not all wedding attendees were pirates; there were also some from Wano Kuni, like Musashi and Kojiro. Even Hyogoro and his wife were invited, but the Kozuki Family did not have this privilege.

The Hundred Beasts regarded them as a General; they were a General, but there was no need to invite a puppet General at this time, as placing them anywhere would be inappropriate.

”It’s really wonderful, Little Soldier. Watching these young people makes me feel twenty years younger.”

”Not enough, it has to be thirty years at least. We had just gotten married back then...”

Recalling past experiences, Hyogoro also revealed a look of happiness. This wedding was unlike anything they had ever witnessed, vastly different from traditional weddings in Wano Kuni.

They considered a wedding in the Wano Kuni style, but it was ultimately dismissed. They felt that style wasn’t quite fitting.

Ohara scholars from Sky Island, doctors from all over, core employees of the Hundred Beasts Fruit, people from all walks of life, all were witnessing the final moments.

”Zeraora, do you vow in the name of Lord Arceus?

Do you wish to take Setsuna as your wife?

Do you vow to adhere to the marriage vows, to love her, comfort her, honor and protect her in times of poverty or wealth, sickness or health, beauty or fading, success or adversity, and remain loyal to her for all your days?”

”I do!”

”Setsuna, do you vow in the name of Lord Arceus, to take Zeraora as your husband?

To live together in this sacred marriage, loving him, comforting him, honoring and protecting him in times of sickness and health, poverty and wealth, beauty and fading, success and adversity, and remain loyal to him for all eternity?”

”I do!”

Their responses were without hesitation, marking the end of years of courtship. After giving their answers, no one handed over the rings.

Whether it was elves formed from moonlight or falling starlight, they began to congregate at one point, and finally, a pair of rings appeared before them.

”You may now exchange rings, and of course, you may kiss the bride.”

A kiss beneath the moon marked the end of the wedding and the beginning of the reception. Amidst the unstoppable clamor below, Queen took the microphone once again.

”Alright, little ones, the bride and groom need to attend to their own matters now! Following this is your time to revel; the reception begins! Wine, grilled meat, feel free to help yourselves!”

”Oh!!!!”

As the wedding protagonists exited, the pirates also embraced their own revelry. The part where the bride and groom toasted the guests was canceled, and they just had small gatherings with their close friends, while Kaidou had become the ’drink blocker’.

Engaging in a drinking contest with his subordinates, Queen was showcasing his dance moves with a few underlings, yet not many paid attention to him.

King was eating his food with a trace of ”elegance,” while also dealing with Shaina’s critiques.

”I say, King, you don’t need to eat like this, right?”

Shaina’s mask only covered most of her face, leaving her mouth exposed, so eating wasn’t too troublesome. Although King’s face gear didn’t impede eating, his dining style was very peculiar.

He didn’t use his hands but instead infused his head to eat with Aerodactyl’s long beak, making his appearance quite twisted.

”I’ve gotten used to it; sometimes it’s quite nice this way.”

”Etiquette, don’t discard all that...”

Simultaneously, the children’s table at the wedding banquet began its own boisterous day.

”Little Pe, Little Pe? What are you looking at?”

”Watching the stars, they’re so beautiful... I also..”

”You’re not thinking! I won’t let another woman take you away... and definitely not a man!”

Saying this, she glanced at Jack, then emphasized the latter part, though Ulti conceded that the scene was indeed beautiful.

This table contained a large number of little girls, many of whom were interested in this, even if some had unconventional aesthetics.

However, Yamato showed no sign of envy because she was pondering whether to ask Arceus to showcase a similar scene for her once more.
