Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 485: Chapter 484: The Dust Settles in the Reshuffling Battle, the Pirate Flag Only Works on the Smart Ones

Arceus and Kaidou could both see that Mandfeish had tried his best, whether it was combat strategy or skill, bravery or perseverance, he had pushed himself to the limit, but unfortunately, he was up against Setsuna.

It’s not just him who protects his wife; Zeraora does too. As Arceus’s eldest son and the favored wife’s spouse, Setsuna received many benefits.

Training from Kaidou, support from Lucario, and, at the same time, the big guns of Mega Evolution and Moon Lion.

Her ability to inherit the throne means Hichugiskhan has already recognized her strength. The enhancement brought by the Moon Lion form of someone at her level in the Fur Race is terrifying.

Not to mention, Setsuna’s dual stacking. If Mandfeish could defeat Setsuna in this state, an extra seat should be added to the Three Disaster rank.

And his luck was also not very good. The natural talent of the Fur Race was a restraint for him, but luck is also part of strength. Mandfeish’s good fortune and misfortune always alternated perfectly, adhering to the conservation of fortune law.

Just as Kaidou said, it’s not because Mandfeish is weak, but because Setsuna is too strong.

When the Numberer was proposed, it was a lineup from 0-100, totaling 101 numbers, where the 0 seat was the most special, signifying power comparable to the Three Disaster.

Thus, it had been vacant until now, when Setsuna’s performance has been enough to take on the number zero role, and with dual buffs, her explosive power is remarkable. Similarly, Mandfeish’s strength was not weak, and he naturally made some subtle changes.

Other battles on the ground continued as well, with Emmalyn and Drake pressing forward, even as Pierman with new abilities began to challenge upward. Although Corsola was not as strong as Luxray and Lurantis, its water and rock dual attributes were decent.

The extra coral spikes on its body also increased its Rollout power significantly, slowly inching upwards.

”Ulti...head spear!”

As a helmet-loving kid, Ulti loved using her head to hit people, even with a Haxorus. The sharp axe teeth only enhanced her head spear’s power.

Meanwhile, on the adjacent grounds, Page One burst forth from the ground. The Bastiodon transformed into a Garchomp now counted as Overlord-Level Pokemon in size, filling his age’s disadvantage.

For a Garchomp, the land and sea were no different, allowing him to swim freely, and the massive emerging shark dealt substantial damage to enemies.

At the same time, Sasaki had just defeated an opponent, but before he could continue challenging upwards, Jack appeared as his challenger.

Just like Ulti, a brother-protecting maniac, Jack decided to showcase his strength to not underestimate kids, especially those under his protection.

....

Thump! Boom! Clang!

The sound of metal collisions echoed as Copperajah and Bastiodon’s metallic bodies clashed fiercely, lacking the variety of techniques in Setsuna and Mandfeish’s battle or the agility in Drake and Emmalyn’s fight, consisting solely of raw, muscular combat.

Against Sasaki’s attack, Jack didn’t even dodge, opting to take it head-on. This style of fighting best convinces people of one’s strength.

However, Jack dared to do this out of confidence in his physique, whereas Sasaki mimicking him was unwise. While Bastiodon’s defense was high, it ultimately defended its exterior, and blunt force attacks still impacted its interior, not to mention Jack was from the Fishman Race.

After trading countless blows, Sasaki began to pant heavily, and Jack decided to land the final hit.

”Fishman Karate: Samegawara Seiken!”

The Fishman Race isn’t weak, or rather, their ancestors weren’t weak. Armament Haki, when trained to a high level, can achieve internal destruction. However, Fishman Karate’s basis is to vibrate the opponent’s internal water for greater damage.

One could say Fishman Karate could cause greater destruction more simply, but many people haven’t mastered it and rely on brute force in confrontations. Although the Fishman Race is stronger, this wastes Fishman Karate.

The punch landed squarely on the face, and Bastiodon’s facial defense failed to provide much protection against Fishman Karate, with freshly appointed Sasaki passing out instantly.

After a full two days of combat, this ranking battle finally concluded.

This ranking battle could be seen as a big reshuffle, with many strong newcomers occupying higher seats, except for the first segment, which saw no substantial changes.

NO.0 - Setsuna - Lucario

NO.1 - Mandfeish - Gyarados

NO.2 - Elizabeth - Inteleon

NO.3 - Babanuki - Slaking

NO.4 - Delatorre Emmalyn - Lurantis

NO.5 - Francis Drake - Luxray

NO.6 - Daifugo - Golisopod

NO.7 - Hold’em - Pyroar

NO.8 - Scotch - Magnemite

NO.9 - Drew Pierman - Corsola

No one was dissatisfied as this type of battle was relatively fair. Although some believed that if they had the ability, they wouldn’t lose to those above, they hadn’t achieved enough accomplishments to make such claims.

The Hundred Beasts never prestige upon those with meritorious deeds, so some failures applied to leave Ghost Island, searching for combat opportunities outside to achieve higher accomplishments.

Page One and Ulti also secured seats at the bottom and maintained them in subsequent challenges.

Jack wasn’t interested in this for now. If it weren’t for Sasaki’s disrespect towards Page One, he probably wouldn’t have competed. Jack planned to challenge them in a few years, ensuring trivial matters didn’t interfere with his training. Thus, after defeating Sasaki, he chose not to advance further.

Maria shared similar thoughts with Jack, while Sasaki originally could have obtained a higher seat.

However, his bout with Jack took too much stamina, and the healing herbs provided only healed injuries without restoring stamina, acting as a test of endurance.

Even after awakening to challenge again, he still felt powerless, gaining only a spot at the bottom.

Some rankings also embodied the Master of Opposite Attribute principle, where attributes affected outcomes but weren’t everything. An overwhelming difference in strength could negate attribute advantages.

Among them, Daifugo, Hold’em, and Scotch fell into a closed loop of internal conflict: Hold’em couldn’t defeat Daifugo, Daifugo couldn’t defeat Scotch, and Scotch couldn’t defeat Hold’em.

Ultimately, Daifugo triumphed in a final endurance battle, while Scotch, due to being a Modified Person, lacked agility. Additionally, Queen wasn’t as attentive as he was with himself during Scotch’s modification, leading to this final standing.

As the internal clashes within the Hundred Beasts concluded, the cadres stationed outside began returning to their posts, and overseas, the Hundred Beasts Pirates were still on the move.

On an island in the North Sea, Doflamingo’s expression turned sour because Nico Robin, bearing the emblem on her shoulder, was sitting right in front of him.

The flag of a Sea Emperor carries a certain deterrent effect, especially for those wise enough to recognize its potency.
